Discovered I had a MAJOR critter infestation issue in the attic space above my condominium. In addition, all of the insulation had disintegrated and been compromised with critter (rat, squirrel and mice) droppings and urine. And, if that wasn't bad enough, most all of the HVAC vents (supply, return & exhaust) were broken, damaged and not functioning properly. As a result, any "air" coming into the condominium contained fiberglass particles from the insulation as well as animal feces and urine. Learning this finally explained why our family members were all experiencing severe respiratory issues. Pure Eco Inc. proved to be THE ANSWER! I called late in the afternoon and the next morning, BENI KEMENETSKY arrived at our home. Beni did a complete inspection of the attic space, the inside of the condominium, as well as the outside perimeter of our unit. Once Beni's assessment was complete, Beni provided a full-service solution to our serious dilemma. I was especially impressed with the variety of options that Pure Eco Inc. offers. Beni explained our "must-dos" to ensure a resolution to our immediate problem and also provided a "suggested" list of options that would further enhance our home and living comfort. The working crew was led by ARMANDO. He arrived with his work team on time every single day. The preparation for the project included premium plastic covering for all exposed flooring, walls and furniture. They even used special indoor scaffolding to secure the plastic so no tape was used that might harm the floor, walls or furniture and so we would not be exposed to any harmful debris. We have an elevator in our building and even that was prepped and protected! Armando explained exactly what the crew planned to do and at the end of each day, Armando showed me photos and videos of the areas they worked on (I could not get into the attic space - it is so narrow that the technicians all had to work on their stomachs!) Armando and all of his crew members were courteous, knowledgeable, conscientious, skilled, patient and kind. Each technician was willing to answer any questions or concerns I had. When they were finished with the job, the crew left the work space IMMACULATE - I even said to one of the guys "it's as though you were never here!". Pure Eco was invited to bid on a ceiling insulation job to deaden noise from upstairs neighbors who recently had hardwood floors installed. We are able to hear screws/nails/hardware dropping on their floors (this is how noisy it is). We were informed during the quoting process that the open cell spray foam insulation would deaden sound by about 60%, and the price offered was quite reasonable, so the property management company approved the work to be done. We were set for an 8 am crew start time, but the crew did not arrive until 4:15 in the afternoon. They had to reschedule the effort for the next morning. We were told by the consultant that the job would only take a few hours, but when the team arrived at 6 m the next morning, the job actually took 9 hours. While the work was performed as requested, the insulation did not deaden any noise whatsoever from the upstairs apartment. We were also told that this method of insulation was less invasive than removing drywall and installing standard insulation and this is probably not the case. We were left with 1.5" diameter holes every 18 inches in the ceiling and now have hundresds of holes to patch. The effort was a waste of time and thousands of dollars. If you are looking for this type of insulation for sound deadening between floors, don't bother. read more

There are very few experiences that we have had that were better than our hiring Pure Eco to handle our Ducting, our Rat Proofing, under house and in the attic, the attic clean-out as well as the disinfecting and finally the installation of our Certainteed R-30 Bat Insulation. Namely, Beni our consultant, was very professional, respectful, expert and efficient as well as a man of his word. He even showed up with the VP of Operations Warren during the install. PureEco Chatsworth was great -- until I asked them to pull a permit in order for me to get the DWP rebate. (Mind you, all attic insulation in Los Angeles requires a permit.) I faced a steady barrage of phone calls from upper management, arguing with me why they couldn't do it, even had the project manager tell me it wouldn't pass (it did.) Another major issue with them to be very aware of is Warren the VP and Beni the project manager stated they have a "minimum charge" which appears to be about $3300K -- so it didn't matter that my 1180 square foot project should have pencilled out to $1770, with their ads stating attic cleaning included which was verified by two other staff members. So ignore the $1.89 a square foot (they did lower mine to $1.50 because I supplied the insulation) because they're going to charge you what they're going to charge you regardless. False advertising! They also claimed there's a disclaimer, but I could find zero disclaimers in their ads and in their contract. Henry led a great and probably underpaid work crew, no issues with them, but management leaves much to be desired. Pay attention; get everything in writing; and ask if cleaning is included in the price as the ads and their website states. My experience also echoes Jennifer P's from Long Beach -- I withheld $500 for my time dealing with them which I thought was fair given that I was overcharged and that work stated as included in their ad was not performed (attic cleaning and vent sealing), only to have VP Warren threaten me with collections and a mechanics lien. So I paid it and wrote this review so others may be aware of their tactics. read more

When I first initially reached out to them till when their sales rep came out to give an estimate. Everything was professional and friendly. After a few days later, their sales rep reached out to me again and when I responded that I was going to have to hold off on the insulation because I needed to get our roof repaired first. The sales rep's response and friendliness turned 180. His message sounds like blaming me for not telling him about the re-roof (which I believe that should be up to my discretionary) and how I mentioned I wanted to get the job done this month (which I do not recall in saying that). There is no excuse in speaking in that language to your potential customer. I totally understand about material prices going up and I never expected them to hold their quote either. I only said that's great news about the quote hold and I will reach out again and we can go from there. Nothing was signed as well. Overall experience could have been great and kept simple. But with the response from their sales rep left a sour taste. PS. When the sales rep was giving me the estimate on spot. Was asking me several times, what makes you not want to sign now with us? However, the okay review is due to the sales rep-Beni: He promised an attic fan and a 25-year warranty but didn't deliver on either citing that he did not write it down and moreover, when he said 25-year warranty he the life expectancy of the installation material, not labor, etc. My mistake was not ensuring that this information had been written down instead of trusting him verbally. Pure Eco was quite persistent on yelp to convince me to get an appointment. Their rate is not the lowest but somehow I ended up working with them. Beni mentioned I already have radiant barriers from my cool roof whereas the other company did not. They had the insulation delivered the next day and I had to cover them as it rained the day before installation day. But all went well from 8 am to 2pm insulation day. They taped up the area in the house with plastic to keep the dust out. The four men were well behaved and did the job quietly except for the loud vacuum used to pull out the dirt from the attic: old roof bits and old blowin insulation. An attic fan was also installed. The best part I am able to see is four of the screen barriers they put over the outside of the attic to block out any pests. I had makeshift nylon pieces over the four holes for the longest time. PureEco seems very professional and got the job done as promised. Anything they had taken out they restored it back e.g torn bits off my popcorn from the plastic were patched back. Wow! What a difference wall and floor insulation makes! Our master bedroom has always been the coldest in the house as it is in the corner and gets the most wind compared to the rest of the house. Burr... so we finally decided to get the walls insulated. We called Pure Eco to get an estimate and Joshua came out the next day. He provided us with the best option given the company minimum (which he was upfront about). For the price, we were able to get our two walls treated with blow-in insulation and floors with rollout insulation in our crawl space. Danny Juan and his associate came out promptly the next day and completed the insulation within a few hours. Our house is 100 years old and still has lath and plaster for walls and ceiling and can easily crack with pressure. They were able to cut clean holes into the walls without causing any cracks and install the blow-in insulation. Nice! They covered the area to minimize dust away from the walls which was very much appreciated. I waited a few days to write the review as I wanted to see what the room is like with the insulation and it is great! It is now the same temperature as the rest of the house (if not slightly warmer), and is more quiet to boot (we live in an urban area of Long Beach)! We are still getting the 31 holes plastered and painted, but they achieved their objective of making the room less exposed to the elements with blow-in insulation. Juan noted that floor insulation helps with retaining heat and that attic ceiling insulation will help with keeping the room cooler in the summer. If we decide to get attic insulation for the whole house we will be calling Pure Eco again. Everyone that I interacted with was not only professional and courteous but also very knowledgeable and skilled. I contacted Pure Eco to inquire about attic fans. I needed to reduce the heat in our attic. Eli from Pure Eco came out and he assessed the area and came up with a quote. So the following week Armando and crew arrived to install the fans, inspect and replace 2 sections of ducting , added some insulation in a couple of bare areas. The crew did a very god job with the install. They laid down plastic on the floors and pretty much kept the area clean. They made sure the area was clean when done. The fans work too good. They do move quite a bit of air. they come on and off by a thermostat control. They do a good job of cooling down the attic. The duct work made a noticeable improvement on the way my HVAC system operates. The only issue I had was no credit cards accepted so I had to write a check.
