If you need escape from city life, Purity Spring Resort is your place to go What can be better than a resort surrounded by lake with spacious hotel rooms or condo, fantastic inn/restaurant, free boats(kayaks/canoos), swimming pool, tennis courts, kids play area, private beach, trails for hiking and bicycling and much more. Perfect escape if you have small family or groups for reunion. You will be pleased with their hospitality. And, dont forget to get message on premises. Ask for Gretchen Loeffler (message therapist) and you will thank me. I will definitely visit here again and recommend it to my friends and family.

It's a really quaint, pretty, serene getaway. We stayed 2 days, 1 night over Labor Day weekend. It was definitely the end of their season, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. There are trails on their premises to hike. Not hard, but difficult enough for city boy and this city girl to feel like we're scaling! We did a 1.5 mile hike, with nice rest stops and vista points along the way. Lakeside lodging were recently renovated, so our room was nice and clean. Everything we wanted to do was right there- bball, tennis, badmitton courts, pool, hot tub, lake, canoe, trails... For dinner, you can drive about 20 minutes north to Conway and find a few decent places to eat. Or drive south and find the dairy stop on the side of the road (Rte 16) that has awesome hot dogs, fries, onion rings, and ice cream. less one star- no sauna.

Came here with just one other person, even though it presents itself-- accurately -- as a family resort. We were welcomed warmly by staff who helped us make changes to our schedule without fuss. Rooms were clean spacious and pleasant with air conditioning . . . even though we were planning on "roughing it" a little, I think we were secretly happy with air conditioning, no mosquitoes in the rooms,a and good showers. The lakes are beautiful. There are canoes and kayaks that you can take out already on the shores to paddle around the calm waters. Mornings were great for bird watching and listening to the sounds of nature. We came at the height of summer, but were pleasantly surprised at how not-crowded it all seemed. Fun activities during the course of the day and evening: we joined their s'mores evening fire, which was fun. The weakest part of the stay was the food -- average, I think. The main restaurant seems to be centered around a buffet, so it's clearly meant for larger groups than just a couple. The best part was the ease of enjoying the lovely lakes. No need to check out boats, fill out paperwork, pay extra fees, or to do anything but walk over and enjoy yourself. It was a great getaway with modern comforts.

Planning a wedding in NH from CA was overwhelmingly stressful at times as you can imagine, and no one put us more at ease than Laurie Campbell of Purity Spring Resort. There are not enough words to describe how professional, detail oriented, and kind Laurie is. She went above and beyond at all costs from start to finish. Thanks to Laurie, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and seamless. I can't recommend this venue and Laurie enough for weddings. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about it, 6 months later! Can't wait to visit the resort again soon.

I enjoyed time on Lake Kezar (a lake tour on a pontoon, riding a water bike, and swimming), had some excellent meals including a lobster dinner, worked the NYT crossword every morning, and saw a week of enjoyable concerts and shows. The place is filled with huge, multi-generational families, which gives it such a cool vibe. I was among a handful of first-timers, and I think all of us lefting wanting to go back. I so totally understand why my mom has been hyping this experience up since she first went 15 or 20 years ago.

Evening performances that you can't believe you are watching in the Maine woods; your waiter is also a fantastic musical theater actor, a beach staffer might be a concert level pianist. several Quisis staff have gone one to Broadway, Lincoln Center, etc. And ownership/management is very aware of the unique community they have created. they love the place and it shows. They do everything they can to make sure your family has a great vacation, all while keeping the traditions that make Quisisana so magical.

We were recently here for four nights and overall, a great stay! There's lots to like about this…read moreplace. I'll start with the highlights. First, everything is beautiful (and new). Whoever designed this, I'd like to come redo my apartment. From the entrance, to the rooms, to the spa area everything was gorgeous and you can tell a lot of care and detail went into designing it. Second, the staff members are all amazing. Valet especially but also in the restaurant, at the front desk as well as the spa...a super great team. We had a balcony room and that was gorgeous...I loved all the arts and craft design themes in the woodwork, the view was gorgeous and the room was comfortable overall. The fireplace was beautiful but in July, not much need for it. Would definitely be cozy in the winter. The pool area is very nice and it's a great idea to have two hot tubs. We loved going down at night to enjoy a soak. There's also a firepit by the hot tubs. The beach area is nice and there is equipment you can use (paddleboards, kayaks). Meals were good as well. We enjoyed just about everything we had. The only meal that was just okay was steak frites one night. The steak was very bland, the portion was tiny and it was more expensive than what I pay in Manhattan but I would say the desserts more than made up for it. We had a strawberry rhubarb mousse and a Dubai chocolate cheesecake and both were phenomenal. This is a newish place, I think just under a year old so there may be some opportunity for continued enhancement. They seemed a bit understaffed, especially in the restaurant and that led to some longer wait times and the wait staff having to wear multiple hats to serve, take orders, bus and refill water. I liked the shower but it would be great to have an option other than just the rainfall showerhead. A handheld shower head or an angled showerhead coming out of the wall would be helpful. Definitely there is a need for an outdoor shower or at least a spigot by the pool so people can rinse off the sand from the beach. Everyone who came from the beach just rinsed off feet, toys, etc. in the pool which made it look a bit dirty. A sparkling clean pool is much more inviting and the signs when you come into the pool area even say you need to be rinsed off to use the pool but there's nothing available to help with that. One of the workers said that had been a request from many guests. I'd be interested to understand how this place wants to be positioned. On the website, it seems to be pitched as a serene, relaxing location and it seems targeted towards adults, which was just what I was looking for...a calm, relaxing getaway. But when we were there, it seemed more like it was targeted as a family resort. That's fine but there was absolutely no relaxing by the pool during the day as it was taken over by kids who were having fun and being loud...but that's expected by kids at a pool. All the kids were very well-behaved and their parents were attentive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about kids, but it would be good to be clear what the vibe is. For example, I wouldn't go to Great Wolf Lodge and expect it to be peaceful. It's just important to know what you're getting so expectations are aligned appropriately. My goal was a peaceful, relaxing stay and though I enjoyed being here, it was neither peaceful nor relaxing (except for the 90 minutes I was at the spa). This review got longer than I anticipated. I'll wrap it up by saying this is a gorgeous place to stay, I'm just not sure who the target audience is.

Well, this had not been my first choice to treat my daughter to a spa day for a special birthday…read morebecause prices are, on the surface, ridiculously high. But we found that they're justified to charge it! We didn't book until about a month already of time, for the Saturday of Father's Day weekend. Mani/pedi weren't available due to a wedding party having booked the salon services. So all I booked for us was a regular massage for me and a salt massage for her. Each was well over $200., plus tax and gratuities, but what they offer is amazing. We arrived 90 minutes earlier than our appointment time and were escorted into the locker room and through the premises. We'd brought bathing suits and changed in the well-appointed locker room and locked our belongings in lockers. Took advantage of the hot tub, the beautiful lounges with infused waters and an assortment of high end teas, sat in the sauna...the grounds are exquisite, the parking lot spacious. But the amenities that come with the services (massage, facial) are: robe and slippers, towels, individually wrapped brush, comb, shampoo/conditioner/shower wash/hair elastic, body lotion...not sure if I inadvertently omitted something? We'd have stayed the afternoon except we were hungry. So we showered, dressed, checked out and went to Laconia NH just up the road. It was a morning of pure luxury and our massages were superb, very professional masseuses. A splurge, yes, but at least we feel that they give you your money's worth.

Cranmore delivered just that and more. Lots of greens and blues where I could work on my skills, try trails with escalating difficulty, and still kick back when I just want to enjoy myself and not be a ball of nerves. I also enjoyed the length and variety of their many trails I could traverse. Was happy to have more options than just a quick up and down in a straight line over a full day of skiing. Their main lift was quick and skiers were able to load efficiently. Lots to look at on the way up. The day of my last visit there were several ski competitions going on just next to the lift so it was fun to watch people competing and see spectators make the trek up to watch as well. Ski patrol were out and about and lots of staff available to check in with as needed. The lodge itself had everything I needed... free cubbies to store your stuff, bench seating to change into your boots, adequate table space both up and downstairs to grab a bite to eat, indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces to huddle by, a bar and hot foods, and best of all... a bathroom at the same level as where you can ski up to so no having to navigate stairs in clunky footwear. Drop off area for skis, quick in and out to purchase tickets, simple walk over to a very large parking area. I can't wait to return when the opportunity arises!

The trampoline was entertaining, but kinda one note. The inflatable obstacle courses were both scalding hot in the sun and had puddles from rain the night before, so my kids didn't like those.
