Wow....this might me one of the very few times I start my review with that word. By now you would know I'm a coffee drinker and I appreciate a good cup of what I call fuel especially in the morning. Always looking for new coffee shops but sometimes when you're not looking that's when you find these places. As usual I happened to be close to this establishment, City Centre to be specific and needed my morning fuel and this place had a good rating on Yelp so I said why not. People this is the best cup of pure coffee I've ever had in my life. There is a story behind the roasting process and how the owners of the shop met and started this journey because the young lady told me it but honestly I don't want to make up facts and I was so excited about the coffee I missed a lot of key points of the story but basically the husband was blown away with the roasting process done in the mountains of Venezuela and being an engineer and all, he decided to do the same here, at this place. They take longer than usual when roasting the beans and that makes it less acidic, 70% less and therefore more enjoyable as supposed to the regular Cuban coffee perhaps. I ordered the Greca which is basically like a colada and it comes in the metal coffee maker that most Cubans use in their household, sure you've seen it in coffee shops, with a side of milk and a cup all placed on top of a wood board. Needless to say, the presentation alone is beautiful if you're a true coffee drinker. The Greca could be for two people, I drank it all by myself, or the one for four people, and the coffee really is amazing and way less acidic than any other coffee I've even tasted. The side of milk had that foam we love so much when ordering a Cuban colada so that was like a bonus for me. The decor of the shop is very calming and inviting and it was also all done by the wife and co owner. They seem to have delicious breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches as well like the Avocado toast but I came here for coffee today. Staff is super friendly and attentive, you even get the story before placing your order and they ask you about the coffee as soon as you take a sip of it. This joint has become my favorite coffee place and that's a lot to say since I've never had a "favorite" coffee shop up until this day. read more

We ordered in coffees and a couple hot Croissant Turkey and Swiss and Croissant Ham and Cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches were delicious! They were hot and pressed in the panini press machine. My mocha wasn't really strong at all and was too heavy on the cream. If I come here next time, I'll ask for almond milk. Also one heads up: the Venezuelan chocolate that is under the pastry section is just a piece of chocolate. It isn't actually a pastry! I was getting weary of going to Starbucks for a cafe/work session. Same old boring scenery... every Starbucks looks the same. So I was recommended this place and had to check it out. When I first arrived I was in Love with the color scheme. It was beautiful. The seating wasn't uniformed. Each table looked different but every piece of furniture meshed together like a beautiful tapestry. The cashier and owner are nice and educated on what they have to offer. They carry a variety of daily brewed coffee in really interesting and delicious flavors. I love their pecan nut brewed coffee. Their tuna salad over greens is good for lunch. I like to do work here during the weekday. They have outlets everywhere and free wifi. I also like their really big windows that are great for people watching. Biggest Coffee fraudulent misrepresentation I have seen in a very long time. The quality of the beans for starters is very very very.... low and cheap. I would estimate the equivalent of McDonald's Coffee. They add chemicals to the beans as smell masking additives to try to hide the low quality beans. Anyone with some money can go buy a mid grade bean and put this company out of business by marketing to their clients. Customer base that this company lives off of is clearly are gullible and uneducated in Coffee quality. read more

Decided to order breakfast from puroroast (Uber eats) after a night of heavy drinking, with one goal in mind: recovery. I ordered two croissant sandwiches, the first with turkey bacon Swiss and an egg, the second with cheddar egg and bacon. Both were excellent. The croissants were some of the best, if not the best, croissants that I have tried in the south Florida area. Theyre perfectly flakey, and just the right soft texture inside -- it reminded me of my trip to France some time back. The bacon also blew me away. It's difficult to make a perfect bacon, but they nailed it. Perfectly crispy, yet still full of flavor and not too dry. The sandwiches were both incredible. Oh this place was great. I went in on a Thursday morning in search of a Belgium waffle I've been craving. Luckily I found parking right in front of the cafe. I'm not sure if there is another parking location otherwise it could be difficult if you're not a Brickell local and waking to the location. The decor is warm and calming. The person at the register had such a great vibe and was so welcoming. I ordered a hazelnut drip (it was delicious)Belgium waffle topped with fresh fruits, whipped cream, and syrup, and two scrambled eggs. Lovely vibe in this Brickell coffee shop/cafe. Unfortunately the coffee is not to my taste. Ordered lattes. Was annoyed that I was not informed there was an extra charge for 'alternative milk'. I ordered one latte with oat milk. The server then asked if the other latte should have 'whole' milk. I assumed that is the default milk choice (as it is for a flat white). After paying I see a notice saying 'whole' milk (along with the usual suspects) is considered an 'alternative milk'. Not impressed. Lovely chill vibe in the shop though. read more

After being disappointed with Havana Coffee company having a new management, my morning off weeks ritual, of a walk to the parks followed by coffee was totally in a limbo, as I am a creature of habit and I don't like change in routine. That being said, I was looking for a place to replace it, and I tried starbucks for sometime ( And I still go there once in a while, shhhh) but the business, and commercialness of the locations were not doing it for me. I came across Puroast because of friends that had mentioned it and definitely was happy to find a new spot. I usually get iced coffee after a walk and their bourbon pecan is delicious, and they also have flavors of the week which I just discovered today, and tried chocolate almond which was great too! They have a little card that if you get it punched enough you can have a free coffee! The place has a cool ambience, laid back, painted table tops, with relaxing music, you'll find people in here potentially working on their laptops or reading a book. I really like this place and have to study for subspecialty boards soon and might consider making this my area of refuge when I'd like to study. PS, I loved the fact that the barista recognized me and remember what I ordered just from yesterday. I can go to coffee places daily and order the same thing daily and people make mistakes or don't remember... That gives it an extra star! Also it's priced decently. read more

A great place to chill. The first thing that stands out once you walk into Puroast is the ambiance. The small but cozy coffee shop with delightful decorations offers an environment were you can sit down and enjoy for hours. In addition, the service is another highlight of the experience. The baristas are very amenable and they ensure that every little detail is perfect. Puroast offers both a breakfast and lunch menu, and both have options that are quite tasty for around $10 (the Avocado toast is a great choice for breakfast). My only issue with the whole experience is the coffee.... I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, as I just love going there but the coffee is just not right for me. Not sure if it because of the "low acidity" which is one of their key differentiators, but I have not been able to try a coffee preparation that I enjoy. Overall, if you are looking to a place where you can really sit down and enjoy Puroast is a great alternative just be ware that coffee is not the typical coffee you find at other shops. read more

Puroast Coffee rocks. The price is very fair unlike many other coffee shops in Miami charging crazy amounts for a single cup of coffee or a single shot of espresso. Their cold brew is wonderful--smooth, low acidity, subtly sweet from the mix of beans and by far the best drink on their menu...but they should emphasize slightly better quality control. I was really excited about starting my Friday with the only cold brew I'm willing to go to a coffee shop for and received two cups of barely drinkable cold brew. I found it extremely bitter and unpleasant. It was over-extracted and I could only taste the french roast beans used as part of their blend. Ended up discarding it from how bad it was. I love this place but it's a major oversight to put out cold brew that tasted like that. Should have been sampled by staff and tossed. read more

One of very few small great coffee spots in Brickell. They have a couple outdoor tables, and a large indoor space, great for setting up a laptop and doing work with a delicious coffee. They're known for "less acidic" coffee but it tastes similar to classic coffee you know and love. First time they served a proper espresso; 2nd time they preferred to reimburse than to prepare a proper espresso. Gave them a try the 3rd time and same watered down coffee.
