Food was very good! Everyone was nice and food came out quickly. Loved the California burrito and the taquitos!

Found this wonderful restaurant by chance, it's within walking distance of several hotels. Food was absolutely some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had. Large portions and quick service in a colorful decor. Lots of choices, all looked delicious. Did I mention they have a liquor license as well? This restaurant will not disappoint.

Always great service and tasty food! Plenary of seating for a solo trip or to sit down with your group..

A bit disappointed with my experience at Purple Burrito. You get what you pay for because this is a value-based restaurant that appears to compete with a nearby Wendy's and Arby's out by the Springfield airport. You're likely to find menu options between $5-10 (I've tried the carne asada plate and an order of tacos with rice and beans). They do not offer complimentary chips/salsa, nor do they offer frijoles charros (my favorite style of beans). The tortillas were bland and remind me of generic, store-bought options. As a general rule, in my opinion- if the meat you serve requires a significant amount of salsa and/or sauce for flavor, then it doesn't get the job done. The same goes for rice and beans. The food simply lacked flavor and quality. If I am looking for sit down experience that has a bit more authenticity, I'll likely look elsewhere.

Stopped to check it out, pleasantly surprised to find rolled tacos as good as back home. Small salsa bar that needed refilling, slightly messy, too quiet vibe. The downer was the hospitality or lack of. Two people working, looking very professional in their black, chef's jackets but barely friendly and sadly, unwelcoming. The interesting thing is that I placed my order and within 5-6 minutes my burritos and tacos were done. A place like this should have a line out the door because there is nothing like this on this side of town. But customer service is everything these days and if can't fake that you're happy to hav ed my business, I'll keep on driving.

Wow! The taquitos are delicious and filled with a lot of meat! And horchata!! My man had the beef burrito.... Probably a half pound of meat!

Great value for the amount of food you receive. I always like to try something different when we dine here.

Just OK. I had the #3 which was a shredded beef burrito & cheese enchilada. The burrito was good, but not so much for the enchilada.

You pull up into a beautiful lot, the building is a work of art in its own right. I'm very particular with my Mexican food, I know what I like and I know what I don't. I judge the salsa, chips and queso. And I can say they were wonderful appetizers. They also sell Coke products which is a huge plus in my corner. The menu is colorful and plentiful. I had an authentic South American style cheese pupusa. The corn tortilla was crispy and delicious. I will make a point of coming back! And you should make a point of going in!

Let me start by saying the food is fine-no complaints here. I'm giving just two stars because…read moreMexican restaurants are scattered every couple blocks in Springfield, but most of the time, the waitresses don't talk to you like your an idiot. So let me clarify for all employees at Cesars and elsewhere who might read this. 1. Everyone knows what a taco is, you don't need to ask, we're not stupid. 2. Everyone expects chips and salsa after they order, you're not doing special favors here. 3. Keep your negative opinions about customers to yourself. You'd be surprised how many speak Spanish and understand what you're saying. 4. Tips are earned for pleasant service. Insult customers and the amount will be reduced accordingly. 5. Appreciate this country and stop insulting it. When you insult a people's home, you insult the people you expect to leave you money for their experience at your restaurant. We're not all vanilla and beneath you. 6. We have the power to spend our money at any of the other restaurants in town, we don't have to come back again.
