It's surprisingly hard to find hotels that are this pet-friendly, so that was a huge plus! The building itself is beautiful, but the real highlight is booking a room facing the river. Waking up to views of the Astoria Bridge from your private patio with a cup of coffee was luxurious! We could even hear the sea lions in the distance, which made the whole experience feel peaceful and so unique. The outdoor saunas were an amazing touch and the heated floors throughout the room, made our stay extra cozy, especially if you're visiting during Oregon's colder months! They've got you covered. Within walking distance to so many restaurants and downtown Astoria, if you're planning a trip here, I can't recommend the Bowline Hotel enough. It's relaxing, romantic, pet-friendly, and the perfect place to unwind.

The folks that both work here and eat and drink here are so inviting and kind, and you can tell there's a huge sense of community here. The food... genuinely some of the best pizza i've ever had! My friend and I shared the Pesto Pizza, as well as the chicken and waffles and they were both amazing. We only stopped by on a road trip, but Xanadu might have my heart, and I already can't wait to be able to come back again ! :)

Beyond the rolling fog of the Pacific and tucked within the historic charm of Astoria, lies a sanctuary of pure and unadulterated (maybe a little bit of adulterated) perfection. It is called Xanadu, and it is quite possibly the most beautiful display of queer community I have seen in years. I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own. Imagine a world where the staff and the patrons exist in a state of authentic joy. There is no drama in sight. There are no pretenses. It is a place where people gather for the simple pleasure of a shared laugh and genuine connection. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but it is the people who truly make it shine. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like they belong to something meaningful. And then, there is the pizza. It is genuinely quick, thicc and fantastic! It provides the perfect fuel for an evening of celebration. In a world that often feels fractured, Xanadu offers a beautiful symphony of community and warmth. It has earned a permanent place in my heart and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone seeking a slice of heaven on the coast. If you find yourself in Astoria, do not pass this door by. You might just find the secret to happiness hidden right inside. Special shoutout to Josh and Brandon!!!

We were seated at a window table, which was great. We ordered a couple drinks and a couple appetizers. The crab dip and calamari were amazing. Probably the best crab dip I've ever had. For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. This is a must go to restaurant if you want upscale in Astoria, Oregon. It is well worth the price. And you cannot beat the atmosphere and service. It is exceptional.

We were surprised that we couldn't find more seafood restaurants for being on the coast.

I loved being able to sit down relax and eat some pizza or pretzel bites before I head over to the pinball machines and try to beat my previous high score. The food isn't your fancy restaurant food, it's your typical appetizers and they are super easy to eat. My favorite is the pizza and the pretzel bites with the cheese Their ciders are also to die for. I'm so glad I was able to try through the drinks before I was able to buy the full pint. It made it easier in deciding what you actually would want. Would 100% keep coming back with my friends for some good drinks, and some good pinball. It's epic down there

They have a ton of video games, especially pinball machines, which I love. I was excited to play them, but when I asked the bartender about it, she just explained how to scan a QR code and build an account in order to play them. it's really easy she said. Well, I scanned the code. built an account, created a password..etc. It was time-consuming. After I was done with all of that, I couldn't get the app to work on any of the games and I'm pretty good with technology. I couldn't find the bartender anywhere to ask her for assistance. So we had a beer, but I never got to play any games which I wanted to. Update. The owner response was very quick and I appreciate that in all businesses. They obviously take their business seriously so I added a star for that. I appreciate it. Thank you.
