Back to now, I bought a brand new truck so I had to give this place serious consideration. Emailed a few places but ended up back here. After talking with Ryan and thinking things over I went from planning on getting an amp, new front speakers and sub to installing the door speakers entirely, adding the amp with the option for a future sub install. I'm glad I went this route. The quality of sound I'm getting makes me debate if getting a sub is necessary. The wires are neatly ran and zip tied, I can appreciate this since I do a lot of network cabling and some low voltage work myself. The future subwoofer knob was mounted clean onto a vacant plate. It was not cheap and I have no buyers remorse. Great audio isn't cheap, and cheap audio isn't great.

I then brought it to mobile car audio. They rewired the whole truck stereo system because Best Buy put lighting wires in instead of wires for sound. My other half brought his truck in for a sound system installation, and while we initially only stopped by for a quote after shopping around all day, Chris's expertise sold us. He was incredibly patient, taking the time to explain the pros and cons of our ideas and offering suggestions to make the final result even better. He also kept us updated throughout the entire process, so we were never left in the dark. What really set them apart was the extra mile they went. Even though Chris was only hired for the audio, he noticed several issues with a train horn we had installed at a completely different shop. He discovered the compressor was running continuously and, upon further investigation, found multiple hazardous mistakes from the previous installation. Chris and his team took it upon themselves to fix those errors, potentially saving us from a major headache (or worse). Pulled up manuals, diagrams, walked me through the specs on my EV's system like it was second nature. Sherwin did a lot of the install work and was just as sharp. Careful, communicative, clearly takes pride in the work. At one point he found some moisture under my carpet completely unrelated to what he was working on, and instead of just closing it back up, he flagged it immediately with photos and video so I could get it looked at. When a crack appeared on the foam surround, I brought it back expecting help with a warranty claim. Before even looking at the sub, the owner muhammad, immediately dismissed me, claiming it must have been "hitting something." I explained there was more than enough clearance and invited him to take a look for himself. He walked outside, glanced at it for barely 5 seconds, and said, "Yeah, sorry, nothing we can do. Rockford has a different warranty than brands like Kicker. You could buy a new one though." Guess what? I reached out directly to Rockford Fosgate myself. Within 24 hours, Rockford inspected photos of the sub and fully approved the warranty replacement. Elite Audio couldn't even be bothered to do basic homework for a customer who already spent $1200 in their shop. They aren't interested in helping you after you walk out the door--just in selling you another unit. Take your money to a shop that actually backs what they sell, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
