I had an accident on August 4, 2025. The police had my car towed to this shop, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Allstate Insurance told me they were not allowed to inspect my car at the shop. After a month, Allstate decided to total my car and tried to tow it out, but Modzelewski's refused to release it. Instead, they charged an outrageous $10,000 just for keeping my car for one month -- $170 per day storage fee plus other "service" fees.That's much higher than all parking lot in the CT,even in the New York.Unbeliveable! Because of this shop, Allstate could not process my claim or compensate me for my car. Now I am being asked to cover this unbelievable bill, even though the accident was 100% the other driver's fault. Nobody warned me about such extreme storage costs.

My car had some significant damage to the back bumper from someone who had backed into it in a parking lot. I had checked out at least 3 other Auto Body Shops and ended up going with Dwayne (who was the recommendation of BMW Ridgefield). I care a lot about my car and keeping it in good shape, so giving it to the right body shop was very important to me. I can safely say that, after my experience, I will be returning to Dwayne if I ever need more body work done. The work was done with regular updates via their incredible online portal, which regularly sent status updates and pictures to me. The updates are extremely detailed, and so at every point I felt like I was fully in the loop with Dwayne. For perspective, the repair took a week, and I was receiving some sort of update about twice a day. Despite having to order more parts and add a supplement a few days into the repair (because of some additional damage found), Dwayne completed the work by the original date he had given me. I would honestly not expect any other body shop to complete this repair in the same time/with the same quality that Dwayne did. The bumper looks good as new, and the paint work is impeccable and blends in perfectly. Dwayne clearly cares a LOT about the cars he works on.
