How on earth this place gets more than even one star is a complete mystery. Never have i had a worse meal or experience at any establishment in over 50 years, I swear. Myself and four of my friends went here and we sat on patio where we were promptly and absolutely completely ignored . We waited 30 minutes when they were hardly even busy and had to go inside and ask for every drink, to place a food order, to remind them we'd like to place a food order, to remind them AGAIN that we'd like to place a food order, to tell them we'd like to pay our bill ( three times) and finally to tell them that if we didn't get our bill in the next five minutes, we'd leave. Each time we went inside, we were ignored and had to wait up to ten minutes while being ignored completely. They would not even look at any of us or acknowledge that we were standing there . Seemed more interested in talking with the locals sitting at the bar. It was honestly the strangest experience any of us had ever had at a restaurant. On top of all that.....the food SUCKED!!! The seafood was fried is such a huge amount of batter that was soggy with grease that it was uncooked in the middle. Upon peeling the huge amount of nasty batter from the fish, we found a piece of fish in the middle that was MAYBE an inch wide and 1-1/2 inches long. I wish we had thought to take pictures. All in all, it was an absolutely disgusting meal , rude unfriendly staff that really just acted like you didn't exist and were not even remotely approachable. a waste of over 2-1/2 hours of our lives which really should have been an hour. The word on the street is this little cafe inside the golf course was really good and now after trying it, I must agree! Open throughout the day and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We opted for lunch and I ordered a French dip that was meaty, tasty and filling. Sided with really good fries, a highly recommended experience! Her Chef salad was full of meats, cheese and greens. Enjoyed nice views overlooking the golf course and practice putting green, attentive friendly service and prices on the low side compared to other Seaside establishments. read more

I had the pleasure of Dining in at "The Putter Room", the bar and restaurant with the Seaside Golf Club. While sitting at the bar, I had a wonderful view of the greens, even though it was a rainy day. The Bartender who was helping me was kind, and very helpful. I ordered chicken fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns and toast for breakfast, and had a Shirley temple to drink. Everything was wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly, and the drink was very refreshing and nice. The Patreon's at the bar treated me like I was a friend even though they had never met me before. Overall, the experience was something I enjoyed and I look forward to returning to the Seaside Golf Club! read more

The staff was wonderful and the food fantastic! I have allergies and eating out can be a pain for all involved, however, the staff was so kind and helpful. They hand batter the fish and I was able to get mine with out batter. YUM!!! We both got the halibut fish and chips. We loved the homemade tarter sauce and happy to see they serve Portland Ketchup. The place is very Covid safe and there are many newer dividers... We love coming here as the food is always good and you are away from the big crowds of downtown. The food was delicious, the service was quick, our waitresses were friendly and the view of the golf course was perfect for an afternoon lunch stop. We're riding from Canada to the Mexican border on our bikes ... and this meal was a HIT!!! Delicious! The owner, Patrick, came over to meet us and give us some encouraging words for our MS and type 1 diabetes fund raising. He also gave us some route pointers. Nope nope nope nope nope Sourdough toast was burnt, people were getting up and getting their own coffee refills. No ketchup or jelly in the tables. Hash browns were undercooked as were the over easy eggs. I understand that there are new owners so I may come back and see if they can get it together a little better, maaaaaaybe. Had a great visit to the golf course today..such a perfect place to go on a sunny day...really good burger cooked just right, fresh cut fries and a generous wine pour, although no wine list so you have to ask about selection. Menus were a bit confusing with lunch menu and bar menu having same items at different prices..service was adequate but not overly welcoming. Don't expect anything fancy of the Golf Course Sunday buffet. As a matter of fact, don't even expect anything good. The buffet consisted of super dry oatmeal, very questionable eggs, burnt bacon, dry sausage and biscuits, gravy, grocery store pastries, and waffles that were nothing special. There was also fresh fruit and French Toast which were actually both pretty good. The service however, was really not. Good little place! Go for the quality pub food, not the atmosphere. The burgers, fries, and onion rings were fantastic! A local said we should go back for breakfast and we are glad we did! We had an awesome huge omelette, pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The bacon was high quality and cooked well. The hash browns and sourdough toast were just what I would hope for. The Portland Ketchup was a bonus. The negatives in a few older reviews certainly appeared resolved. Also, they fresh squeezed three oranges for a screwdriver. We will be back! read more

I disliked this place so much I decided to write my first review on yelp ever! Do not go here for the breakfast buffet. It was gross. Luke warm meat. Dry biscuits. Dry oatmeal. French toast was good, that was all. Not happy at about the choice to go here. Mediocre service at best. Waitress tried to charge us way more. When I called her out on it she was basically like 'I just looked up the wrong thing, relax'. Don't you have this buffet every weekend? You don't know the price? In the past 4 days I have had a brunch, lunch and dinners at the restaurant. Every meal was really good. Great service and hot food was delivered in a reasonable time. Monday through Sunday they have a breakfast, lunch and dinner special. Played several rounds of golf. The golf course is in great condition. Groundskeeper is doing a great job. We didn't want to wait for 30+ minutes at the cafe we originally had planned on, and this place was a couple of blocks away. The space is really large with tons of seating and lots of space for social distancing. We were seated in the lounge which was cute and homey with lots of light and views of the golf course. Our waitress was prompt, friendly and attentive. The menu is your typical diner/greasy spoon. We got the Denver omelette and basic scrambled eggs with bacon. Both came with hash browns and a choice of toast. The eggs were fluffy, the hash browns crispy, and the toast buttery. The omelette was stuffed with red and yellow peppers instead of green, ham that had been browned on the edges and a very generous amount of cheese. The bacon was thick cut, extra meaty and crisp. Yes, it was a bit greasy, but it's not meant to be health food. Five stars for hitting all the points I look for: clean, good service, well prepared, quality ingredients. Price was also very fair for a resort town at around $10 per entree. I would definitely come back for lunch, dinner, or happy hour (M-F 4-6). read more

This restaurant (along with the golf course) has new owners. We came for breakfast. Our waitress was nice. In the bar we saw a bartender who has given us great service. The kitchen wasn't able to keep up with the customers. It took an hour to get our meal. The place was crowded. The country fried steak was not good though accompanying food was good enough. My wife liked the pancakes but not the omelette. I think we should return after giving the staff more time to learn. I want to try lunch, too.
