I recently had my furnace removed from my crawl space, and needed to have it cleaned and sanitized. Since my house is on a hill I have had problems with rodents obtaining entry into the space. They determined that there were none residing in there and sealed off all possible entry points both inside and outside. There was some dirt that had shifted and they removed it all. Then they sprayed a non toxic liquid sanitizing liquid throughout the location. It took the almost 4 hours. The job was quite expensive but Eli made some concessions for me. Shop around, people. There are far less expensive and far more professional companies out there. Pure Eco was the first of four from whom I requested a quote for insulation of our subfloor. Their estimate was $5000 more than the company I went with. You read that correctly: FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. Pure Eco wasn't even anywhere near the average estimate I received from three of their competitors. What's more, they were the only company whose representative tried to hard sell me. Benny asked to come inside (after being on his hands and knees just inside my crawl space, which was gross, but I obliged). He presented his quote. I said my wife and I would need to discuss our options. He asked if my wife was home, and why couldn't I go get her and we talk right then? I had to firmly explain that he wouldn't be getting an answer right away that morning, as if I was going to make a quick decision on an $8000 job without some deliberation. Completely obnoxious sales tactics. Pure Eco was also the only company who told me I needed an expensive vapor barrier. While renovating our new home, we realized there was no insulation. I called for an estimate. The girl that came out was so unprofessional. She didn't even measure my house. Asked about how many sq I thought I'd need. I ball parked and gave her a sq ft. She gave me a price. When I asked for the ceiling insulation price she told me the price would be determined once they open everything up. She was wasting my time so I told her thank you I'll be in touch. She then proceeded to say if I agree on it today then they'd give me a discount (I forgot 5% or something like that) I told her I'd have to discuss it with my husband. She kept saying why don't you go talk to your husband because if I leave the offer is no longer there. I told her I understand but we'd have to think about it. She kept pushing it a few more times. Then, she said ok call when you're ready but you won't be getting the discount. I was so appalled. As soon as she walked out I ripped up the estimate and tossed it. If I'm spending over 5k+, I definitely expect a level of professionalism and I don't expect to be given an ultimatum. Another company came, they measured out everything and explained what would be done throughly. Offered me the same discount and before I said anything told me to think about it. They said book within a week the offer would still stand. My experience was terrible. She came on her high horse ,all entitled, acting like I was obligated to give her my business. Danny and Ruben did a great job. I came upon Pure Eco from the weekly home improvement mailers. I called a few businesses from here to get quotes. I'm not going to disparage any businesses but here's how it went: I booked three consultations. The first called to confirm the morning of the appointment (appeared to be from a call center); this didn't work out due to their insistence that my wife be at the consult with me. The second came out, spent five minutes inspecting and told me they wouldn't touch the job because there was asbestos in the ducting (without any testing); of course, they provide asbestos removal. I have yet to hear from anyone who didn't hear about asbestos from them. Pure Eco was the third and I was skeptical. Beni arrived early, spent some time, and sat down to give me an honest quote. They work on a very a la carte basis and will give you recommendations but the homeowner ultimately decides what service is needed. He offered a very competitive price for service THE NEXT DAY. Given all of the delays experienced so far, I might have paid more for next day service but was happy to pay less. The crew showed up 15-minutes before the two-hour window. I don't know if they sandbag on their estimates or I just got lucky. I'm happy either way. I had R-30 blown in and it took about 2.5 hours. They were happy to access via whichever way was least impactful to us. I was shocked at how quiet the process was. I inspected and things look great. They place markers in the space to show that the insulation is packed to the appropriate height. They send pictures of before and after. And they take care to clean up after themselves. I mean... I hope I don't need new insulation for another 20-years but if I do, I'll call these folks. read more

I recently had Pure Eco install additional two layers of drywall in my shared condo wall for better sound insulation between my neighbor. Sara was the best person to deal with across all industry. She listens instead of trying to talk over you like most sales people, and figures out the best solution. But where she shines the most was how she follows through on every communication. The drywall installer initially did not do a very good job of patching and resurfacing, but Sara would always call after the job was done to make sure we were satisfied. I really wanted to give Pure Eco a 5 star, but I have to deduct one for the drywall installer as it took him several tries. I would use them again for another job in the future. read more

Very professional and courteous. Inspection team was very thorough and direct with what needed to be done. Price was reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Once the crew showed up it was straight to the job, and all the crew were very professional as well. Took the whole day, but the results were great. We had a terrible rodent problem that destroyed most of our ducts. They came in put up last OC around all the furniture laid down paper flooring and started up the vacuuming. Once done it was sanatized and all the rodent entry points including those in the crawl space were blocked off and foamed shut. All new insulation was added as well as all new duct work to complete the job. We even had them come back the next week to replace an attic fan that we found out wasn't working anymore.
