However now I was unsuccessful in contacting anyone to schedule a facial that I bought on Groupon. Every time I texted the number to make an appointment I wouldn't receive a response immediately. Weeks will pass before I would receive a response. When I finally received a text message I was limited to a single time and day that did not work for my schedule. I am disappointed that I wasted $55 on this Groupon. I will find another esthetician.

My first-and last bikini wax was for my honeymoon and I remember half way through it thinking "why am I doing this to myself". The pain had my eyes tearing up- and I am a tattooed lady-not a stranger to pain. Anyway, I decided to give it a go again because the bumps from shaving are annoying as all hell. Wendy made me feel comfortable, relaxed, had great conversation to distract me and practically no pain. Not a wince, not a tear. Looking forward to being shave free this summer. I noticed fungus under one of my nails last week and was like crap-I need to go get them soaked off. Well, add busy life and I had a delay until today. I got them soaked off and 2 of them are pretty bad. She asked me where I got them done and I told her I get them done here!! Showed her the normal lady and chair that I sit in (my normal tech was doing other nails) As she's finishing my service, she tells me not to put anything on my nails. I totally understand and that is where I am devastated. How am I supposed to go to work looking like this???????? This was not my fault. I come to professionals for a reason!!! Then she charged me $35 for a soak off and manicure with no polish. This should have been FREE Ma'am. I just paid, left a small tip and left. I don't think they have a clue at how affected I am by this.

CRU-MM is one of those places. I remember that I was looking for an aesthetician at the time, and I was very impressed with CRU'MM's marketing materials and results. So I made an appointment for a facial and had a good experience overall. I remember Regina being very kind, her salon being very calming (with free snacks), and the facial itself being very good (notwithstanding a nasty acne bump I had on my face at the time). I have no complaints about the facial itself. The only reason I give the experience 4 (instead of 5) stars is because I remember a few things that were less than ideal. First, there is not clear communication about the exact location of the salon within the building, so that leads to unnecessary confusion after you arrive. Also, if I recall correctly, Regina was running a bit behind on the day I went, so I recall having to sit in a small waiting area while waiting for my appointment to finally start. There was one other couple there, and they were watching some kind of raunchy video on speaker. So it was not a relaxing or edifying experience before the facial began. Thankfully, the energy was very different inside Regina's salon once my appointment actually got started. In sum, I only visited once. But I had a good experience overall. Although it was not convenient enough of a location for me to continue going (such that I eventually found an amazing black aesthetician in Bethesda that I've been using for all these many years), I would still recommend that anyone in the Lanham area check CRU-MM out!
