Monday Funday at Punch Bowl was the perfect way to kick off my birthday celebration! It was my first time visiting, and Dee " Bartender " made the experience one to remember. From the moment I sat down, his hospitality was exceptional. He was welcoming, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing great service. If you're an Old Fashioned fan, you have to order one from Dee it was absolutely outstanding! Hands down one of the best I've had. To top it all off, Dee surprised me with a complimentary birthday cheesecake and even sang "Happy Birthday" to me. The Punch Bowl Social location is nice. This was my first time here and I loved the set up! I'm a lover of laundromats, skating rinks and nostalgia. This location gives 80s-90s laundromat and arcade. I wish there were some waiters in skates . The menu was fairly expansive but didn't seem appetizing. I tried the sweet and spicy cauliflower and loved them! I'm not a spicy food eater, but these were sooooo good!!! I ordered the chicken and waffles and was a little disappointed. My chicken was old and served warm. Who in the world eats warm chicken?!?! I requested for the chicken to be remade, but by that time the waffle was cold. I didn't have the patience to return anything else, as my waiter should have immediately requested to remake my whole meal....oh well. We celebrated my bestfriend's birthday here as part of a booked party package. Unfortunately, during our visit, a commercial was being filmed right next to our section without any prior notice. There was no communication or courtesy heads-up, and at times the production crew even used our bowling lane for filming without acknowledging guests or offering a quick "excuse me," which was disappointing during a planned celebration. I did bring this to management's attention on behalf of the birthday party, and they were responsive in trying to make things right. They offered our group complimentary drinks and game cards, which helped us continue and enjoy the celebration for my friend. Overall, it was an unexpected and somewhat disruptive situation, especially considering it was a busy Saturday. Our team recently hosted our holiday party at Punch Bowl Social. This place is the perfect blend of a social restaurant and entertainment venue. For food we had a taco buffet with a variety of toppings including fajita vegetables, shredded beef and chopped chicken. The alcohol and non-alcohol drink options were great. We also had a variety of mini desserts to choose from. The space reserved for our party was spacious with many seating options and things to do. There were 2 karaoke rooms as well as a pool table for us to use. There were also arcade games available in the vicinity. I had two work team building events here in the past few months and it is a complete blast! It's located in Fulton market which is definitely a trendy and hip part of downtown Chicago. The food is definitely not just standard bar food and it is actually very good (and I'm super picky when it comes to bar food!) I've had their burger, tater tots, pretzels, Carnitas tacos, and most recently had their chicken and waffles, which was so delicious. Love the strawberry toppings to mix it up! Once you've filled up your belly, they have tons of fun activities to do such as darts, pool, foosball, bowling, and even karaoke. I love their photo taking section where you can take fun pictures with your group and have it be in a GIF. Service is also super great for large parties and they are super patient with all of our requests! Drinks are also really good and I normally just get beer or simple item off their Happy hour menu. This place is soooo fun!!! We reserved four lanes of bowing all to ourselves. They have bowing, arcade games, bocce, karaoke, board games, giant twister, and more! Basically, think of an adult playground where you can host parties. There's also a section where you can sit down and order food. The vibes are super fun, and decor is kinda eclectic. I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of the buffet spread, but we got the chips with guac and salsa, crispy Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, Thai chili glaze chicken bites, and the knockoff burger sliders. First time here. The concept is AWESOME! The staff was nice, but jt is very clear that there is zero management here. No one to explain how the game works. Drink/bar review only -- The space is like a Dave & Busters. There's a bowling section, billiards, and other games. There's also an ugly Christmas sweater popup shop right now. I came on a Tuesday night for trivia night. Trivia is hosted in the bar area and there was only one bartender working. There was no waiter so all orders had to be made with the bartender. I ordered the hibiscus 66 punch which was actually pretty good. I went back to order another drink but because it was only one bartender, it took forever and I couldn't get another drink order in. I then went back 20 minutes later to close out the tab for my one drink, and that took a long time too! It just doesn't make sense why the establishment would host a trivia event every Tuesday to try to bring in more people, and there would only be one bartender working. read more

So I'm having mixed feelings about Punch Bowl and it's why I've given them 3 stars. First their ada accessibility was basically non existent. They said their elevator was down but didn't offer to allow us to use the service elevator, this is just kinda unacceptable. The server was giving good service, however, we were trying to communicate to her that we wanted to make sure our checks weren't being confused with others and it wasn't landing and that made it a little frustrating. However, the food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were good too. I would definitely recommend the nachos, fish sandwich, wings, and the wedge salad. It was decent, but too sweet for me, so we ended up just having the well whiskey (which was Evan Williams, so not too bad) and ginger ale. I ordered the Chips & Guac, but the server mistakenly brought us the Queso Dip. We really enjoyed it, so we weren't upset about the mistake. You'll need to request extra chips though. We also had the Cocoa Dusted Carnitas Tacos, which the menu boasts as 1 of the house favorites. I can see why. The meat was tender and had a ton of flavor. I'm typically not a fan of corn tortillas, but these were good. They weren't gummy or stiff, but I will say that after sitting for a while, they did not hold up to all the ingredients - so eat them as soon as they arrive at the table. Our server checked on us so many times while we were there, so we were super appreciative of that. Oh, and if you don't like a lot of noise, this isn't the spot for you. They told us we would be good without one, and we were! On weekdays, they have happy hour specials like $5 margs and $5 cosmos, and even bowling was half off with 30 min of extra time! We love coming here, it reminds us of similar visits back home in California at the same venue. Definitely a great place to play games, hang out with friends, and bowl if you're interested. This place has a lot of games that you can choose from. The Matcha cocktail is delicious and is a must try. The Sriracha peanut fries are spicy and incredibly flavorful. I was excited to bring my daughter and her friends here this past weekend since we loved it pre pandemic, but it just wasn't quite the same. Like many businesses they were very understaffed and the staff who was working weren't happy about it. It took forever to seat our party of 9 for our reservation and once we were finally seated I approached the hostess 5 times (nicely) to ask for menus. She snapped at me and told me she should have gone home an hour beforehand. Our waiter was friendly and tried his hardest, but was also overwhelmed and got half our order wrong. He was also MIA for the majority of our meal and when I asked other servers for things like water was told they weren't our server. I found myself walking back to the kitchen over and over again to fix our order since i had 7 hangry girls. I originally chose this because thought the girls would have a lot of fun doing the activities. I was told it was a short wait for bowling, but everytime i approached the activities stand they said it wasn't quite ready yet...and finally I gave up. Virtual Reality apparently didn't make it thru the pandemic, which they were most excited about. They weren't interested in karaoke, which I thought would have been fun...but overhead someone come out of the karaoke room complaining the microphone was broken. The girls spent the majority of their time in the small arcade room where skee ball was the most popular attraction. I will admit the arcade room was a great way to pass the time while we waited for our food. The food itself was pretty good, although the main attraction here is the activities and I just wasn't impressed this time around. This place was so cute and fun! I came here with a party of 8 (we made reservations beforehand) midday on a Saturday. First of all Punch Bowl Social is huge! Right when we got in, I noticed the famous colorful laundromat room that's made basically for pictures. It was super cute and bright! We passed it to get to our table which was on the second floor. This is such a creative place with food, picturesque walls, bowling, games, and more. The hostess and server were both so friendly! The food here was good but nothing crazy. We all got assorted dishes and we like the quesadillas the best. The drinks were strong which is always a plus! It's also a loud environment so take that into consideration before booking. We went last night and it was fun! We went for a private event set up by my husband's school. They had a section blocked off on the 2nd floor for us. The food was really good. I've been to Punch Bowl Social several times in Chicago as well as in California and Indiana. My most recent visit was 8/28/2024 as a plus one to my sister's company party. The layout was nice. The drinks flowed freely. Lots of food options, all very good and kept warm. To go boxes were provided for leftovers at the end of our allotted time. The serving staff was excellent. Very nice, attentive, and kept our area clean. Everyone had a great time. There was bowling, ping pong, basketball, and Jenga in our area. Outside of our reserved area was a vibrant photo activation to take fun pictures and quick videos. We pretty much had the place to ourselves as the party was midday. I would highly recommend reserving space here for any large group activity (company teambuilding, birthday's, any reason to have fun). Punch Bowl Social is always a guaranteed fun time across the board, no matter what state I've been in. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because, unfortunately, they had a worn-down couch in our section that needed repairing based on all of the tape on the damaged areas. Which apparently isn't doing anything since I still I got cut across the top of my hand from a jagged edge. I sought out one of the folks who wasn't a server. Showed them my injury, pointed to the source, and asked for a band-aid. One thing for sure is that I'm glad it wasn't a life-threatening injury because there was no expeditiousness about tending to my need. I started to wonder what happens if a worker gets injured on the job for the length of time it took to get back to me. And from where I was standing, I saw what looked like a first aid kit on the wall of the kitchen area. I was given 2 band-aids and the equivalent of a wet wipe to cleanse the cut. They didn't seem phased by this occurrence. I don't know how many more people need to get hurt on this furniture before they purchase a new one, because I'd think they have the money to replace it, hopefully they take action sooner rather than later. I brought my son here for his 20th birthday,I made reservations the day before but we attended on 11/13/25 party of 5, we got there and check in I did not get the ladies name but it was around 4:30pm when we arrived I asked was everything available to play (Bowling, Arcade) she said yes and proceeded to seat us, so we all ordered our food, ate and g ot ready to go bowl and we get to the bowling section and it says closed due to a private event so we were a little disappointed so we are like ok we will just play some games apparently everything was closed due to private events, so now I m livid at this point because if we were told this from the beginning we would not have stayed.
