Stopped in randomly - cute spot and super cozy. The server was good, kind and quick staff. Ordered some fries and a cheese quesadilla since it was a quick stop. The quesadilla was simple but well made and super cheesy! The fries were crispy and warm.

Cozy little diner with the nicest waitress I have ever met. Food was fresh and delicious. Chicken was super moist. My 3 yo even loved the pesto pasta!

The owner had the audacity to charge for this horrible meal he himself cooked. What a joke!

I will never eat in such an unwelcoming place where the owner doesn't care if his customers get what they ordered. Then when you try to address it, he gets irate and tells you to leave because you want it corrected! I will never support a restaurant ran by such a rude and disrespectful person. What a horrible human to behave in such a disrespectful manner when a customer tells him it's not what you asked for. I do not understand how this man is still in business. He cannot cook and is super cheap with his products. Not worth the visit or mistreatment!

Just very mediocre. There's a lot on the menu but what we ordered was just blah. And there's so many good options on this street. The seating isn't very comfortable and the long skinny set up is a little weird. I got mozz sticks and they were def freezer aisle level and the pastrami sandwich we got was ok. We wouldn't come back as mediocre isn't worth it when there's so much food food to try out there! We came for lunch. I'm sure this place likely does a good breakfast so I'd recommend you try that! The service is very friendly!

I accidentally ordered western omelet ( I don't eat ham ) but after saying to server , change it without charging me; that is really great , feel like hospitality environment. Wonderful service and I love I'll try again. Good for breakfast for sure .

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday last week, we wanted to sit outside for lunch. We came across Putnam Restaurant. Their menu seems to have a few Greek options as well as decent sandwiches and other comfort foods. I really love a good Greek salad, so I decided to go with that. I also got their frappe. My friend got their cappuccino and the fried calamari. The Greek salad arrived in a pretty large bowl, filled with a decent amount of feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, grape leaves stuffed with rice, olives and cucumber. I didn't ask for any chicken. This salad is well packed with all of the great nutrients, but it wasn't my favorite Greek salad, maybe something was off, or not enough of the dressing. My frappe, I hate to say it but it was awful. It was super, super strong. Maybe like three espressos in it type of strong. It made me feel jittery on the long drive home. Their cappuccino was really good, creamy and solid. I should have gone with that for my coffee pick. The calamari was a little hard in parts, but not bad. Putnam Restaurant gets three stars for me, since nothing blew me away.

A diner's diner. We sat at the counter and had a lovely chat with the staff. Got some quick breakfast, egg sandy, home fries and some French toast. Surprised at how affordable it was. Recommend sitting up front for the ambience. A very rustic, old, landmark building from what we were told. A lot of regulars' there getting the usual and that seems to be the new life goal.

See Jamie-Lynn Diner+pub baby comment. So true. Indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas. Kid friendly, pet friendly. VERY reasonably priced. Good food and great service. I had the gyro (platter comes with fries) which was super tasty with fresh chopped veggies and savory sauce. My husband had the Reuben platter. Thicker cut corned beef, thin fries, good pickle and a bit of coleslaw. Service was mature, quick, efficient and friendly. Just a real nice place.

You know it's a good diner when they've got graduation portraits on the wall. Ordered the Greek omelet, pancakes, bacon, and Diet Pepsi.

When he finally came to take our drink order, my mom let him know we were ready to order food as well, but he told us to wait while he got the drinks first. I was there with two very hungry kids, so the delay was frustrating. After we eventually placed our order, our salad came out and we asked for an extra plate. Again, it took an unusually long time to receive something so simple--even though the restaurant was nearly empty. When I tried to address the situation, the waiter was dismissive, argumentative, and kept interrupting me instead of listening. I then spoke to the manager, hoping for some resolution, but my concerns were completely disregarded. Overall, the service was extremely poor and unprofessional. It was an unpleasant experience from start to finish.

Very greasy and the prosciutto was too crispy. I hate to say this because some may totally disagree, but there was too much prosciutto. Is that possible? The sandwich would be better if it was just a little better balanced cheese to meat ratio. The double patty smash burger was good. Way too much lettuce and the tomato was not good. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. Parking in the lot or on the street is available. I'd give them another try just to see if things are better on a different day/night.

It's a dive-y, unassuming breakfast spot, with a slant towards Latin items (think breakfast tacos, huevos rancheros, etc), although they have all the standard breakfast items. I've practically lived at the Stamford Diner over the years, even spending entire work weeks…read moreworking remotely from here (pro tip: the free Wi-Fi is actually reliable and they have plenty of seating so you don't feel like you're overstaying your welcome). Location-wise, it's incredibly convenient--right off Exit 6 on I-95--and unlike most places around here, they have a massive private parking lot so finding a spot is never an issue. Inside, it's huge, but it still manages to keep that classic diner warmth. They also have a full-service bar with TVs if you just want to grab a drink and catch a game. At this point, I've tried practically every entree on the menu, and honestly, the food and service never miss. There's a reason this place was featured on *Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives*. A few personal standouts after coming here so often: * Breakfast & Soups: You can order breakfast all day, but do not overlook their housemade soups. We almost always grab a quart of the Chicken Noodle or the Chicken Matzoh Ball to go. * Salads: If you want greens, the signature salads are excellent. If you don't want meat, get the Arthur Avenue Salad (the fried eggplant and fresh mozz combo is perfect). If you want chicken, go for the Crispy Chicken Paillard or the Balsamic Chicken with mandarin oranges and crispy noodles. * Mains: If you love red meat, the ribs are so tender they literally fall off the bone. The Mediterranean dishes are also a major highlight--especially the Greek Gyro. And if you're craving seafood, the Seafood Fra Diavolo (shrimp, scallops, mussels, and calamari over linguini) has a fantastic spicy kick. As great as the food is, it's really the people that keep regulars coming back. The staff is incredible. Getting to know Laura and Ari has been the best part of eating here. They treat you like family the second you walk through the door. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite off the highway or looking for a regular neighborhood spot, you can't beat this place. Pro-Tip: When you're ordering take-out from here, do yourself a favor and use the Slice app. I stopped using the major delivery apps because their 20-30% commission fees just bloat the final bill for everyone. Slice is entirely dedicated to supporting local, independent spots instead of massive corporate chains, so the restaurant doesn't get hammered on margins and you aren't paying inflated prices. Plus, it's super easy to customize your order right through the app.

They have a program to text when your table was ready, so we went for a walk in the neighborhood while we waited. A surprisingly short time later, we received the text that our table was ready! The menu(s) had a wonderful selection of food and drinks, along with some specials. They do use a QR code for their menus, but noticed they also had paper menus upon request. Our server was friendly and attentive. The other members of staff would also check in as they passed by. My boyfriend enjoyed the PB & J Latte along with the creole shrimp Benedict. He said it was seasoned well, right level of spice, stated the eggs were poached perfectly, and really enjoyed how moist the cornbread was. I indulged with the "Tipsy Palmer" which is an Arnold Palmer with Bourbon in it. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bourbon taste to it, if any at all, but for a summer brunch drink, it was refreshing. For my entree, I chose the chicken Caesar sliders. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed as the brioche buns seemed a little on the stale/stiff side. The homemade caesar dressing was delicious, but they only coated the lettuce in it which resulted in a bit of a dry slider. I believe the sliders would benefit from a bit of the dressing at least on the bottom of the bun. I asked for (and received) a side of the dressing to bring home to dress up my remaining sliders. Lastly, and I know this is extremely minor, but the silverware was placed incorrectly (knife and fork reversed with the knife edge in the wrong direction). Again, I am WELL AWARE this is minor, but for me, sometimes the minor details are the things that stand out. Overall, a wonderful experience and will try them again at a later date.
