Keegan and Eric did a great job. I originally went with Service Master and did not use them because they wanted me to sign a blank contract. I called Keegan and he had his project manager Eric out within hours. Eric did a walk through and then emailed me and my insurance the estimate immediately. The prices were fair and reasonable and it was approved and they came and did 3 floors of water mitigation in one day. They packed everything put up barriers and then cleaned up and removed barriers when they were done. The staff was friendly, well groomed, clean and just plain nice and I would welcome them in my home anytime. I am so happy with the work I am going to have them do the repairs as well. Eric is a thorough, detail oriented, customer focused, flexible and patient person. It has been a huge relief to have him handling this for our family. This company damaged the walls, destroyed the floor by removing the carpet which was glued to the floor, and took the sewer pipes apart. They did not care for the stuff in the house. They stole the door off of the house. read more

Atrocious. They subcontracted to a local repair person who was rarely managing on site. (I.e. not driving a vehicle identified as PuroClean, no one wearing PuroClean shirts) They did not isolate their workspace well and we had SIGNIFICANT drywall dust that they did NOT clean up. They acted surprised about a visible mess and offered to clean it up only after I had started to do so already. Their contract was to paint two full walls and they flat out LIED when I asked if the second wall was painted. After they said 'yes' I pulled a clock off the wall to show them the pre-existing scratches, proving that it was NOT painted. One day, the contracted manager even said "we aren't here to replace, just repair." I was told "3 days, maximum" when they arrived day one to start the job in mid-June; job not done until mid-August. read more

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I have a 550 sq. ft. studio and they took 8 weeks to install a new floor. Not remove - just to install. My toilet overflowed and ruined the flooring. My unit is only again only 550 sq. ft. with 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room. They had to remove all of the flooring so we moved out. When I met Gaby he said that this would only take 3-5 days. They took 56 DAYS! The unit was vacant and they had full access. After 5 weeks of complaining and waiting I spoke to the manager Eric and he said he would take care of this and would call me back that evening. I waited and he NEVER returned my call either. They cost me over $3000 in time and money. read more

I just want to give a thumb-up for Kevin and his team!! Kevin came to my apartment to do the assigned water damage restoration, i.e., replacing the wet carpet padding from a hot water radiator leak. However when he and his team came, using his moisture meter, he said that everything is already dried, he doesn't see any reason to replace the padding. He then helped to spray the microbacterial to sanitize the unit. He also helped to detect the wetness in the wall base and helped to rip all the baseboard so the wall can air-dry.  I appreciate his honesty in dealing with the situation, that helped to save me money, because we have lost quite a lot from fixing the radiator. 2 stars at best ! The water mild mitigation team did a great job on time efficient cleaned up made sure we were very happy with the service and containment clean up. As far as the reconstruction customer service to make all the repairs needed after mitigation was poor. The communication and estimate became days delayed and ignored all our requests for an update and estimate to get repairs completed. We never ever did hear from the the reconstruction team after many requests via telephone and emails. We had to start over making our project and extra 10 days of inconvenience of paper floors and plastic walls. Not worth the trouble read more

When my refrigerator leaked water all over my house (I may be over exaggerating because I panicked), PuroClean was there right away to clean up the water and dry out my house. My house was flooded during Hurricane Harvey and I contacted my local Puroclean franchise who forwarded the request to this franchise who was in town. They came to my house and quoted me a very high price to dry my house out and spray antimicrobial. I was told that the price was fair and would be reimbursed by my flood insurance. My flood adjuster said no way could he justify such a high price and gave me less than half the price, leaving me thousands out of pocket. read more

Do not use Puroclean at all!!!! Instead try someone like Servicemaster or Servpro. Puroclean came out after my basement flooded. I asked daily for an estimate or cost, wasn't provided anything until the work was completed. I then discovered they had overcharged me by charging for equipment that was never used and I was charged a higher rate for after-hour hours when it was their employees who had asked if they could come at a later time. I brought up these concerns with Puroclean and they removed the listing of the equipment, but did not remove the charges and they then adjusted other rates. It has been a nightmare trying to resolve this billing issue. Stay away unless you like being overcharged! read more

Michael Prenant was sent to my home to investigate a potential mold issue. Upon arrival, he loudly declared that he's been doing this for 20 years, and he's absolutely certain he know what the issue is. It was comical to see how merely 15 minutes later he declared defeat, and stated that in all of his 20 years he's never seen anything like this. His work, his statements, and his demeanor showed shocking deficiencies in both knowledge, and methodical approach. Fast forward three weeks, his report was full of false statements and farfetched, inaccurate conclusions. He made several scientific references, which only served to show that he was likely asleep through every science class he ever attended. While he's probably adequate when it comes to spraying chemicals, scrubbing mold, mopping spills, etc, it is clear that the principles of thermodynamic, fluid dynamics, convection, and thermal conduction are far above his intellectual capacity. And when I called him with questions on his report, as soon as I began to mention the factual inaccuracies found in it, he simply decided to hang up. Calling the franchise owner (Keegan Trudgen) was a disaster of a completely different kind. This guy just doesn't know how to listen. He's rude, unprofessional, and dismissive, and is far more interested in defending his employee and his sloppy work, than he is in fact finding, and ensuring the integrity of his business. And when I told him that my experience with his employee and the way he handled it would likely result in a negative review somewhere online, he started berating me, being verbally abusive, and suggesting I must have a pretty pitiful life if I have time for that. Yes, sir, I do have time for that. And I hope many potential customers of yours find the time to read this review, and steer their business in a different direction read more

I can't say enough good things about Puroclean. We were concerned about an area in our crawl space. Mike came and checked things out. He gave us some great news. No mold problem and no action necessary. Mike was professional and very pleasant. He called before arriving and was within the agreed time slot. After he gave me the good news, I got a free education on mold. All good to know. In addition, Mike suggested we might want to get a complete mold assessment down the road before we put our house on the market. Then we can show any home inspectors and potential buyers the house is all good. Fantastic suggestion, and we will follow through at the right time. Wow, I wish I could give these guys more than 5 stars! In April 2013, our never-before- flooded house suffered a catastrophic flood for the *second* time in just over two years. (I am going to punch the next person who says global climate change isn't real). The previous flood (2010) was a nightmare, and I was freaked out about going through it again. Last time, we were plagued by crooks and frauds, and I sure didn't want a repeat performance. My insurance agent suggested I call PuroClean in Bensenville. Lifesaver! Eric came out immediately and took charge. He worked with our flood claims adjuster to make sure we got every bit of insurance we had coming, and his crew and subcontractors did a phenomenal job of cleanup, mold and asbestos remediation (long story :-P), and now we are in the process of remodeling with his subcontractor, and couldn't be happier. This is a direct quote from our experienced flood claims adjuster: "Eric is the best contractor I've ever worked with!" Eric and Keegan, the Managing Director of PuroClean, have been patient, kind, supportive, and just generally wonderful through every step of the process. Their work is first class, their service is prompt, and their knowledge of disaster remediation is excellent. What's not to love? I'd prefer not to know PuroClean as well as I do... but they're good people to know! Our basement sustained sewer backup in June and *again* in August. The first time around, we called tons of disaster recovery places but PuroClean was able to get to us faster than any of the others. PuroClean did such a good job the first time around, that there was no question as to who to call the second time. It was frustrating because the loud fans were in our house longer than I had hoped, but that just goes to show how thorough they are. All of the PuroClean employees that stepped foot in our house were professional, trustworthy, friendly and compassionate. I can't imagine they have the most fun job in the world, but they all have great attitudes and do a good job. I don't wish this type of disaster on my worst enemy (well.....), but if you find yourself in the situation call PuroClean. read more

They were very responsive and cleaned the mold from my home. The only reason for 3 stars is the price went up significantly due to an error on their part in the type and amount of insulation to be removed. This delayed our process and we had to pay another contractor more money to fix what they no longer could at the price quoted. Carrie was really nice and seemed to have our best interest in mind. She came back out and did what was necessary. Keegan was responsive. I'd give more stars if the original estimate was accurate and didn't cause me more money elsewhere. read more

He worked with the insurance company, adjusters and some home warranty issues we had and help tremendously. PuroClean in Elk Grove was very difficult to work with. There were multiple time that I would call and not get a call back within 24 hours. Had to escalate to the owner a few time. Company did a poor job of repairing the basement, even after coming out to "fix" it. Even after all of the struggles they kept demanding money before our payout from the insurance company finalized. We had some last minute issues come up before the close of my Mom's house. I called Keegan late one evening and they were out the very next day to give me an estimate, which was very fair. They were prepared to start the work asap but did so two days later, only because of my scheduling conflicts. All of the employees were extremely polite, professional, friendly, and - most importantly - honest. They were finished with their work in less time than they had originally quoted and their post clean-up was amazing and very thorough.
