I've joined them back in 2020 and then dropped out when work got intense (or I got lazy). 2 years later I was itching to get back into the gym, shopped around a few places, and couldn't find the same vibe that EG FieldHouse has. Working with Josh, Rachel and the rest of the team here is just unparalleled ... they make working out a whole lot more fun! I've done their regular membership, personal training ... and about to try their physical therapy program starting next week. This team has my full trust, and my business.

"Join us at the 5am class!" they said.. I responded, "WHAT?! That's the middle of the night!!!" After some contemplation, and no other convenient time, I started coming about 2-4 times per week.... and I LOVE IT! I go to sleep a little bit earlier at night, but start my day off with more energy and better attitude. The coaches, Torsten and Josh, are awesome! Inclusive atmosphere, all different levels of fitness, no pressure to perform harder than you're comfortable with -- but enough pressure to push your boundaries and encourage progress. I lost 18 lbs. in the first 2 months!! From 189lbs.- 171lbs.!! Ultimately significantly lowering my cholesterol. I don't even know who I am anymore!

The workouts consist of three different rounds targeting different movements. You can count on every class having three rounds of boxing, which is great cardio. I have gone to various CrossFit gyms, but have never truly learned the barbell technique to ensure I am targeting the correct muscles and preventing an injury. He does like to make us run, which I yell at him for every time lol They offer four, sometimes five sessions a day which sometimes can be packed and other times small but regardless of the size of the class, the workout is always amazing. The instructors are always ready to motivate us the people at this gym become like extended family and always encouraging one another to go harder and push stronger.One of the things I like most about this place is that their gym members consist of people of all different ages, genders, and ethnicities, and most importantly shapes, and sizes. I never feel out of place or uncomfortable and that's extremely important for me in my age and weight. I love seeing new people joining the gym and transform right before your eyes. Now I must say the owner and his wife are top-tier humans! While I give Coach Darrell a hard time every time I step foot in his doors, it's always all smiles and love. I was hesitant to go at first - would I even be able to complete a single workout? Well, I should have gone a lot sooner! The Kaia coaches are wonderful, as are the Kaia girls! I was welcomed by everyone, and the coaches helped me modify exercises so I could do them successfully. At first, I did have a hard time completing the workouts and was very sore. But everyone kept telling me I was doing great, and encouraged me to continue. Fast forward 6 months, and I'm in the best shape I've been in since I was 20 (and, ahem, it's been a few years since then). I don't look like a mom with 2 young kids, that's for sure! I've dropped several dress sizes and can actually see my stomach muscles. I can keep up with my kids and I feel fantastic. I've met some great friends at the gym, and have even registered to run a half marathon with them. Honestly, if someone had told me a year ago that this is where I'd be today, I wouldn't have believed them. If you're on the fence about whether to sign up, don't be. Hands down, signing up for Kaia has been the best thing I've done for myself in years.

When I went to my first class I was amazed that so many other women were there! Okay I was amazed that ANYONE was there at that time. There were about 20 women, I think, and they all showed up ready for a kick butt workout. Even if it was 5:15! I promise your body will adjust and you'll pop right out of bed, ha ha! I am hoping so, anyway. The second great thing about the program is the people. There is a positive vibe, a feeling of "we're in this together!" and they play great workout music to keep you moving. The routines are killer. I may have overdone it, but hey, I'm okay with that. I just need to keep practicing some of the ones that I struggle with (Lunges, squats, push ups). We mix up these "fun" ones with running, jumping rope, and crazy walking jumps. The best part is we do a lot of it outside, which gives you a surge of fresh, cool air. Another great thing is the instructors. They are encouraging, focused and personally interested in how you are doing. Are you pushing yourself? Are you doing the exercises properly? Are you keeping a good attitude? Are you eating well? I can't wait to get stronger, because I know I will enjoy the classes more. This is the best thing I've done for myself in many, many years. It adds routine, positivity and fitness to my life. I recommend you try it out. They'll let you do a class free, I think, just to see what you think. Parking: free, plenty Ambience: sporty, casual, high impact, vibrant Restroom: 2 This place recently becomes Hyrox Partner!! Prior to start the session, you will be required to sign waiver and check-in! After that, the session will start with warming up for around 10 minutes then rolling into structured sessions. The coach will divide the groups based on how many people attend to ensure balanced use of equipments. The equipments are pretty complete for Hyrox training: Farmers carry, sandbag lunges,row, SkiErg, Sled Push, run. Not available: wall balls, Sled Pull, burpees broad jumps. Running is from the gym to Amazon distribution center, well marked for distance and turning point. 11 members completed recent Crossfit games quarterfinal (end of March 2026). The pack is pretty solid with Elias as main coach. He has been competing and won plenty of Crossfit and Running races. Impressive! I found this place through a Facebook advertising a 16 Week Challenge. I have not been to the gym…read morein over 3 years and finally decided to take some initiative to lose the Covid-19 weight gain. The commitment is a minimum of 3 classes per week with the end goal of a total of 48 classes. The first day of class they take your body measurements, weight, and photos. This is to show the progress after the 16 week Challenge is over. You'll need a set of gloves to get started and costs about $80/month. Each class is between 30-45 minutes long and makes you sweat ALOT. Plenty of classes available to fit your schedule. The workouts are 25 different stations setup to help you workout your entire body each session. I'm now on week 4 and really think the best part about this place is the camaraderie between gym members. Although, I don't know the names of the other members there is always a fist bump ready for you at the end. People encourage each other as we make progress with a common goal to be healthy and not just lose weight. The only negative is that Coach needs to play more BTS on the playlist besides Dynamite and Butter. On a serious note, this place is really welcoming and family oriented. Definitely has a different feel from your average gym. Worth the try and the place to go if you're gym cautious like I was.

All I cared about was lifting more or running faster. Coach Liz is very attentive and excellent at correcting your form in her boot camps or personal training. Her main focus is making sure her clients are doing her workouts in the proper form where you won't damage or hurt yourself leading to bettering yourself in her workouts. Come in for one of her written up workouts and you'll be coming back. Lodi is extremely lucky to have this personalized gym just outside of downtown.
