My partner and I are remodeling our 1927 California Bungalow in North Park. We redesigned the floor plan throughout the home to include a master suite with a spacious master bathroom. We had a larger than normal master bath layout which called for a semi custom vanity. We reached out to several vendors and learned a tonnnn about kitchen cabinets / vanities (BEWARE! Kitchen cabinets vary in quality. Even if you have to spend a little more, it's well worth it since you'll be using them every day!) In making our final decision, quality and price were at the top of our priority list. Working with Pure Cabinets (Heidi) was great! She was extremely responsive, fast and detailed with what she could do. She turned around our quote very quickly and had a show room with a fair amount of options. The first design that we got from Pure Cabinets were not what we were looking for. We reached out to Heidi and explained how we wanted the layout / vanities (ie sink placement, drawer placement, etc.) and the updates were made to our liking with maybe a one day turnaround (Note: as the homeowner, have a detailed plan of what you want before fabrication to help your vendors deliver a product that YOU want). Pure turned the cabinets around within days and delivered prompted. We self performed the install so I can't really speak to that experience, but they look great! We are looking to add a pantry and definitely going to reach out to Heidi and her team to make a custom pantry for us. I would 100% keep Pure Cabinets on my cabinet vendor list. Pricing was solid. Quality seems to be great thus far. - Our cabinets came in a 1/2" plywood box which is extremely sturdy. Fritz Niemann is the best cabinet installer in the business! He and his helper were careful, kind, considerate and very precise. He is a true professional. We ended up getting quartzite for the counters and it's so beautiful. EV Granite installed them and they were also excellent and courteous. Know that once your cabinets are installed, it can take a bit to get the sink and counters installed. Hard to be patient but it's the nature of the business. After getting estimates from several companies, we went with pure cabinets because they were the best price and they also had immediate availability for installation. They price all their cabinets the same so when we wanted something more than just the regular shaker cabinets that every other company offers, their prices were very competitive for a better quality cabinet. Jai did our design and was very prompt with responding to changes. We wanted to do a pull out shelf for our blind corner and she was able to find one that would fit the cabinet opening. She was patient and walked us through all the different aspects of the cabinetry (i.e. crown molding, 36 vs 48 in cabinets). several iterations later, we were ready to sign our contract and move forward. In this pandemic world where everyone is experiencing supply chain issues, Heidi and team were able to work with us to get our first choice in hardware and cabinetry. We were working under a strict schedule and multiple contractors, but Heidis team at pure cabinets was able to work with the other contractors to expedite schedule. Carlos was our cabinet installer and he worked weekends to make sure our cabinets were installed in time for our flooring guys to come in and start laying out the floor. Since we weren't living in the house when he finished, he was very accommodating when we moved in and asked him to check out some stuff. Even after finding a leak unrelated to the cabinet installation, heidi and Carlos helped us reinstall drywall and the cabinets. It was great to be able to see and feel the quality of the cabinets and to get some design ideas. Heidi and the team were responsive to our calls and emails. After living with very old and deteriorating original particle board cabinets in our circa 1978 home we decided it was finally time to upgrade.
