Commenting on the mini golf experience solely as I did not try the food or bar. I really enjoyed Puttshack and thought it was a neat mini golf activity. I really liked how automated everything was and how interactive the holes were. Our party booked tickets ahead of time and visited mid-day on a Friday. It was absolutely packed, but thankfully we didn't have to wait for the parties in front of us to finish their holes. There's a lot of hype and unfortunately it's just hype. It costs $14 per person and it took our party of two a whopping 13 minutes to make it through the 9 hole course. We did not rush. We did not hurry. The automated course is neat in that it keeps score for you but there was nothing I would consider "instagrammable." There are four courses and when making the reservation, there's nothing to indicate which course you're playing so even if you wanted to go back, there's no guarantee you wouldn't end up on any same course. On top of that, when I went to the restroom, there was no toilet paper available, which put me in a really uncomfortable/nasty situation. Puttshack is a reinvented mini-golf that utilizes technology to create an immersive experience challenging not only your skills but knowledge and tactics in family-friend games. It utilizes a ball that tracks your strokes and calculates your points on each of the four unique courses. Not only does Puttshack offer indoor mini golf, but they also include a bar for drinks and a dining area for food! Unfortunately, my experience here went from 100 to 0 very quickly. Reservations were made for opening day for mini golf and dining in. Yes, it is recommended to reserve ahead of time if you don't want to wait long to play or eat. Four different courses and you get placed to one of the courses at random. You get the trackable ball and play on the 9-hole course, which takes about 30 minutes to complete. Note it is $14/person a course, but if you book online you can potentially get 50% off the 2nd game from open to 4PM Mondays through Fridays when booked together. My party had a lot of fun playing the 1st course and decided to book another course in-house. What went really wrong is how the reservations are made. We are required to pay first and then create the profile/reservation thereafter to add-in the players. However, the system was not pulling up two members when we JUST played a game not too long ago. What gives? The workers didn't even know what was going on and people after people were being called to assist. It ended up taking almost a half-hour to be "fixed". What's also odd is our 2nd reservation was made for 9:30PM and yet on the reservation screen it shows 9:50PM. Did they move our reservation without telling us? An explanation for the pushback would have been greatly appreciated. Already irritated, but didn't want to let it ruin our night so luckily we were able to get our reservation table moved up. We were seated upstairs at our table and ordered our food and drinks. To our surprise, the food was actually pretty good! The menu isn't extensive and has a good variety of bar foods. From the fries, Korean bbq bao buns, and burgers it was all cooked very well and had great flavor. They have a huge selection of drinks as well so each person can definitely find one to their taste. The downside would be each of the food and drink items are a bit on the pricier side. My group went back down to our 2nd mini golf reservation and this was where our excitement dies. We go to the Amber course to check-in and attempted to get our golf balls to play. The machine dispensed one until it got to me and then had trouble dispensing mine. The worker and I attempted multiple times even manually but nothing. He calls in another worker for assistance. Much time has passed and they offer a solution for us to play on another course, which we politely consent to. The big kicker. One of us already got a ball dispensed meaning it was registered to Amber course only. They couldn't figure out a way to move her name into the other course resulting in additional problem-solving. More irritation...... No resolution was made and so we asked if we could receive a refund for the "broken" game and pay for a new game. He was unsure of the answer and grabs the manager. The manager tells us he cannot issue us a refund. Why not? It was so easy to take our card information so I do not see the reason they can't give a refund right there. At this point, my group was upset about the constant waiting and how everything was being handled so just wanted a full refund and leave. Another manager was then called and told us we can request a refund through their website. Note that the website states, "If you cancel your booking with fewer than 12 hours until your tee time, you will unfortunately receive no refund and be charged for the cost of your reservation." My group and I pointed this out and they said it should not be a problem. We are still waiting for that refund. For an attraction that values customer time, they sure did not respect ours. The lack of communication was appalling and not even an apology or solution was exchanged to make the situation better. Heck, none of the managers even made a proper introduction like their first name! I get that it was the 1st day of opening and technical difficulties can occur, but customer satisfaction should always be the number one goal, right? My group and I were very patient with Puttshack, but the way the team handled our situation was highly disappointing. For something that is superior in technology, there are certainly flaws. read more

I placed a reservation online and showed up 15 minutes early as advised. Upon entering we were greeted and told we had to finish signing up the rest of our group at the kiosk. After completing that, we were advised to find our name on the tv screen and wait for directions to the area. My name lit up and told me to go to the Emerald lane. I arrived with my spouse and we stood there. The man in my photo made eye contact with me 5 different times and never acknowledged me. Every other person who walked up he kindly replied with a nice greeting and asked if they needed help. After about 10 minutes of just standing there, he finally turns to me and asks if we need help. I've never been to a place like this before so I wasn't sure if it was standard practice or if it was because of discrimination. Either way - he advised us that this lane would be too slow and he told us to go to the Ruby side upstairs. We followed directions and went to Ruby. When we got there we had to wait for 2 groups to be allowed to start. If you only have two people in your group and do not like standing around waiting for others to finish, this may not be for you. We were placed behind a group of 7 people with children who were running all over the place. At one point we waited 15 minutes just to put one space. We spent around $30 to do the 9 holes and after that experience we decided to leave immediately. read more

We visited this location a month ago! We started with a early dinner upstairs. I had the goat cheese and beet salad with salmon. My husband had the Mediterranean lamb skewers, and the boys had chicken tenders. Very good! The only complaint came from our 8 year old, the honey had a hint of spice to it. Which I thought was great (I put hot sauce on everything) , him not so much. Lol. We all agreed that we would reorder everything again. The service was great and she even offered to take a few pictures of all of us. We were very impressed with the 9 hole set up. With multiple courses to play! We played three of the four courses. Each one was different. I did not hold back on wiping the floor with my 6 and 8 year old step sons and 43 year old husband. The only feedback I have, is that the tables could be cleared and wiped down more often. Most of the cocktail tables had empty martini and drink glasses. I was nervous the boys were going to knock them over. Other than that the staff checked on us regularly and were very attentive. Went for my 11 year-old's birthday - their reservation system needs significant work. Reserved mini golf for 5:30 and the email said to come in 15 minutes early, got there about 5:15 and the reservation had been moved to 5:50 with no explanation. Looked at the screen per the hostess's instructions, it said "Wait 40 minutes." Might not be so bad, but all of the tables around the bar said "Reserved" and the only available seats were at the bar - not great when three members of your party of five are under 18. After standing around with nothing to do, we ended up just going next door to CB2 and looking at furniture for 20 minutes. Was able to get into mini golf a bit earlier than 5:50, and golf was super fun for all of us - but then we finished our nine holes right at 6:15pm, which was our dinner reservation time. Went to the hostess again, and she said they didn't have any tables and had just seated all of them, so wait would be at least 30 minutes. I asked why we made a reservation if we were going to be asked to wait 30+ minutes past our reservation time, especially with nowhere to sit and nothing to do - she was very apologetic and said that all of the reservations are being pushed later because of so many people. Seems like a problem with the way they set reservations, not the problem of the customer. We politely asked her to just cancel the reservation and walked over to Zinburger instead - they got us right in and we had a nice dinner, and a free shake for the birthday boy. Wished we would've been able to stay at Puttshack, but not willing to stand around for half an hour because their reservation system is flawed and there is nothing else to do there. Two stars just because mini golf was fun for adults and kids - but we probably won't be back unless we find out they've fixed their systems significantly. read more

This was pretty cool. My grandson and I were visiting the area taking in the spring baseball and had some time to kill so started shopping for Putt-Putts. This isn't a Putt-Putt with the goofy windmills or the three-bank holes. It's probably as close as you are going to get to the regular outdoor experience but in the cool indoors. Eighteen holes set up over two nine-hole courses. The fee includes your pick of normal, professional putters and balls. The service was great as we enjoyed a couple of cool ones around the course. I went here for a business happy hour on a Tuesday and was admittedly a little pessimistic about how much fun I might have. There were about 12 of us and we had made a reservation for golf along with a bunch of appetizers. Walked in and was VERY pleasantly surprised. They had a nice area roped off for us with a TON of good stuff. Tacos, appetizers and the service was great! Hung there for about an hour then went over to the putting side. My husband and I came here for date night! We did a round of golf and dinner. The round of golf was INCREDIBLY fun. It took everything you love about mini golf and made it easier and more interactive. We will be back for a game for sure As far as the food; it was delicious but I think there could be some improvement. I thought that the menu although 'globally inspired' lacked options for picky eaters. I also felt like it was a poor plate choice for the actual eating of the food. It wasn't bad and I can see us eating there again but I do think small improvements could make it better If I could leave a 5 star rating on service alone I would! Second review of this place - and had another exceptionally positive experience. We went on a whim on a crowded Saturday night - my nephew's high school soccer team had traveled from southern Arizona for soccer and 7 of them wanted to check it out. It was crowded and a little chaotic, and as we were registering the last two, the reservation spots ran out... as we were finishing our drinks and flustering about what other activity to do on a Saturday night, a manager, Ron, approached us and told us one of the hostesses had overheard our dilemma and offered to help us! He added them and basically saved our night! The parents enjoyed cocktails, and the boys had a blast! I still didn't get to try the food so can't review that, but the cocktails and management are great. Many times these places seem like faceless corporate run businesses, or Scottsdale snobby, but this place feels more inviting. Our group certainly appreciated the kindness that night. My only suggestion would be a two-course option or all four-in-a-day option because like someone else said, it's very quick, and then you leave and go elsewhere in the Quarter. This is a great idea with horrible execution at this location. Overall a fun game, but seriously, the overcrowding is an issue. Some courses run long lines while others have no line at all. Since they schedule who goes to what course, seems like an easily fixable problem by training employees better or getting a better software. First the good: - it was a unique experience and a fun course - the super shot thing that basically gives automatic hole in ones is a fun update to the typical mini golf Now the bad: - first of all, it was SO hot. It was chilly outside but playing the course we were sweating - they WAY overbook. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation. We had to wait till our scheduled time. No problem, or so we thought... at the scheduled time, we went to our assigned course where there was a large line (even though the two downstairs courses had NO line) and we waited 20 minutes past our reservation time in a line that moved almost not at all. - During the wait in the long line after our reservation time, they moved the group behind us to the course downstairs because there was no line. This was frustrating of course because they were BEHIND US. - The overcrowding causes people to be really pushy. - The price is a high for only 9 holes/maybe 30 minutes. read more

i was very impressed with this place! it's in a great location which was convenient so we could do shopping before or afterwards. the course itself was very fun, not your typical mini golf course. it's very interactive and the technology with the golf balls is very cool. i will say that the 9 holes go pretty quick, so this isn't a long experience in my opinion. we did stay to have dinner here after and i was very impressed with that as well. i wasn't expecting the greatest food since it's a mini golf place, but it was actually very tasty. i ordered the o.g. burger and it was super tasty. i highly recommend checking it out! we also all shared the screwball cookie - it was super interesting but good! i will definitely be returning here. all the staff was great and our server was very nice too. read more

Highly recommend a reservation. We went on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't super busy. We did the emerald course, we had some technical difficulties. During the second hole one of the balls needed to be replaced, for 2 others in our party the system completely rebooted during the game and they had to start over. They only seemed to have one person working, which I understand but also this made it a little harder to get timely help. The courses are only 9 holes so it's over pretty quickly. There are 2 courses and you don't get to pick which one you do and your reservation doesn't give you both. Overall it's a great concept and we did enjoy ourselves! Our first time here and it has a nice vibe. It was packed for a Monday but being that it was a holiday that was expected. What wasn't expected was how short staff they were at the bar. Management definitely dropped the ball there. Thank goodness we had an amazing bartender Molly, who despite having a constant line never loss her smile. She was engaging and super nice and although running the bar and server orders she made my experience feel personable. She is part of the rare ones that you find in hospitality service that make your experience enjoyable and worth coming back. The buffalo chicken dip was good and came out hot!
