We had a leaky roof, and after we had that repaired, two young women ("Bree" and "Honor") from PuroClean came by to mitigate the water damage that had occurred as a result of the leaking roof. From the very beginning they were highly professional, efficient, and willing to answer a variety of questions that I had about the process. First they cleared a space in the room which had been filled with furniture, after checking if that would be OK with me, and then they began their work. A bit of ceiling surgery was required to get into the crawl space/attic below the actual roof, and they carried it out beautifully. There was the possibility of a ton of blown insulation covering everything, but they were very careful, used all the right equipment to minimize the amount of insulation dust that was produced, and left the place spotless. January 27th was one of the worst days of our home ownership. A pipe burst and sent gallons of water into our ceiling tunneling some through our dining room light fixture. Eventually the ceiling let go landing on our dining room set. Within an hour of calling, Steve and Oscar were here vacuuming water from the dining and living room. Shoveling pieces of ceiling, glass and insulation into trash cans. Placing dehumidifiers and fans in the room and in the basemen. Although that was the beginning of a week of work with them at our home, they left us in good shape that night. The next day they ordered a dumpster which also arrived within an hour and began the destruction of the ceiling, then the wall and finally the original wooden floor. When all was down to the studs, the dumpster was immediately picked up. Steve and Oscar are wonderful! Each day they explained what the goal was. They answered the many questions we had. We were very fortunate to have them work in our home. I would recommend this company and especially this crew to anyone who gets in a predicament like this. PuroClean was great for us! We had a plumbing/flooding issue that left one of our bedrooms in need of a total overhaul. They acted quickly to mitigate water damage and get us dried out. They also took care of all of the rebuild work. All together, we went from water logged mess to brand new beautiful space in about 3 weeks. All of the staff responds to people well. They understand that the original disaster has you stressed out, they understand that talking to the insurance company can be a pain, and they understand that your life is a bit upside down until things are fixed. At each step they are patient, kind, empathetic, and informative. Communication and scheduling was also stellar. I had received a quote in July and asked them if they could also pull back the insulation from the baffles, they told me they could not, so I did not get the work done. In December they called me and asked me if I still needed the work done, and I said yes, but I really need the insulation pulled back from the baffles, because that was what was restricting the airflow, and them not able to do it in July was the reason I never got the work done. They told me if I could commit to getting the work done within two weeks they would pull the insulation back for me. They also said they would give me a 5% discount. I had the work done, and they never pulled back the insulation, and charged me the full price. I called the next day and asked about the insulation and the discount. They refunded me the 5% and said that they would get back to me on the insulation, as the tech that came out was in the field. I have sense called and left messages to find out why they said they would do it, and did not, and if they were willing to come back or make this right. I have NEVER received a reply. Beware of calls twards the end of the month or year, when they may need the business and make false promises. read more
