The class was challenging, but accommodating and at no point did I feel shamed or embarrassed for not being able to do a full move. The class is like a mix of yoga, ballet, and Pilates and the instructor was great. If it wasn't 30 minutes from me (on a good day), I'd subscribe on the spot. I love that I can get a workout in a totally different way here than just taking yoga classes all the time. I want to get rid of my flabby arms, get nice legs, and basically tone my whole body, but yoga can only do so much! The sculpt and barre classes definitely target the areas that yoga does not! You may think you're fit, until you walk into one of these classes and feel the need to vomit several times (in a good way). Definitely my favorite studio I've attended since moving to Maryland. Even the aesthetics is super pleasing! It's a brand new studio, and you can definitely tell how new it is because of how pristine everything still is. But you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of it all. The yoga studio has 3 different sets of lights that are all on dimmers. The sconces and the ceiling perimeter lights are my favorite! You no longer have to deal with bright lights overhead whenever you're laying down on your back! They have a completely different room for the sculpt and barre classes, but both studios have surround sound, which I love! Normally, studios just have speakers in the front of the room which can either make it very loud in the front or not as motivational in the back. But here, the music can pump you up no matter where your mat is! I cannot recommend this studio enough and am so glad to have the opportunity to take such a great variety of classes with great teachers.

Every single instructor teaches such incredible classes and has great instructors like I barely look at whose name I'm signing up for. The strength and cardio slay. The class times are perfect. Everyone is friendly and positive and uplifting. They have dry shampoo in the bathrooms. The studio is beautiful like the brick and plants everywhere are so good. It's so clean and they give you a disinfecting wipe (not Clorox like a good wipe) for your props at the end so the props aren't grimy. It smells good because of the lemon candle they use. In general just such a positive space and the vibe is not to hate on your body it's to modify and like be balanced and functional The essential oils is what I will especially highlight because basically at the end of class they waft around these essential oils during breathwork and I am in loveeee with it!!!!! She was friendly and answered questions I had. -Sara was the instructor and great in explaining the class structure and reviewing proper form. Throughout the class she corrected my form which I appreciated so that I didn't get injured. Overall impressions: I thought the class was going to be a breeze but I was mistaken. My arms and legs were shaking and my muscles were twitching. I had to take frequent breaks and I ended up losing the ball and band for most of the class. As Sara said maintaining the proper form was most important. Who knew all the small movements could work all your muscles. Although I enjoyed the class, I prefer a gym that offers more variety of cardio and strength training classes. I don't think this gym fits with what I am looking for, but I enjoyed the opportunity to try something new.

Although the facility appears much larger in the website photos and videos, it was smaller than expected. However, I was really excited about the experience. Prior to the free class, the staff member provided a comprehensive tour of the facility that included information about the benefits of infrared technology and fitness. The keyless entry location features 24/7 accessibility. As for the workouts, each workout station includes virtual instruction. My favorite was the cycling station. The rooms are compact and blazingly hot, but heat-adjustable. For this reason, I could not imagine being in the enclosed compartments with two other people. The facility not only features the HIIT workouts, hot-cycle, hot-thunder, and hot-blast, but also Isometric workouts such as hot-iso, hot-pilates, and hot-yoga. There is also a small workout area in the back featuring free weights. Smith machine and TRX bands. There are two bathrooms featuring glass showers. They also feature brand merchandise at the front. Overall, the location was clean. The workout rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I went to a Zumba class in Odenton, and I had a blast! Since then I've joined as a member, and I've tried every single group class they offer, and I attend classes in both locations. I have lost over 30 lbs postpartum, going to a variety of the classes like Lift, barre, Push bootcamp, Spin, Fight, Centergy, Primal Yoga, and Zumba. This spring we are doing a 6 week run club and that is the coolest! When my daughter is a bit older I can't wait to bring her to Mommy & Me classes. She makes an occasional appearance at Zumba and it's the cutest! I've even gotten my senior mom to come to classes! As a woman-owned and managed gym, for women, it's my safe space and my happy place! The instructors and staff, childcare, and members are what make Transformations so amazing! And as a former member of some other expensive gyms, Transformations is very affordable! You can work out anywhere, but it won't have the supportive, fun vibes we have while we push each other to be our best selves, with grit and grace. I love my sweat sisters!
