In this locations defense, the manager at this location did reach out eventually and have a conversation with me - they also hired some new staff members for the early morning 5AM shift that are more attentive and can be seen cleaning, however, issues unfortunately remain at this location that warrant a follow up. Having been to at least 10 different PF locations around Austin' and the greater surrounding area I can unequivocally state that this location remains to be the worst that I frequent which is unfortunate considering this Anderson Mill is the one closest in proximity to my 9-5 I'm writing this review so that additional resources can be put into the Anderson Mill location in order to remedy the ONGOING (several months) issues with the showers. This location has gone weeks with multiple showers being out of order due to an ongoing and unresolved leak. This means for those of us that shower after our workout prior to heading into our jobs we either had to wait in a line of people before using facilities (or in my case) have to cut my gym session short 10-15min in order to be the first in the shower to avoid congestion. Fast forward several weeks EVERY shower is now non-functional due to that same leak creating mold This poses an even greater inconvenience as now members have NO ability to shower after their workouts before heading into work. Not sure what can be done to address this but it's made working out at this location extremely cumbersome - the signs posted to the now closed off showers clearly state "BEING REMEDIED FOR MOLD". My presumption based on this locations history is that this leak and mold issue will likely NOT be fixed expeditiously - not being able to shower prior to my work shift after sweating is not ideal. I am now having to look at Golds Gym within the same proximity so that I can continue my morning workout schedule as I require shower facilities after working out prior to heading into work - a major inconvenience considering I've been a member of PF for over a decade at this point with this gym being my primary. Not stoked about having to carry/pay for 2 gym memberships nor am I even sure Gold's Gym offers a month to month option with no contract; at this point, however, I am not sure I have any other option in the interim. I've been coming here for 15 years, and the pattern is unmistakable: loyal members keep paying, the staff keep holding the place together, and ownership keeps cutting corners while the club falls apart around them. The trainers and frontline staff are not the problem. The problem is ownership and the standards it tolerates. This club is being treated like a cash cow. THE MEN'S LOCKER ROOM IS DISGUSTING * Bugs come out of the drains. * Showers and drains are filthy. * Hair, grime, used Band-Aids, and debris are routinely left behind. * Lockers contain hair and dirt. * Tiles are broken where people walk barefoot. * There appears to be mold in places. * Dirt and hair collect along walls, floors, fixtures, and corners. A member became so frustrated that he wrote the name of a drain-cleaning chemical directly on the wall. These are sanitation failures in a place where people shower and walk barefoot. One diligent cleaner cannot overcome weak standards, inadequate staffing, and deferred maintenance. THE CARDIO EQUIPMENT IS IN TERRIBLE CONDITION There are eight StairMasters. Four are broken. The remaining four operate roughly, with cranking, slipping, and uneven movement that can be felt while using them. Many ellipticals bang at both ends of their range of motion instead of providing smooth, low-impact movement. Powering on does not mean a machine is functioning properly. Weight machines have missing or mismatched pins, missing add-on weight pins, squeaking parts, visible wear, and repairs that can take months. THE ENTIRE CLUB FEELS CHEAPENED The personal training area is poorly lit, surrounded by stained ceiling tiles, has no mirrors, and contains equipment that looks improvised or secondhand. Trainers and members often bring in their own equipment. A useful digital clock was removed and replaced with cheap wall clocks. Small detail, same mentality: replace something functional with the cheapest substitute. The basketball court is routinely dirty, its air conditioning took months to repair, and a once-thriving pickup community has largely disappeared. The answer is not to remove the court. The answer is to maintain it. MEMBER LOYALTY HAS BECOME AN EXCUSE TO BE CHEAP Hancock remains busy because of its location, trainers, and offerings. Continued attendance does not make these conditions acceptable. People have built routines and relationships around this gym. Switching is inconvenient. Ownership seems to understand that and exploit it. The apparent strategy is to cut expenses, delay repairs, push more services, and extract as much revenue as possible while investing as little as possible back into the club. That may help the short-term bottom line, but it is damaging the gym and the brand. 24 HOUR FITNESS CORPORATE SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED Come look at Hancock Center without a corporate tour or advance warning. Look at the drains, broken tiles, showers, stained ceilings, broken StairMasters, banging ellipticals, dirty court edges, and filthy lockers. Then explain how this reflects a company that cares about the quality of its gyms. Hancock does not need another patch job. It needs real investment: deep-clean the locker rooms, repair the wet areas, service or replace failing equipment, improve the training area, maintain the basketball court, and give staff enough resources to meet a reasonable standard. This club has loyal members, good trainers, a valuable location, and a long history in Central Austin. Ownership is cutting maintenance and cleaning below the bare minimum, then greedily pocketing their profits at the expense of the gym, its members, the brand, and the community that supports it.

Very personable and had answered all of my questions about the locations schedule and where everything was as far as the locker area, workout stations, etc. Kristie is an asset to the company and 24 is very lucky to have her. Jonathan, Miranda, and Cash who also work the front, they're all great!! I do wanna add, whoever is serious about the gym life, this is the place to be. Come in, do your thing, and get out.

Be VERY cautious before signing up for personal training here…read more The initial "free session" was mostly a high-pressure sales process, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. Some aspects of the program also didn't match how they were presented during sign-up (things like guidance around goals, communication, and support outside of sessions). I do want to say that my trainer herself was kind and genuinely good during the sessions I had with her. I don't think the issue is the individual trainers as much as the structure of the program. That said, I did run into a couple of scheduling issues where I showed up for confirmed appointments that had been reassigned, and communication overall was inconsistent. I also would have appreciated more proactive follow-up--I needed to cancel my last session in December, life has been crazy, it's now Mid April and I never heard from anyone again--though I acknowledge I could have reached out as well. *****The biggest issue, however, has been the cancellation process.***** The contract requires written notice through a specific support email, and in practice, that process has been slow and difficult to navigate. It took multiple attempts to get clear direction, and communication was limited to being routed back to the same support channel without meaningful follow-through. Based on my experience and similar complaints from other customers, this appears to be a pattern. This creates a situation where it's easy to sign up, but MUCH harder than expected to cancel. I would strongly encourage anyone considering signing up to carefully review the cancellation terms and be prepared for a potentially frustrating process if you decide to end the program.
