It's been three year since I received my gift card for Pure Skin Clinic. I started out with Connie, who was amazing.. and have been seeing Kay since. The improvement of my skin texture is the best it's ever been. I'm 53 years young and have gotten so many compliments from friends and family. A couple friend have asked if I've gotten Botox, which I have not had and they don't believe me. Kay is magical and has gotten ridden of my dark spots and has help me with skin care recommendations. I have been going to Kay since she had her spot in K-town. It's been 10 years since I first came to Pure Skin. I guess it's a blessing that I found her via Yelp. But at the same time, she's sooo good that I have been driving all the way to Brea to keep seeing her. In fact, on my way there today, I realized that my package is almost over so I was mentally preparing to "break up" with Kay. This is tough. She's been with me as I experienced major milestones in my life, etc. But since I moved last year, driving here for a facial takes me 45+ minutes each way. But... As soon as the session started I felt like I melted onto her table. Her hands are so darn good. The session starts with a great accupressure massage. She really beats up your face so gently. Hahaha. I think I fell asleep after she vacuumed my face. I woke up when she applied this super cold face mask. Lo and behold, I ended up buying another package. I have tried out closer places to my home. But no one beats Kay and her competency, massages, fancy machines, great products, and just amazing customized facials. Although I've been going to her for over 10 years, she knows how to keep things updated and customizes each session depending on what's up with my face. It's amusing seeing her joy and excitement when she tells up she's going to use a new machine at that session. My favorite is the scaler/planer thing. Sounds like she's zapping my face but my face feels so smooth afterwards. Setting up appointments is easier now via text. You could call, but I just like texting. read more

Kay is rude, gives bad service and just cares about money. Initially I happened to be at the building to get a facial with another esthetician and Kay told me she will provide more machines and better service so to come to her business. So I tried it and the first couple facials I did included hydrafacial, cooling and rf machines. I purchased packages to continue this facial with three machines. However, her hydrafacial machine broke halfway and she never replaced it. I mentioned to her if she can do oxygen instead and she said yes, but never followed through. Then she claims the oxygen machine is broken. She soon thereafter started omitting the cooing machine as well. I again mentioned this and asked her to provide at least two machines as I paid for that service level. She said she would include both, but again would not follow through. If I mentioned it again she would just get defensive. I paid for a package of facials that was supposed to include three different machines but the last four times all I got was one. The deceptive tactic of promising one thing to take a client from another business initially but not providing it after receiving payment upfront is unethical. Not following through on the level of service I paid for despite my consistent reminders and instead getting worked up and defensive is also utterly unprofessional and outright rude. The facial without the machines is poor. She barely puts any product on to save whatever she can. Even though she is the owner she also demanded I tip every single time, despite the fact she stopped providing the service I paid for. Shameless. read more

I had an absolutely amazing facial with Connie. My biggest issue with my skin are my blackheads and her extractions were so gentle yet effective!! Being a Massage Therapist she know that my time is spent taking care of other people and this was a perfect gift. I don't normally go and get facials but Connie had been great. My first time ever getting a facial and this clinic was wonderful. All the treatments felt hydrating and relaxing. The esthetician explained every step and told me about every treatment she was using. She made sure to check with me about how things felt and my preferences throughout the process. She was kind and considerate too, very personable and it was easy to talk and relax during my session. Afterwards, my skin was glowing, moisturized, and in amazing condition for days. I have very sensitive and reactive combination skin, but none of the treatments caused a flare up or negative reaction afterward. Instead my skin looked and felt great as advertised. I really loved my experience with Connie. She was so friendly and funny that she immediately made me feel comfortable to be myself so we laughed through my whole facial. This skin clinic is definitely a great place to pamper yourself. Kay greeted me at the counter and lead me to the facial room, which had all of the latest equipment for facials. After changing into a gown, I was surprised that the table was heated and comfortable. Kay asked what my concerns were for my skin and developed a treatment plan to address them. She began with a great cleansing of my face, finished off with warm towels. After the cleansing, she explained that next process and the benefits of the products and course of treatment. I was extremely satisfied with her knowledge and explanation! She started off with a lymphatic massage, which felt beyond amazing! I had never had this with a facial and it truly was relaxing. After the massage, we began with the extraction process... though I thought this was going to be painful, she was very gentle and all I felt was a tiny sting here and there. Kay discussed my problem areas and the causes of these flare ups and recommended the next procedure. After the extractions, she applied a mask and used a cooling machine to massage my face. One would think that a process that uses a tool that feels like ice would be uncomfortable, however, it was very refreshing! After the cooling, she applied a tea tree mask to my face. At the beginning of your visit you do fill out a survey and it asks if you have any claustrophobia, if you experience just the slightest bout, I suggest you mark yes. This mask covers your entire face, including your lips and turns into a rubber substance, so as an FYI if you think you can't survive breathing from just your nose, make sure to say something, because you'll be there for about 20 minutes! An arm and shoulder massage follow and youre left for a few with the warm table, calming music and a dim room. Not only did I feel extremely relaxed, the ambience truly allowed me to take a little cat nap! When Kay came back and removed the mask, she then followed up with some final moisturizer and products to help my skin. Not only was this my first experience, it was top notch and I was educated about proper skin care, a good routine and left with recommendations of products, treatment, and a glowing face! I'd recommend her not only because of her great customer service, but because of her knowledge and education about how to tailor a routine specific to you. read more

Came here with a friend (since she had an appointment) with no intentions of getting a facial but they gave me such a good deal that it was too good to pass up! Connie and her mom was the sweetest owners! The facial was great. I didn't even realize I had tiny whiteheads that they had to extract, but overall it wasn't bad at all. The mask was refreshing, the massages were great, the heated table was a plus. They also used a machine on my face for Microdermabrasion and it just felt like a tiny vacuum going across my face. I found out about this jewel since it was close to my school and Connie was super sweet and easy to talk to that I ended up getting a package LOL. All of my sessions take around an hour and have been with her. She's such a joy to be with that I wish the sessions would last longer; being pampered is also a bonus. She also notices the little things like when my face would be breaking out and educates me on what factors play into that aka stress and little sleep so I can maintain my skin. I was recommended by a friend doctor because I had two small skin growths and I wanted to remove them quick and inexpensive... I called pure skin the same day... I schedule an appointment and when I got there I found out they also did facials, Well after trying them I would say they have THE BEST FACIAL Massage and Cleansing....! Any how! make long story short, I had my problem solved had the facial massage and I walked out with a 10 deal package that money can't buy! So from today on I will be pampered like a king! Such an amazing skin care experience! I recently got the chemical peel from here and it did not disappoint. I started to peel the next day and most of my discoloration faded. I first bought a card that lets you try 4 different treatments. I saw an improvement after the first visit. During the second visit I had my first extraction but they did such a great job. I've had three cystic pimples on my nose for 2 to 3 years and have seen up to 4 different dermatologist over that time period all giving me a different diagnosis and not helping me get rid of them. Fortunately for me they were able to extract all of it out and I ended up upgraded to 10 sessions for $600. Ever since I started getting pimples I really would prefer not to take pictures but thanks to Connie and her mom I'm starting to like my face in pictures. I've gone to PSC 5 times now and I simply love it. I was looking for a facialist who knew how to give facial massages and the ladies here most certainly do. For about 1.5 hours, which is the usual duration of one session, I become so relaxed I can usually fall asleep. I mention this because I am always on the go and can never relax, but their facial massages are divine and it helps me center myself. Now about the creams they use on your skin, I believe they use a plethora of top brands; I always come out looking much better than when I first went in. If you're looking for a highly experienced facialist (I've had sessions with Kay & Ginnie), and you really want to take care of your face, then I highly recommend giving PSC a try. P.S. From my personal experience, I use to go to Massage Envy for my facials. New to the area and found this place on yelp. Went in for an acne facial. The lady seemed nice, she started with looking at my skin and then did extractions, moved on to the facial and a massage. Majority of the time she was trying to sell me on packages that were over $600. I get home and my face is worse than what it started it out with. She did extractions and now I have scarred blood under all the extractions she made. I'm glad i didn't buy the package because I won't be returning. Very upset read more
