Came in on my husband's birthday with the audacity to want to redeem arcade tickets like some kind of animal. We had spent a solid 47 minutes throwing footballs at a screen and shooting digital basketballs, accumulating what I can only describe as a small fortune in tickets (roughly enough for a plastic spider ring and a Tootsie Roll). When we approached the prize counter, we were met with the energy of someone who had just been asked to solve advanced calculus. Apparently, redeeming tickets requires a staff member, and staff members were in short supply, much like the joy in the room at that moment. He is now a sad birthday boy with unredeemed tickets and a hole in his heart where a finger trap should be. The arcade machines slap, the blue LED displays are immaculate, and the "Play Like a Pro" machine genuinely made my husband feel like an athlete for 4 minutes. But if you plan to collect your winnings? Bring a packed lunch. And patience. And maybe your own staff. Would give the games themselves 5 stars. Putters & Gutters? More like waste of money for the amount of time and money I wasted. It was my dad's birthday and we decided to Take him to the oh all mighty Putters & Gutters for a good time. At first, it was fine. We started to the front desk when we were told that everything we wanted to do would be through the front desk. We then made a $20 purchase to play some overpriced arcade games. Was it fun? Yes I'll admit to it but the amount of despair and torture that came from even attempting to talk to the front desk was petrifying. When we finally got the staff to redeem our tickets we could barely afford a paddleball game. Well that was fun FOR ALL OF 30 SECONDS UNTILL THE PADDLE BROKE. Putters & Gutters... Staff - 4 Stars Venue - 3 Stars Food - ?? We live about 20 miles from this venue in Marble Falls and had never heard of it until recently. We saw that there was a concert there, and we wanted to go see it. Purchased tickets online and that went fine. When we arrived, parking was a bit of a problem, as in there wasn't any left, and we got there an hour early! Concert went off fine, and we could purchase beer and wine on premises for a somewhat reasonable price. Getting into the concert venue was a bit confusing, and it could have used some additional signage. Not to mention, they need to educate the staff a little more. They guy in the "arcade" portion of the venue sent us through the wrong doors. Got stopped and had to go all the way around. Other than that, it was all good. Very happening place. Busy with a lot l of activities. Roller rink, bowling, put put golf, go carts, and arcade. Very laid back atmosphere and kid friendly, but also good for adults night out with a bar area. There is an outdoor ax throwing area, however it was closed. My daughter loves to come roller skating here. The rink is decently sized and, although sometimes the music they play isn't what I would consider suitable for younger audiences, we have a good time. The Arcade is a disappointment. Most of the higher-end games are usually out of order. We usually play skeeball and maybe one of the racing games and then we're done. Bowling is great. The bumpers go up and down automatically so you can easily play with those of different skill levels. There are also ramps that really little kids can use to bowl if they don't have the strength to roll the ball. The mini golf course is extremely basic. It's 18 holes of what are more or less the same thing over and over. My kids lose interest after about 6 holes and want to do something else. They have go karts but in the multiple times we have come here it has ever been open. I'm not sure if they have very limited hours of operation, if they don't have enough staff to operate them, or if they're just frequently broken down like the arcade. They have a restaurant here with a variety of reasonably priced meals and a full bar. The food is fine, mostly fried stuff and burgers. You wouldn't come here just to eat but if you need a snack or a drink while your kids are playing it gets the job done. We also had my daughter's birthday party here once. It cost a little under $200 for a 2-hour block of skating that included about 8 kids, two pizzas, two pitchers of drinks, and some very basic decorations. I can't recommend this service at all. The young lady who was our "party coordinator" wasn't helpful, and the 2-hour block is deceptive because they expect you to be out 15-20 minutes early so they can set up for the next party. The staff didn't make this clear so when we started cleaning up 15 minutes early they were very irritated that we weren't already out and started tearing down the decorations we had brought ourselves. When I went to pay the bill with 5 minutes left in our 2 hour block the only thing I was told was "Good, finally." It would have cost about the same to just pay for all the kids to have pizza and skates and we wouldn't have had to deal with Putters & Gutters' poor scheduling procedures of having the next party start right when the previous one ends with no time in between. If you didn't make it through all of that and you want the short version, here it is: skating is fine, bowling is fun, skip everything else. read more

The entrance is difficult to spot coming off of the busy highway at night. A little confusing to figure out how to buy a round of putt-putt. You purchase at the bowling counter and then show your receipt to the prize counter on the other side of the building to get your club and ball. It felt slightly expensive - $8.95 for adults and $5.95 for children. The putt-putt course is clean but desperately needs to be vacuumed as there are small stones all over the course which will affect play. Only two other people were playing on the course, so I had all the time in the world to play 18 holes and didn't feel rushed. It was fun. They also had an arcade, bowling, race cars, skating, and a kitchen. read more

Clean your course up. Awful landscaping, that has been neglected for a while. Rocks all over the greens. Family with children who allowed them to jump right on the green others were on, and played the hole. No one enforces any rules or decorum. We go to Marble Falls a lot, but we will just go to the resort put-put and pay more. read more

From my 13 year old son: There is so much to do, it's all so fun, my family was here for 6 hours straight and never got bored. The staff is really nice and friendly, and the food is also great. It has a really nice outdoor setting, and I would recommend coming here for a few hours if you are in the area. read more

very disappointed in the miniature golf course, is not maintained, the carpet is torn bad, and the debris from the mulch all around is on the area to putt. Prices went up, the quality went down. It was place, so glad the brought it to Lampasas, but they did not keep up the up keep. defeats the purpose. read more

Putters and Gutter is a wonderful local skating and bowling alley that I recently visited. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to all patrons! They have great music playing throughout the facility to fit any mood. The food selection at Putters & Gutter was top notch as well with both classic favorites like pizza and wings as well as more interesting items like bubble tea or bao burgers. There are plenty of options for drinks too including house crafted cocktails, craft beers on tap, milkshakes made from scratch, wine flights...you name it they probably had it! Overall the atmosphere at Putters & Gutter was super laid back which was really nice considering my usually schedule can be quite hectic. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good old fashioned fun - you won't regret visiting them! 5 stars without a doubt! read more

Arcade games cost $1 each but half are out of order. Young employees seem to be miserable which I understand for the ones outside in 100 degrees but inside employees don't ask them for help. This review is on the Food. I went to the putters and gutters in Lampasas and the food was good. I expected the same food and service in Marble Falls. I should have known when we were the only people in the restarunt. The steak was under cooked I sent it back and it was over cooked. The baked potato was hard. The service was adaqute but you could tell she would have preferred to be some place else. If you want some better food with better service I suggest you drive to their Lampasas. location. Hey owners you have a great place that the community needs and wants. Why not get your manager from the Lampasas store to go to the Marble Falls store. I am sure they do not want to go because they would have to retrain each and every person. But in the long run you would have a much better place. As it is I am not the only one I heard saying that the restarunt part of your current location is currently not worth visitiing. Please be aware that if you have Celiac Disease P & G will not allow you to bring your own food to eat. There were 11 of us ordering at the restaurant and according to the manager, the health department told them they cannot allow people to bring outside food into their establishment. This seems odd, especially for people with severe food issues like Celiac who provide their own meals. My daughter travels literally everywhere with her own food and the manager was not going to let her eat with all of us. I've never had this kind of experience before. read more

I give the skating employees a 5 as they were attentive and did not seem as I was waisting their time. My son and his gf went inside to see about getting some fries and they were rudely asked where they were coming from and told to go back to the rink after all they asked is if they had fries which they were prepared to order and pay for but were turned away with no explanation. Now I'm not oblivious hat children can be a nuisance so I just chalked it up to they were unaccompanied and so we decided we were done skating and we would grab a snack and some drinks. We headed inside myself, my 15yr old daughter, her boyfriend, my 13yr old son and his girlfriend went into the restaurant and sat down. After a few seconds no one came to the table so I thought maybe I had to order at the window since it wasn't quite their restaurant hour. I stood there as a young lady employee talked to one of the other employees behind the counter. An African American young man came up from the back and motioned me to his side of the counter I asked if we were to order there or the table and he was very polite and said I can order from the table and asked if no one had come to us yet and I said no but I wasn't sure how it worked so he told me he would let them know so I went back and sat down with my children. 4-5 employees stood on plan view in the kitchen area very obviously looking at our table as if we were scum of the earth like we were just waisting their time by being there. I decided to make their lives easier and take my business elsewhere so grabbed my bad told my kids let's go and then the little girl comes over with menus and I politely told her I'm good we're going to go elsewhere have a nice day. Really unprofessional and sad since it's one of the only entertainment places in town to have to be treated like this just to take my kids out for a nice time. I love the Lampasas location and it's just sad that marble falls is putting such a bad name on them it's embarrassing as a resident here. Hopefully you guys can find some good help in the future. The good. The food came out fast (exceptions below). Went downhill from there. An idiot adult kept ramming myself and my four year old on the go kart track. Employees did nothing. Waited 2 hours for a lane. When we finally got it the lane wouldn't reset properly. For a timed lane, this is obviously a problem. Asked for water when food was ordered. Never came. No utensils given. While bowling, the staff cleared a cold and half finished beer off the table I was at. Asked no one. I complained to a waitress on the lane. She offered to bring me another. I said, ok, but only bring 1/2 cup. Never came back! I spent well over $100 and tipped generously, before I realized my folly. Lesson learned. God help them if more competition comes to town. read more

Okay entertainment space, should not have tried to have leagues for bowling. Lacks adequate concourse space, people are constantly crowding and unable to have personal space while bowling in the overcrowded leagues. No spare ball spot, you have to have your own disks or risk having them sit on the ground. Non working or lack of intercom system connecting lanes to the front desk, so any issues have to be walked to the desk. The lanes themselves are missing the back hashmarks, and the new machinery they've put in doesn't allow the pins to fully reset causing your ball to get stuck and risk damage from spinning in the back. During league they were either unable or unwilling to switch off the distracting music video screens, which overall led to a feeling that the staffing is overall wholly inadequate and not knowing of how a proper league is supposed to run. They have no enforcement of rules or etiquette, which allows parents with small children to walk through the bowlers putting themselves at risk. If you don't care about what money you spend and are just seeking an okay time away from the heat, it's okay. If you have any hopes of a serious or professional bowling setting your best bet is to continue going into Austin. read more
