During the process, I came in contact with about a half dozen team members, all of whom were friendly, professional, and personally concerned with our wellbeing. That was important because I found that ridding a home of rodents is not easily achieved. The initial step was to survey the house, seal potential entry sites, then set the traps. The HS team completed the process and set up an appointment to check the traps. after a couple visits, we still heard the vermin scratching around. So, HS brought in a senior inspector who found a few open areas I never would have thought to identify (openings between the outside wall and the foundation that were tucked up underneath the visible area). Those areas were sealed and within ten days, we no longer heard anything. I check of the traps today revealed a large intruder had been eliminated. Home shield performed like partners in our quest to eliminated rodents from our home. They came back as often as needed without complaint and escalated appropriately to assure our problem was solved. And importantly, they never once questioned our reports of hearing critters.

From a customer's perspective, everything is presented as one company, but once you actually deal with different services, it feels like you are dealing with completely different companies. The communication between departments is confusing, and customers are left to deal with the consequences of their internal organization. What is even more frustrating is what happens when you try to change your plan. You would think that as a long-term customer, you should have some flexibility to switch between services, especially when you no longer need a particular service. Instead, I was told that changing my plan could result in a cancellation fee before I could move to another service. This is extremely frustrating and feels very unfair. I am essentially being charged for trying to change services within the same company. The way these plans and cancellation policies are structured is not clear enough, and I believe customers should pay very close attention to the fine print before signing up. I consider myself one of the customers who has been negatively affected by this system. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a loyal customer for a long time. You would expect a long-term customer to be treated better, not feel like they are being trapped by complicated plan structures and cancellation fees. My biggest concern is the lack of transparency. The company may present everything under one brand, but when you actually need to make changes, the process can become extremely complicated. Customers should be clearly informed upfront about which services are handled separately, what happens if they want to switch plans, and whether cancellation fees will apply. I am sharing my experience because I want potential customers to be aware of these issues before signing up. After being a long-term customer, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in the company. I hope they will eventually make their plans, fees, and policies much more transparent and customer-friendly.

I chose Precise Air Systems through Costco because I trusted the Costco partnership, even though…read moreseveral other HVAC companies offered lower prices. From the beginning, I was required to pay the full amount upfront before any work started, which I later found concerning. One major issue was related to asbestos. Every other contractor I received quotes from had already included asbestos removal costs in their total estimate, which is common for older homes in the Burbank area. Although this company had already visited the property and inspected it beforehand to provide an estimate--just like other contractors--they suddenly raised asbestos concerns in the middle of the project and stopped the work. The project was then delayed for over a week, and despite multiple attempts to contact them, I received little to no response. Later, they even requested additional charges. The scheduling and communication were extremely frustrating throughout the entire process. I repeatedly adjusted my personal schedule to accommodate their work. In particular, on Friday, the project manager directly told me that they would come on Saturday to complete the remaining work. Based on that, I stayed home and waited. However, no one showed up, no one contacted me, and later I was simply told that they do not work on Saturdays and that I should call the office myself to reschedule. There was not even a proper apology. It is also unreasonable to expect the customer to coordinate scheduling, as it is the contractor's responsibility to manage the schedule and complete the project once the work has started. From my experience, it felt like the company schedules work based on their own convenience and profit, rather than respecting the customer's time and commitments. While the technicians on site were polite and hardworking, the overall project management, scheduling, and communication were very disappointing.
