One needed a nail trim and the other's first wellness exam and one more puppy shot. My 3 month old puppy is very high strung and energetic. He escaped the room a few times and when I went to grab him he was already in Dr Jameson arms in the hallway as we were waiting to see her. It was absolutely adorable. The entire staff loved on my babies, gave them each calming puppy plates filled with treats, and made us feel right at home. Dr Jameson is very thorough and took into consideration my concerns with certain treatments. She takes a lot of time in the room to answer any and all of questions. I never feel rushed or forced to do anything unnecessary and I appreciated all her professional insights for my babies. She really does care deeply for these animals and from what I can see is incredibly humble as a person, which are exactly the qualities I look for in a veterinarian. I can't recommend them enough. The surgery itself appeared to go well, although the cost was very high. When we picked him up, however, we discovered that metal staples had been used to close the surgical incision. We were very concerned about this because our dog could scratch at the area and potentially pull the staples out. Unfortunately, that is exactly what became a problem. The staples eventually came out, and we had to take our dog to an emergency veterinarian and pay additional expenses to have the surgical area treated and corrected. What was supposed to be a procedure to help our dog turned into an extremely stressful and costly experience for both our dog and our family. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this veterinary hospital for surgery. I am extremely unhappy with the quality of the surgical closure and the complications that followed. I will be contacting VCA regarding the charges and requesting reimbursement, including the additional emergency veterinary expenses we incurred as a result. Our pets are family, and when we trust someone with their medical care, we expect that care to be handled properly and with appropriate follow-up. This experience was unacceptable to us.

She is very thorough and great with our dogs. Two of our dogs are under-socialized and a bit shy. They both love Jen and took to her when they would avoid most people. Our oldest dog is a 16 year old Shih-Tzu. Our other two dogs are a large WHPG Mix and a Pit Bull/Shar Pei mix. Jen is great with all sizes and breeds of dogs. One of our dogs suffers from severe lumbar spondylosis and Jen makes sure that she gets her multiple medications during her stay. We get daily pics and updates as to how the dogs are doing each day. So, look no further for a pet-sitter. I'm a retired LEO and I trust Jen with the care of my pets and house.
