Creme brulee and white chocolate bread pudding
    Seyla T.

My parents and I dropped by dinner after a day of kayaking on labor day. The ambiance is great for a casual or nice dinner - cute set up inside. We decided to eat outside and it is such a simple and comforting feel. We ordered the Mediterranean plate, Sicilian pizza, and the cast iron rib eye. Dad enjoyed his rib eye but found it to be on the thinner side - tasted good nonetheless. Mom and I shared the Mediterannean plate and Sicilian pizza. Both are greatly portioned for sharing. The plate is so refreshing and perfectly balanced with the pizza. The pepperonis on this are top tier. A little too much feta for my liking but the banana peppers helped to cut through some of it. The desserts were both delicious!! I liked the bread pudding a bit more. It was the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. I don't have too big of a sweet tooth but I think I could eat the whole thing on my own. Great place to visit if nearby.

Excellent food with a great atmosphere and great entertainment as well. A great place for family fun.

Your menu looks wonderful! Did you used to have Cincinnati chili as a menu item in 2012 or 2014? If not, do you know which restaurant on Main Street had/has that item? I think an owner or chef was from Cincinnati.

We did not have a Cincinnati Chili on our menu, though we may have made one as a special. Perhaps the Saluda Grade Cafe, which was open just down the street, may have had the chili?

Is there a dog friendly dining area?

Yes. Outdoor seating and covered back porch

The atmosphere is cozy, low-lit, and perfect for date night, a celebration, or honestly just when you want a really good meal with phenomenal service. It's not huge, and judging by how packed it was when we arrived, I'd definitely recommend reservations. We had one of the later seating times near closing, but the place was still buzzing. There's even a second room with a gorgeous long bar that gives off upscale neighborhood hangout vibes. Service was flawless from the start. We were seated immediately and had water in our glasses within minutes. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and somehow had us in and out in about 40 minutes without ever making us feel rushed. That's an art form. Drink-wise, my boyfriend was happy to find some local beers after our brewery-hopping adventure earlier in the day. I ordered a cocktail that sounded good and asked if they could make it spicy... maybe throw in some jalapeños or something. They didn't just accommodate, they elevated. They swapped in a spicy-infused spirit, and it paired perfectly with my wood-fired roasted corn pizza topped with cilantro and jalapeño crema. Absolute flavor bomb that paired perfectly! My boyfriend's meatloaf with mushrooms and mashed potatoes was equally impressive. No notes, just clean plates. We started with the ceviche, and it was outstanding. Fresh, bright, and so flavorful that we started dipping our homemade pita into it. Speaking of the pita, that was honestly my only minor miss (and it wasn't even a miss lol). As a carb enthusiast, I wanted a little more salt and flavor, but that's nitpicking in what was otherwise an exceptional meal. Hearth & Herron is the kind of place every small town wishes it had. Thoughtful food, top-notch service, and an atmosphere that punches way above its weight class. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in Hendersonville and recommend you do the same!

From the moment you walk up, there's a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel less like a customer and more like someone they're genuinely happy to have there. The staff absolutely deserves recognition--they're friendly, attentive, professional, and somehow manage to make the experience feel personal without ever being overbearing. What really stood out to me was the overall experience. Great service is one thing, but when you combine it with a comfortable atmosphere, good people, and the feeling that the staff actually cares whether you enjoy yourself, it turns an ordinary night out into something memorable. There are plenty of places where you can spend your money. There are far fewer places that make you leave thinking, "I definitely want to come back." The Pavilion is one of those places. If you're in Brevard or anywhere nearby and haven't been yet, put this place on your list. Whether you're going out with friends, spending time with someone special, or just looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself, The Pavilion is absolutely worth visiting. Upon arrival, we were greeted once again by our waitress that took our order and kept our water and tea filled to the brim. We ordered the soup of the day and shared the Lamburgesa. The soup was served piping hot and broth was delicious. The lamb was so flavorful, but we opted to have the jalapenos on the side. My parents ordered the Broad Burger and were equally pleased.

We completely understood that we were early and would have been more than happy to wait for a seat to open up. Instead, the receptionist seemed visibly annoyed that we had arrived when we did and spoke to us rather dismissively, suggesting that we go to a bar down the street instead. We ultimately took that suggestion and went elsewhere. We ended up having such a pleasant experience at another restaurant that we decided to stay there for dinner and did not return for our reservation. It was disappointing, especially because we've enjoyed the food at Postero in the past. We weren't expecting to be seated early or accommodated immediately, just a welcoming interaction while we waited. Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel as though our business wasn't particularly wanted, so we chose to spend our evening somewhere that made us feel more welcome.
