Update: I came back to have KG fix up my lashes because I am very bad at taking care of them... Before starting the process, I told KG that I was naughty enough to trim my lashes just for some fun reasons. The Beauty Bar is very cute, very esthetically pleasing. My technician Ty is a doll, she was very sweet and comforting. I have been getting my lashes done for a total of about 5 years and never had an issue anywhere. Im on the west coast for work and need a new set and came across this business with, for the most part, great reviews. As soon as the first lash is applied, my lids, both top and bottom start itching, but I ignore it thinking "it was a poke, no big deal". She continues and I can literally feel every lash start to itch one by one, so I start scratching and she stops. We decide maybe these lashes aren't for me and she calls the owner to tell her my eyes are itching and we can't move forward with the service. The owner gets on the phone and immediately starts defending her business and tells me that she's been in business over 10 years and this has never happened. They use sensitive glue and this has never happened. I explain that it's not their fault at all and I just don't know whats happening and why my eyes are itching. She apologizes and hangs up. I ask about my 30$ deposit because I want to tip Ty for her time and she said she had to call the owner again. The owner gets on and tells me the deposit is non refundable and I explain that he site says if you cancel or no show/ you are charged 30$ or lose your deposit, she says "uh huh, ok. The deposit is non-refundable" I write this as I sit in my car- with what was still an itchy eye and realized it's the glue. I still had some glue residue on my eye and once I plucked it all off, eyes instantly stop itching. I say that to say, You can't do my lashes at no fault to anyone, or because of your glue, please give me my deposit back. You cannot account for how peoples skin will react but when it does, do your due diligence to correct the issue. read more

I was one of Baos first clients ever when he first started money years ago during Covid. I received excellent service from him and I love my lashes. Unfortunately I had to move so I had to stop seeing Bao. We are all grown adults. Upon going to my appointments with his sister, she was basically just taking my money and doing my lashes like shit. My lashes would fall out so easily and would look like shit just after two days or so. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would let her know this and she would say I pay close attention to all my clients blah blah blah she gave me this whole spiel, which was just full of shit because she never resolved the problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At one point she allowed for me to come in and she did redo some of my lashes, but just days later not weeks but days my lashes were looking like shit again. By the time I would go for my two week fill practically all of my lashes would be out and that doesn't even make sense. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have text messages where I kept explaining this to her, and she would just say the same thing over again and how she pays attention to all her clients but if that was the truth, then why did the problem never get solved?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to go elsewhere and my new technician who I now adore and have been seeing ever since she fixed Ty's problems even asked me "where did you go before because your lashes are just falling out so easily the glue does not seem good" and that's how I knew that I wasn't just crazy and that she was just trying to make feel crazy and my lashes were turning out like shit bc of her work. She would also finish my appointments in about 45 minutes, not an hour. I would get there almost right on the dot because I'm almost late to everything and no matter what it still wouldn't be an hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think it is clear there was some type of disconnect between Ty/Bao and myself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm not sure if they were upset that I left as a client and then wanted to come back. I really don't know what it is, but that's all I could think of what it is. However, basically my point is that if she doesn't like you, she clearly wants the best for her business so rather than declining you as a client, she's gonna take your money and do your lashes like shit. Please don't let these people gaslight you into thinking it's your lashes not them because it's so weird that ever since I left my lashes look great and I don't even have to go to my new girl for a fill until three weeks and they basically look how when Bao used to do them for me before any issues. If I can give her 0 stars I would! I've been her client for 3years and no respect is given.. I had an appointment on Friday Nov. 18th 2022 (as you can see in the picture) she texted me 15min before my appointment to reschedule my appointment (mind you she always does this to her clients as shown in the pictures below) I called her to speak with her because I felt like I deserve a phone call and not a message if your basically rescheduling me. She didn't answer so I called the shop I spoke with Bao (her brother) and explained what happened he agreed with me and said she was acting so unprofessional, so he did me the favor to call her for me and put me on 3 way..once she answered she went off on Bao for doing that, as I interrupted her to tell her that it wasn't his fault she told me that she had to reschedule me due to her "picking up her sister" so I told her I needed my lashes done that day because I wasn't able to come in on that following day or Monday. So I asked what time she was going to be back to her shop and she said 5:30pm so I told her I'll take that..she proceeded to tell me that she has a client at that time and she didn't want to reschedule her..as I understood I asked what time was best for me to go in, she said 7pm. So I took that time slot - she then called me at 5:30pm and said she can't do my lashes because her sister took her car and she needed to go home with Bao right at 7pm. I told her that she was being very unprofessional and it was unfair that she was canceling me again. So I asked if I can get a discount for Mondays appointment, she proceeded to say "no I actually don't want to do business with you anymore because you give me problems with not paying in cash." As I was very confused on what she was saying because we had spoke about the cash situation 4 months prior and we clearly resolved it I told her I would pay her in cash as long as I got a receipt for my records she declined the receipt and just said that it was okay for me to continue my payment via Venmo but to not mention on Venmo that it was for lashes. Not only that, she has so many other clients paying via Venmo (picture shown below) not only did she do this with me she's done it to many other of her CONSISTENT clients. Anyone that's paying her Venmo Zelle etc. she will cut you off eventually ..if you read the bad reviews THEY'RE ALL FROM HER CONSISTENT CLIENTS that have been with her for years...she's money laundering and I will be reporting her to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Do not come here! Note: As you can see in the first messages on the picture shown below I was super nice to her and even apologized for texting her while she was on vacation the week before. She is worried about her money and does not want to pay her dues (taxes, Venmo reports etc.) ALSO THE PICTURE BELOW SHOWS HOW MUCH SHE IS RUNNING BEHIND OR RESCHEDULES she has no respect for your time. * LOOK AT HER FEEDBACK..she clearly doesn't know how to handle clients and trying to excuse herself by saying she told me earlier? ! I came here to get my lashes yesterday done for the first time and I mean EVER. I have never done any extensions and wanted to do them for the first time ever! I showed the lash tech what I wanted. I asked if that was still classic and didn't mind paying the difference as long as I got what I wanted. He said that the picture were cat eye. Bao did my lashes and my eyes were burning and I felt like he was stabbing me. I told him it was hurt and said that because I was blinking it was hurting but I was blinking cuz it was hurting. I put up with the pain for the whole appointment. They can put nice but not what I asked for and couldn't really see since it was dark in there. Once I got to my car and saw them and realized it wasn't anything like what I had asked for. I messaged the owner through Instagram. She said the picture was wispy volume not cat eye and that I had asked for classic cat eye and that is what I got. I know for a fact I didn't ask for cat eye cuz I didn't know the name. She told me to come in to fix them by adding more volume. If you add volume it's not gonna look like the picture cuz the sides were long but in the picture it was short. She wanted me to pay the difference even though her tech mest up and wouldn't give me a refund. I'm never going back and I don't even trust them to fix it. Worst experience of my life and thanx for the awesome horrible first time experience. Don't come here they ask for more money after they fucked up. I was planning on bringing more people but never again after this. They say they have a no refund policy for any services but it says nothing about your lash tech messing up. 95 bucks down the drain. If she had offered to fix them for free I would of comed back and paid full price the next time but she rather lose clients then to do great customer service. If I paid for "classic for 90" why did he tell me it was 95? Yet she charges more for her services and when someone else does it it's cheaper? That's a red flag just saying. I had classic lashes done about 2 weeks ago by Bao. The appointment was very quick (just under an hour) and I was surprised because it was the fastest lash appointment I have ever had. I guess I now know why. Many of the lashes were glued to my lids and would poke me when I brush or wash them. My right eye especially had many lashes glued to both my eyelid and my lash. So the first week when I closed my eyes to sleep it felt like something was poking me in the eye. I would wake up in the morning to eye gunk sealing my eye shut from the constant poking. Now two weeks later I still feel poking which indicates poor placement or that some are still attached to my eyelid which I understand can affect my natural lash growth. I showed up 15 minutes early per the instructions. I was greeted by a man who advised me I will be seen by Diane? Diane, I was confused I made the appointment with Ty. I had seen her work. I request an appointment to get my lashes done since my lash tech is out if town. I got the full volume & was scheduled Friday with Annie. Went in she had trouble with one eye she called for help some guy came to help her. I didn't think anything of it until the next day they started falling I message them on Sunday send then pic they told me to just clean them & brush them which I did but they still kept falling alot I send a message on Wednesday night telling them they're still falling alot they scheduled me an appointment for Friday & send me the price list for a week mini fill up. I WAS a customer of Ty's for 7 years until yesterday. There was obviously a reason she retained me as a client for so long even after our previous negative encounter (read previous review) because she has done a good job. If you read negative comments other than this know that she loses clients, many of them long standing ones, because of her terrible customer service when there are issues brought to her attention about the service. I'd like to point out that I have been a big supporter of her business and sent many clients to her because of how much I admired her work but I am choosing to no longer to support a person that cannot admit wrong or who thinks that she is doing her customers a favor rather than that they are the ones supporting her in her business. Anyhow, I got my lashes done last Wednesday by her brother who has done my lashes once before and I had no issue. Well as soon as I left, the lashes began to come off and continued to do so for the next few days so I knew something was wrong with either the glue or application because I cared for them as I normally would yet as of today, less than a week later, I have lost more than 75% on one eye and another 40% on the other. Being that I am not new to lashes, I know how to care for my lashes and also when I have not been gentle enough or done something to make them dislodge and that was not the case this time. So I contacted Ty to let her know and come in to get them fixed and we set another appt for what would have been exactly one week after having just gotten them done and paying $60, she informed me there would be a $30 charge to fix my lashes. I expressed that I did not think it was fair being that I didn't do anything and had issues as soon as I walked out of her business. She also informed me that they used a different glue, one that was more for sensitive skin, and that may have been the issue. I told her that I never requested that glue and should have been made aware. She then said she'd been using that same glue on me the last few times which I find very hard to believe nor was there a need for it. She told me that they do not work for free and don't know what I did to make my lashes fall out and proceeded to accuse me of "always" expecting her to fix my lashes for free! I have only had one other issue similar to this and paid the $30 although I felt it was unfair yet this time decided to speak up because I didn't think paying $90 in the span of two weeks when I've now had to arrange childcare and spend two hours getting my lashes done is right! How is that convenient for me or anyone for that matter?! The conversation went much further and I asked for my deposit back because it was never credited previously and instead she pointed out that it was non refundable and further began to speak of my mother cancelling an appt last minute (supposedly & over a year prior) and to tell her that she owed her $30. She kept saying how they don't work for free and work hard for their money... well let me just say that I'm an RN and have worked damn hard for my money over the past year, so although $30 is not a lot, it was hard earned on my end and I will not let someone think that their bad work deserves additional compensation especially since this is one thing I've continued for my own self care throughout COVID. If you have read this far, please just take your business elsewhere to someone that will appreciate it, especially during times like this!
