Stopped in randomly - cute spot and super cozy. The server was good, kind and quick staff. Ordered some fries and a cheese quesadilla since it was a quick stop. The quesadilla was simple but well made and super cheesy! The fries were crispy and warm.

Cozy little diner with the nicest waitress I have ever met. Food was fresh and delicious. Chicken was super moist. My 3 yo even loved the pesto pasta!

The owner had the audacity to charge for this horrible meal he himself cooked. What a joke!

I will never eat in such an unwelcoming place where the owner doesn't care if his customers get what they ordered. Then when you try to address it, he gets irate and tells you to leave because you want it corrected! I will never support a restaurant ran by such a rude and disrespectful person. What a horrible human to behave in such a disrespectful manner when a customer tells him it's not what you asked for. I do not understand how this man is still in business. He cannot cook and is super cheap with his products. Not worth the visit or mistreatment!

Just very mediocre. There's a lot on the menu but what we ordered was just blah. And there's so many good options on this street. The seating isn't very comfortable and the long skinny set up is a little weird. I got mozz sticks and they were def freezer aisle level and the pastrami sandwich we got was ok. We wouldn't come back as mediocre isn't worth it when there's so much food food to try out there! We came for lunch. I'm sure this place likely does a good breakfast so I'd recommend you try that! The service is very friendly!

I accidentally ordered western omelet ( I don't eat ham ) but after saying to server , change it without charging me; that is really great , feel like hospitality environment. Wonderful service and I love I'll try again. Good for breakfast for sure .

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday last week, we wanted to sit outside for lunch. We came across Putnam Restaurant. Their menu seems to have a few Greek options as well as decent sandwiches and other comfort foods. I really love a good Greek salad, so I decided to go with that. I also got their frappe. My friend got their cappuccino and the fried calamari. The Greek salad arrived in a pretty large bowl, filled with a decent amount of feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, grape leaves stuffed with rice, olives and cucumber. I didn't ask for any chicken. This salad is well packed with all of the great nutrients, but it wasn't my favorite Greek salad, maybe something was off, or not enough of the dressing. My frappe, I hate to say it but it was awful. It was super, super strong. Maybe like three espressos in it type of strong. It made me feel jittery on the long drive home. Their cappuccino was really good, creamy and solid. I should have gone with that for my coffee pick. The calamari was a little hard in parts, but not bad. Putnam Restaurant gets three stars for me, since nothing blew me away.

A diner's diner. We sat at the counter and had a lovely chat with the staff. Got some quick breakfast, egg sandy, home fries and some French toast. Surprised at how affordable it was. Recommend sitting up front for the ambience. A very rustic, old, landmark building from what we were told. A lot of regulars' there getting the usual and that seems to be the new life goal.

See Jamie-Lynn Diner+pub baby comment. So true. Indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas. Kid friendly, pet friendly. VERY reasonably priced. Good food and great service. I had the gyro (platter comes with fries) which was super tasty with fresh chopped veggies and savory sauce. My husband had the Reuben platter. Thicker cut corned beef, thin fries, good pickle and a bit of coleslaw. Service was mature, quick, efficient and friendly. Just a real nice place.

You know it's a good diner when they've got graduation portraits on the wall. Ordered the Greek omelet, pancakes, bacon, and Diet Pepsi.

Only dog-friendly outside when the patio is open. Will go back during the warmer months.

I ordered the 1930's Rachel sandwich with pastrami, Swiss, sauerkraut, and thousand island on rye, served with a side of fries. The sandwich was well balanced and satisfying, with the pastrami bringing a good depth of flavor and the bread nicely toasted, though nothing about it pushed beyond what you would expect from a reliable local spot. The fries were crisp and did their job, but again, more supporting act than standout. Where the meal really turned was dessert. The Tangerine and Ube mousses were easily the highlight of the night. Both had a clean, refined presentation and a smooth texture that felt more thoughtful and elevated than the rest of the meal. The tangerine was bright and refreshing, while the ube brought a subtle richness that rounded things out nicely. It was the one moment that felt memorable. The ambiance leans warm and relaxed, making it an easy place to sit and talk without feeling rushed. Service was steady and unobtrusive, fitting the tone of the restaurant well. Overall, La Bistro is a dependable spot that gets the fundamentals right, but it is the dessert that gives you a reason to come back.

Be prepared - the menu is extensive! Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the service. We felt rushed throughout the meal, with attempts to clear plates while our forks were halfway in our mouths. When asked if there was a time limit to dining, we were told it was a push to seat other guests (We spent about 2 hours dining/drinks). Dining out should feel relaxed, not hurried. I hope management addresses this because the food truly deserves better service to match.

Decor was fresh and clean and the tables were not tightly packed so we had some space and a bit of privacy. Our waiter, Maximilian was fabulous. He knew the menu well and guided us through it all. Apps - loved the mix and match/by the piece apps. We tried the brisket bao. Between the tender, flavor bomb brisket, the kimchi and sauces, it was just delicious! Next we had the king crab sushi rolls. They were very good, and no complaints, but was probably the weakest bite of the night. Mains - Well, my wife had the Lobster pasta. Homemade (in house!) spaghetti; tomato base with zest and tons of flavor and a bit of a kick; chunks of lobster. Rave review! I had the burger. Did not dissapoint! Cooked medium rare -- to perfection. The blend was delicious and the sauce and bacon jam all just had a party in my mouth. Top 3 burgers ever. For dessert, we indulged int he warm chocolate "cake". Not a liquid lava, but a smooth as silk chocolate bomb with a (strong) hint of orange and a side of sesame gelato. (if I had to pick on anything at all, the color of the black sesame gelato was a bit odd, but that's it). It all just worked! Delicious to the very last bite. No processed flavor here. Just great flavors in a combination that was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Thank you Maximilian and kudos to the Chef team. We Will be back!!

Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues. Staff felt new even though they've been open for a year or so now. Unless some big changes happen, I have no interest in coming back.

I've dined here several times over the past year plus. I'm struggling with where to land this…read morereview rating-wise because the food and drinks are always really great. Service, however, can be extremely hit or miss. I feel like 4 stars is appropriate because most of the time, it's a hit -- but when it's a miss, you almost feel abandoned at your table... The couple of times this has happened, the server was also very rude. Again, 90% of the time, really great and wonderful service experience, too. Additionally, it can get very loud in the restaurant and I'm relatively soft-spoken, so it can be very difficult for me to communicate with the servers. The experience at the bar has always been so lovely. Both the outdoor patio and indoor seating... Great vibe, great lighting. I've dined here enough, solo and in groups, to have had all of the following: To sip: - Espresso Martini: Very good espresso martinis here! - Manhattan: Classic. Great. - Agave Club: Good, sweet (as expected). - Socialite: Good. They make a good, classic Negroni and the red wine offerings are good. I'm not a huge CA wine person, but their Chianti on the menu from Italy is good. Must be medium-high in sulfite levels though because I do tend to get a little stuffy... but that's ok. :) To eat: - Burrata: Delicious but you really cannot go wrong here. - Charcuterie Board: Great to share. - Rock Shrimp Bao Buns: Ordered once. I continue to do without. They are really good but for me, personally, there's better on the menu. - Oysters: Basic but delicious selection. I just love oysters. - Organic Scottish Salmon: Very good. - Black Pot Mussels - Manieri: Amazing mussels and that white wine to accompany... Perfect. - Hanger Steak: Yum. - Greens and Quinoa Salad: Love it, very sesame-forward. If you do not like sesame, do not order. If you love it, go for it. - Spicy Lobster Fettucini: This is SO. GOOD. Have ordered this several times... Once, I had it two nights in a row dining in and I love it every time. Really good pasta dish and the amount of lobster is generous and the delicate flavor, surprisingly, does not get lost. Always plated beautifully. To end: - Caramel Brioche: REALLY great dessert; decadent. - Ricotta Cheesecake Brûlée: Amazing. The blueberry marmalade is so good.

The trio and their families all live in Greenwich. Collectively, they were all sick of taking their families out to dinner and the bill adding up to hundreds of dollars. They also realized that Greenwich was one of the few towns in Connecticut that didn't have a brewery. The business partners made it their mission to open their own family-friendly brewpub where consumers could get good craft beer as well as quality food that didn't break the bank. When a space previously home to LobsterCraft became available, the partners jumped at the chance to move in. I recently visited Greenwich Brewing Company for the first time. I was heading to a concert nearby, so I thought I would stop in a grab some beers and bites for a pre-show dinner. I noticed right away that GBC has a nautical theme. The logo features an anchor, and the entrance wall features the name of the brewpub spelled out in nautical flags. The place is a little on the smaller side, cozy and inviting; there's seating for about 52 customers. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the menu. Some of the staff informed me that they were celebrating their one-year anniversary and had some menu specials. To drink, I ordered a sampler flight that featured "Day Sailing" (Strawberry Lemonade Sour), "Oktoberfest" (Märzen), "Hop Anchor" (New England IPA), and "Catamaranic" (Hazy Double IPA). My favorite of the flight was the Oktoberfest, and I ordered a full pour afterwards. I also noticed that there were no beer tanks anywhere to be found on the premises. A staff member informed me that all beer is currently brewed off-site. They hope to move to a larger location in the future where brewing can be done in-house. Overall, GBC's beer is ok. It's their food menu, however, where they really shine. I first started off with some delicious "Toasted Pretzel Logs" (w/ Cardinal Red beer cheese sauce & stone ground mustard). Then I finished with the "Hot Honey Chicken" (2 tenders, hot honey drizzle, shredded mustard slaw, pimento cheese, on a roll, served w/ fries). It was phenomenal! My only complaint was that the bun was a little too small; it was no match for those massive tenders. I ended up eating most of it with a knife and fork as it fell apart. That aside, it was a delicious sandwich! If you're looking for an affordable, family-friendly place in Greenwich to grab some good beers and bites, then head to GBC!
