Hands down my favorite new pizza spot. Far Corner Pizza absolutely nails it. The bread alone is…read morenext level it somehow tastes like it's made with East Coast water (IYKYK) and like a hint of sea salt. I ordered the Margherita and it was incredibly flavorful, not bland at all like some places tend to be. The crust was perfection: crispy on the very thin outside, soft and airy on the inside and tasty, with that subtle sea salt coming through in every bite. It's honestly hard to explain, but the pizza just tastes phenomenal. You can tell real care goes into it. This place is a must-try, and I'll definitely be back.

A Solid Hangout Spot With Personality…read more Far Corner turned out to be exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble into on a night out. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was relaxed and welcoming plenty of space, good lighting, and a layout that actually lets you talk without shouting. The pool table and couches give it that "stay awhile" feel, and it works perfectly for groups. Service was friendly and easygoing, and the food surprised me in the best way. Everything we ordered came out hot, quick, and way better than you'd expect from a casual hangout spot. It's the kind of place where you look around and think, yeah, I could make this a regular stop. If you're looking for a spot to kick off the night with drinks, games, and a chill atmosphere, Far Corner delivers. I'll definitely be back.

His questions guided my indecision towards a Berkshire Old Fashioned that was fantastic despite my fumbling to get there. With the warm up round over and the old fashioned loosening up my creativity, round two was set to be a knockout. I love coffee (specifically strong espresso drinks), so I asked for a strong, coffee infused, punchy cocktail, but with a different base of alcohol from the old fashioned. What came out was the best cocktail I will probably ever have in my life. The bourbon cocktail with coffee liqueur (and a number of other garnishes I will never remember) hit the bullseye. Flavorful, strong, bold, delicious all at the same time. Unfortunately (?), this was a noble experiment so I'll forever be chasing the white whale of what this drink was. But that's the allure.

I would say this was probably our highlight of our trip in San Diego. Garrick, the bartender there, was super accommodating. Not only was he and the other bartender were making damn good drinks, they would legit talk to you. The ambiance of the place is cool too. Felt like I was going inside some continental room like John Wick. Definitely my vibe and definitely coming back. But if you ever get Garrick as your bartender, you're in for a treat!

So good and such a comforting combo. That said, Harland is way more than just a coffee shop. It's also a brewery and a full food spot with solid options from breakfast through dinner. Today I stopped in for lunch and ordered the chicken tenders tossed in hot honey, to go. Wow easily some of the best I've had. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. I also love that you get fries with your meal... I know that sounds crazy but the majority of the restaurants in the area are expensive for what you get. Which most of the time is just the entree alone without any sides. This place lets you pick between a salad or fries. Both solid options and they give you generous portions. What really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly thoughtful and made sure to put the hot honey on the side (and plenty of it!) so the tenders wouldn't get soggy. That extra attention to detail made the meal even better. Not to mention how warm and inviting the location is as well. It is in the heart of South Park, which alone is already such a cute little part of SD. Between the drinks, the food, and the consistently great service, I keep coming back and at this point, I'm definitely a regular. Can't wait for my next visit!

Might I suggest a current or dried cherry w either crispy pork belly or nuts. this is a great spot and the server was really helpful and very nice, shout out to Gulia!!
