This was the strangest experience and a massive waste of money. My boyfriend and I went for a date night, and had no choice but to laugh about the chaos that ensued. None of the staff seemed to have a clue what was going on, and couldn't answer any of our questions. It seemed to be everyone's very first day. We witnessed employees literally meeting each other for the first time as we were trying to check in. This place really took the word mini and ran with it. This course was the smallest and most pointless mini golf course I've ever seen, and we completed a round in less than 20 minutes (which wasn't nearly enough time to finish our $20 drinks). My boyfriend repeatedly asked who in their right mind could have designed this nonsensical course. This place is overpriced and massively underwhelming. It's a great spot for a corporate happy hour, if you want to get drunk on your company's dime and have a brief distraction from talking to coworkers. For anyone else, I'd say pass. I've been a patron at this establishment a couple of times prior to this past Saturday, and I've enjoyed their food and bar selections. The pizza and mini burgers are a go-to. Puttery has this laid-back kind of speakeasy vibe about it with the somewhat dim lighting and woodwork everywhere, a pretty well recommended date spot. But on Saturday I was very disappointed. I came there with friends to share my little cubby hole of entertainment with them and MY GOD the place was over running with people. They allowed private groups to come in and rent out the 2nd and 3rd floor and still took reservations from the public, and with the way the private parties were roped off and just about 85 percent of the place being restricted they should've just shut the place down and allowed the private groups to have the place to themselves. There was only one bar and a very very small seating area for regular customers while the private parties had all the other seats roped off that they never used. You guys running this place are real class acts. Way to show us how greedy you really are without saying how greedy you really are. read more

Puttery... well my girlfriend and I love a good mini golf course as it reminds us of our first date. At first the experience was delightful. Everyone was nice, bartender was honest about drinks and what he preferred. We ordered two drinks and they were good with a reasonable price for the location. The course is short and it feels over crowded. My issue was how we took score. It was a on a touch screen that barely worked. Plus a touch screen with covid? Probably not the best idea with no hand sanitizer stations. read more

We hosted a corporate event one night and attended as a couple another night the last week. Renesha was hospitable and helpful both times with getting us started both on the 2nd and 3rd floor. She went out of her way to accommodate us as a larger group, as well as when it was just 2 people. That level of service is rare and appreciated. As a result, we had a great night. read more

It was very slow today when we went. We did the ski lodge course first but we're planning on doing the other one next. My $15 mimosa was a bit overpriced but oh well. The atmosphere is very cool. Whoever built it out did a great job just not on the actual courses. The server came by to see if we needed any other drinks but we only played for abt 15 min ...it was so short! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because for $45 for 2 players to play for 15 min. It was a rip off. They should make them all a little harder and make them both 18 holes. Maybe it's time to hire people that actually know how to speak to other people. We came in on 03/06 at about 7:20 pm. The man working the check in booth asks if we have a reservation, I say no. He says they are only accepting reservations, no walk ins. He does not explain why. We say okay and walk out. I check online to see when their next reservation time is, online it says 7:30 pm, so I reserve it for two people and pay $44. I walk back in at 7:26 pm and tell him we made a reservation and now it's time for the man to get an attitude and say "Let me guess. I said we aren't accepting walk ins so you go outside and make a reservation." He then goes on to explain that they aren't taking anyone else tonight because they are very full and have two full parties coming in for the night (which he didn't explain before). I ask why online doesn't reflect this and that I paid for a reservation and that I just want my money back at this point and he tells me that I am clearly agitated and that he needed to address the group of four that came in behind us. They ask about walk ins and he actually explains to them that they are full and have two buy outs and that they aren't accepting walk ins... right in front of the two people that he did not explain that to. He then tells me that he can ask for a manager that will go over refunds with me. As of this review, since it is the same night, I have not received my refund. Do not go to this place. Especially as people like us, who are from out of town, and have limited time. And should you DARE to ask for your money back you will be told that you are clearly agitated and need to wait. What a pathetic excuse for an establishment, especially in reflection of the people you employ. Hire better people, and maybe work on establishing communication between your business and the online interface that handles reservations. Out of the week we spent in Chicago this is the one place that we will warn all others to never visit. read more

A group of us showed up on Saturday 10/26 for a Halloween event (haunted golf, dj, costume contest) that we bought tickets for online. As we entered at our check in time we were told we could stay only for 45 minutes because now they had a private event and would have to leave. What?!! How do you sell tickets to an event and then give the place over to a private event and then not even contact people who bought tickets. It's when most places have their Halloween parties and you can't just show up somewhere so they ruined our night. We had several parties we were considering before choosing puttery. A huge mistake. Some of our group drove 2 hours to get there and now had no where to go. The manager kept saying it was a glitch in their system and basically laughed us off. Didn't even offer a refund we had to ask for it. Still waiting for it. Can't believe a business is being run this way. Would give zero stars if the system would let me read more

Came into Puttery for the first time on a Wednesday night. To start, the hosts at the front door were very pleasant and helpful :). The bartender Jaron was also attentive, provided pleasant service, and was knowledgeable enough to give some insight on how Puttery worked. The decor and ambiance was fitting of a Fulton market/west loop bar, cozy, eccentric, but most importantly Clean. Like any other putt course you will do a bit of waiting between holes but the music, drinks, and themed sections should be enough to keep you entertained if you brought the right company. Came here tonight for a friends birthday and overall the experience was not great. We had a tee time set for 8pm, but decided to come earlier for drinks and food. The service at first was alright and we ordered some apps and a round of cocktails. As the night went on the service got very slow, took forever to get drinks and almost a whole hour and a half just to get an order of pizzas in. On top of that my friends ordered a non alcoholic Shirley Temple (which is a classic drink) and the waiter said he didn't know what that was and never heard of it. It's legit sprite with grenadine and a cherry. What kind of establishment let alone an establishment in West Loop doesn't know what that is? Kind of embarrassing. The waiter on accident spilt one of our drinks when he brought it, which is totally fine accidents happen, but he didn't even bring another one back until we mentioned it and it took a solid 25-30 minutes just to get her the drink. The waiter also forgot some of our waters, never brought any even after he acknowledged it, and we asked twice for plates and finally got them. People were eating pizza as is with no plates cause it took so long. For a bill worth$ 770 this is not the service I expect especially in the heart of West Loop, which is a very popular area. During our meal, since it was taking forever, I went up to the two men at the counter to see if we can push our tee time back, which he did, and then told me we'd get a text message at 8:25. No problem, all good, went back to my seat. After we paid the check and one of my friends went to go check us in for the tee time and the man asked her if she had a paper receipt and she looked to me and I responded saying I never got a paper receipt was just told about a text message at 8:25. The man proceed to yell at me and explain about the text message, but that I should have got a paper receipt and kept going on. First of all, do not yell at your customers when nothing wrong was said. Second of all, you didn't give me a paper receipt when I went up to push our tee time, so how the fuck am I supposed to know I needed that? The only good part about this place was the actual mini golf portion, which was cute, it's fun, but you can go to Haunted Trails for $8.00 pp with an 18 hole mini golf course (instead of $21 for 9 holes) and 10000x better service. The cherry on top was leaving the place and our friends saying thank you to the woman at the door and she ignored every person. Please don't work in customer service if you're gonna be an asshole to the people who walk in and out of the establishment. Save your money. There's better things to do in West Loop. read more
