I contacted Pure Eco to inquire about attic fans. I needed to reduce the heat in our attic. Eli from Pure Eco came out and he assessed the area and came up with a quote. So the following week Armando and crew arrived to install the fans, inspect and replace 2 sections of ducting , added some insulation in a couple of bare areas. The crew did a very god job with the install. They laid down plastic on the floors and pretty much kept the area clean. They made sure the area was clean when done. The fans work too good. They do move quite a bit of air. they come on and off by a thermostat control. They do a good job of cooling down the attic. The duct work made a noticeable improvement on the way my HVAC system operates. The only issue I had was no credit cards accepted so I had to write a check. I had to find my checkbook and after cleaning of the dust and cob webs, I wrote them a check for this work. I recommend Pure Eco. No lies, No issues, and good people that know what they are doing. read more

Based on the great yelp reviews i settled for Pure Eco even though the quote was 5-10% higher than its competitors. The sales pitch was your typical house call, measurements, and lots of scribbles on a pad of paper to come up with a price. Jacob seemed knowledgeable but was also fairly pushy compared to other companies. He recommended the whole sha-bang, while other companies offered much cheaper options. I went with it all, insulation floor and wall, radiant barrier, and rat proof seal. Other companies were throwing in rat proof sealing and even storage build-outs for free. The install experience was pretty good. The team came an hour late, but got to work immediately. They lined the floors, but not the walls, nor did they create a "tunnel" like Jacob said they would. I even questioned this when he asked, but he insisted they would. Around mid-day I get a call to say the quote was off. Off by 100sq ft for the floor insulation, and off by another 100sq ft for the wall insulation. Note that my total floor was only 730 sqft. They missed this by 18.87% and increased by price by over 15%. Absolutely ridiculous. What's worse is when I questioned how this was missed - I get a text saying " We measured together your attic isn't a simple rectangle" - during our phone call he again mentioned I was there and "helped him with measurements" - . He did ask me to hold one end of the tape, but i did none of the calculations. This guy is absolutely ridiculous and arrogant. During the final walk through - I noticed the vents were not 'rat proofed' as promised, none of them. The installers mentioned they never do the roof vents, only ones on the floor - yet Jacob sold this to me while doing our quote inspection. Without question the installers jumped into action and fixed this. 5 stars for install crew - 0 for Jacob. There seems to be alot of misunderstandings between the install crew and sales. Sales is definitely overselling - I recommend you put him in a jumpsuit and make him do a install himself to know what the entire process really entails. Also noticed the attic entrance was damaged, and someone stepped through the ceiling in my bathroom. Several (around 10) zippers heads were found in my garage afterwards as well - possible tire puncture hazards. Overall a blood boiling experience. I would not recommend. read more

Never- not ever- no way- Uh uh - N.O. Don't go to Pure Eco! I tried to get an estimate from this company, I sent them photos and dimensions to install exposed ductwork. Without even sending anyone out they sent me an estimate for $2000.00 and then immediately followed up with an estimate for $5000.00 saying they had made a mistake and not included the exposed ductwork (my whole reason for soliciting the quote). When I asked to break down materials so my inspector could review to make sure it was fair they said they don't break down their quotes that way. So you raised my quote by 150% due to YOUR mistake on materials but you won't show me what those materials are??? I don't think so...10/22/20 Update the sales manager and partner both called me to apologize for the incorrect quote and explain that the person who had dealt with me is still in training. There were very apologetic and went the extra mile to reach out personally and are re-working the quote. 11/12/20 yet another review...sadly back to one star from 3. After our initially getting off to the wrong foot I decided to go with PureEco for the work. They were so apologetic after their initial error that I thought they would probably do a really excellent job based on the other reviews. Unfortunately the job was plagued with more miscommunications and careless customer service. The one bright spot was Pablo - the installer who came and did the work. He was very knowledgeable and did excellent work. Unfortunately they did not install what I wanted. I texted PHOTOs to the scheduler Jasmin - the same photo I had already sent to her, and to the owner Sara when we initially spoke about getting the quote right - the week before the install date just to confirm the vent styling that I wanted. She responded with yes we're clear I talked to the install supervisor. Imagine my shock and disappointment- having double checked that all was clear - when I come out of my office an hour into the work and see something quite different than what I had asked for. Super awkward when I stopped him to show him a photo he had obviously never seen (he asked me to blow it up so he could look more closely). He offered to do it the way I wanted but also explained why the style he was doing would work better for my space. It's still nice work, Pablo is amazing, but not what I wanted or expected for the price I was quoted. I called the office to inform them of the snafu because I would think any professional business would want to know. I ended up discussing every detail of the communication (including screen shots of my text exchanges with Jasmin) with the owner Sara. Ultimately she offered to give me $150 off a $2800.00 bill for the miscommunication or to install what I originally asked for and charge me the difference in price. What???? She said "I don't know if you know this but this is much more expensive". WHaaaaat?! That's why I sent photos and got a quote!!!!!! I was all set to go, forgive and forget (Pablo really was great and it still looks and works better than what I had) and even bump them up to 4 stars until I went to pay the invoice. After receiving several emails and calls over the course of two days while I was in a seminar, I texted the owner and assured I would pay after I finished work. I called the office and they said they would have to send me a revised invoice with a 3.5% convenience fee added to use a credit card. I said I would not pay a convenience fee which was going to obliterate the discount I had been given for their error. They went on both insisting that I should pay right away, but also that I should pay a convenience fee to use a card. I honestly just wanted it to end at that point and was trying to use a card since they seemed so desperate for payment. When I suggested that it would take longer to pay with a bank transfer they asked me to please pay now. So I paid the invoice in full with a card but did not pay the convenience fee. Ensue even worse harassment. Both the owner and the accounting manager called emailed and texted me - yes it was a several hour ordeal - complained to me that they were already at a loss on the project (really? Over $150 discount on 10 feet ducting installed for $2800?) and demanded that I pay immediately, threatened to take me to collections, and insulted my intelligence in various other ways. The accounting manager said he was going to reject my credit card payment so that they could take me to collections! Seriously if you are thinking of going with them PM me and I will share the texts with you - it's unreal. I am attaching the picture I sent of what I wanted - ventless style.- the pipe with vents is what I got for $2650.00 - which would have been 2740 with the convenience fee - plus three hours of my life that I will never get back spent trying to sort out miscommunication details and illegal collections policies with their disorganized and uninformed staff. I would like to share my great experience with Pure Eco! I needed some insulation work done in my house after completing my roofing project. My house suffered a water damage and a bad roof leakage. I contacted several companies and after doing some research I decided to move forward with Elay from Pure Eco. He came over to inspect the work needed and sent over his estimate less than 30 minutes after leaving my home. The price he quoted was pretty comparable and reasonable to the other companies that quoted me but I felt more confident with Elay's professionalism and knowledge and I decided to start my insulation project right after my roofing project was done which was a few days after Elay's initial inspection. The crew arrived on time with Martin, their foreman, they were very polite and explanatory, very courteous and clean. They covered everything on their path to my attic access and made sure it remained that way until they were done with their work. Pure Eco removed my old attic blow-in insulation and ducting, cleaned the area and installed new batt insulation, and a new suspended ducting application. As per their estimate, they sealed around the vents and cleaned up. All technicians and customer service people were experienced and polite, and kept to their committed time schedules just as promised. My original bid was done remote from my photos and measurements. They kept to their numbers, but there was another issue. My existing ducting was asbestos, and had been wrapped with insulation by previous homeowners. As a result, we needed an additional cost of $1200.00 to haul the old ducting via haz mat process, as per code. Not happy to learn this, but it was not the fault of Pure Eco, as their bid had been from my photos and measurements. In the end, the ducting is now in service, the mess is gone, and we can recommend the people at Pure Eco with no reservations, they are... ............... Pure Pros! read more

Overdue review. My contractor found this company to sprayfoam a new build ADU at the back of my property. We signed the contract and had them come out. We signed 2 change of order forms in the process because of their own miscalculations. The sqft measurements turns out to be more than we initially signed for (twice!). I obliged and paid them upon completion. We inspected the work after and they missed a few areas. We called and I was asked to call the technician directly. We then found out that Pure Eco subscontracts their work to another company. They are basically a middle man and collecting middle man fees. I should have gone to the original company and saved myself a few thousand bucks! Lesson learned. I do not recommend this company. They dont have their own workers to sprayfoam! read more

We noticed we hve rats in our attic and left a lot of deposits all over. I contacted Pure Echo they went over the details and gave us a very reasonable quote in timely manner. We decided to get the services by Pure Echo and we couldn't be happier with the results. We had them remove the old insulation which was manifested by the rats, clean, disinfect, and patch up all the holes. They were very efficient with getting the job done, the price was absolutely fair compared with other companies, the crew were fast and professional. Benny was my project manager. He was able to come by for an estimate very quickly after I called. He gave me fair pricing and did not push me on any add ons. He was able to give me a discount if I pre-ordered my materials, since he could bundle the materials with another project nearby my home. We installed rolled insulation in the attic. On the day of, the crew lined the floors and walls in my house, creating a clean tunnel. They vacuumed all the old blown insulation out and then installed the rolled roofing efficiently. This company provided an estimate to me on the phone using another contractor's bid and when asked to schedule to come out an look at the job for verification, they did not want to come out to Orange County. So if you live in Orange County, apparently you have to tell this company what the job is, which seems like a role reversal. Pure Eco wanted me to sign a contract based on a competitor's quote and modify later as needed upon job completion. Jasmine, the receptionist, informed me that the estimate provided on the phone may even go up if visited in person because the estimate on the phone was the lowest they could go. When a homeowner is doing an expensive job such as attic insulation, they need to meet with the contractor in person, agree on the job and sign a contract that is not going to be fluid when the job starts. A quote is only as good as the nature of how well you understand the job. read more

I had a mixed experience with Pure Eco. The attic work they did -- clean the attic, blow in cellulose insulation, attic fan installation, radiant barrier, and air-sealing the attic -- appears to have been good work. It certainly is making my house noticeably cooler, even on hot days and even without the AC on. The workers worked quietly and diligently, which was appreciated. I also had some changes in my schedule due to timing with other contractors, and Pure Eco was flexible and worked with me around that. So I'm very appreciative of that. The experience that was not up to par was Pure Eco's work on insulating my walls with cellulose insulation. The work was supposed to blow in cellulose insulation using a technique called "dense packing", which requires an appropriate machine and the right experience and know how. I noticed on the first visit, that the workers were blowing the cellulose into the walls very loosely, without following the necessary technique to densely pack the walls, and without having the right machine to do so. This was contrary to the a-priori discussion I had with the Pure Eco representative on how the wall insulation would be performed. I had to stop the workers and, after a heated exchange with Pure Eco and a somewhat defensive response by the office personnel, I got them to have the workers stuff the walls with cellulose by hand. However, due to the depth of the walls, likely the walls are not properly dense packed, rather only around the holes that were cut in the walls. So I can't recommend Pure Eco for any wall insulation work, at least not properly insulating with cellulose, which is superior to fiberglass. Hopefully, they will make the effort to learn how to dense pack walls. Other companies know how to do it. read more

I was helping my mom look for insulation solutions for our home's attic because of the hot Southern California summers. I went on Yelp and sent out multiple requests for free quotes. When Pure Eco came to give an estimate, they sent Ron and he was clear and friendly. He was honest and only recommended what he believed would fix our hot 2-story house. So he recommended that I install Radiant Barrier and then after installing that, decide if I also wanted attic fans (mushroom kind). I also had another reputable company come in to check my attic and they said something similar about Radiant Barrier. But they charged significantly more. Finally decided to get our house insulated and found Pure Eco here on Yelp. I called and Jasmine the manager got me an appointment for an estimate. Ben the supervisor came out and checked out the house and attic space to determine my approximate square footage. He gave me an estimate that was even cheaper if I was willing to get the job done the next day (they had another job in the area). We agreed and when they inspected the next day it turned out we needed new ducts as well (our unit is older)... I wasn't thinking of spending more to replace them but we wanted a clean slate up there. They worked with us and we came to a great price for the new ducts as well. Total work: R38 Batt insulation, air seal, attic fan with thermostat and replaced/ sealed all HVAC ducts. They finished in a day (9:30a - 3p) and Armando (the lead installer) walked me through everything when the work was complete. They also cleaned up any leftover debris before they left and Ben sent me "Before and After" photos which showed the great work they did. I hired Pure Eco after receiving a few quotes to remove & replace my attic insulation & perform some rat barrier. Overall it was a 3 day process (NOTE, I was told this is a 2 day process). Day 1 & 2 were to remove the old insulation & setup rat barrier. Day 1 crew was supposed to arrive at noon & they came at 2:30ish. Crew lead said he won't be able to complete it & his workers don't want to start a job if they cannot complete it in 1 day. He continues to setup anyone after he's guys complained (in Spanish). By setup I mean, they literally 1/2 a**ed setting up plastic and protected my floors. I literally mean, the most minimal work you can do. They started setting up at 3 & cleaning up at 4:30. Again things were 1/2 a**. I asked when they can remove the rest of my insulation & was told to "call the office". Called them & 2 entire days later a completely different crew come. This guy pulled the same crap & 1/2 a** setup plastic for protecting my walls & floors. Something new this guy proposed, "can we use your master bedroom window & come in & out from there". I didn't object and told him to protect my personal items from dust. We'll as soon as I went downstairs (2 story house) they pulled a fast 1 (to of that the workers didn't speak a lick of English). What pissed me off this time was that the crew lead keep leaving the house, took the car & didn't return for 3-4 hours. When they were completely done, I noticed rat droppings on my floors in the 1 floor (refer to pictures). About 2 weeks later, a completely different crew came. By far, this guy was amazing.
