This was pretty cool. My grandson and I were visiting the area taking in the spring baseball and had some time to kill so started shopping for Putt-Putts. This isn't a Putt-Putt with the goofy windmills or the three-bank holes. It's probably as close as you are going to get to the regular outdoor experience but in the cool indoors. Eighteen holes set up over two nine-hole courses. The fee includes your pick of normal, professional putters and balls. The service was great as we enjoyed a couple of cool ones around the course. Overall, a very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours out of the heat. read more

We visited this location a month ago! We started with a early dinner upstairs. I had the goat cheese and beet salad with salmon. My husband had the Mediterranean lamb skewers, and the boys had chicken tenders. Very good! The only complaint came from our 8 year old, the honey had a hint of spice to it. Which I thought was great (I put hot sauce on everything) , him not so much. Lol. We all agreed that we would reorder everything again. The service was great and she even offered to take a few pictures of all of us. We were very impressed with the 9 hole set up. With multiple courses to play! We played three of the four courses. Each one was different. I did not hold back on wiping the floor with my 6 and 8 year old step sons and 43 year old husband. The only feedback I have, is that the tables could be cleared and wiped down more often. Most of the cocktail tables had empty martini and drink glasses. I was nervous the boys were going to knock them over. Other than that the staff checked on us regularly and were very attentive. Went for my 11 year-old's birthday - their reservation system needs significant work. Reserved mini golf for 5:30 and the email said to come in 15 minutes early, got there about 5:15 and the reservation had been moved to 5:50 with no explanation. Looked at the screen per the hostess's instructions, it said "Wait 40 minutes." Might not be so bad, but all of the tables around the bar said "Reserved" and the only available seats were at the bar - not great when three members of your party of five are under 18. After standing around with nothing to do, we ended up just going next door to CB2 and looking at furniture for 20 minutes. Was able to get into mini golf a bit earlier than 5:50, and golf was super fun for all of us - but then we finished our nine holes right at 6:15pm, which was our dinner reservation time. Went to the hostess again, and she said they didn't have any tables and had just seated all of them, so wait would be at least 30 minutes. I asked why we made a reservation if we were going to be asked to wait 30+ minutes past our reservation time, especially with nowhere to sit and nothing to do - she was very apologetic and said that all of the reservations are being pushed later because of so many people. Seems like a problem with the way they set reservations, not the problem of the customer. We politely asked her to just cancel the reservation and walked over to Zinburger instead - they got us right in and we had a nice dinner, and a free shake for the birthday boy. Wished we would've been able to stay at Puttshack, but not willing to stand around for half an hour because their reservation system is flawed and there is nothing else to do there. I went here for a business happy hour on a Tuesday and was admittedly a little pessimistic about how much fun I might have. There were about 12 of us and we had made a reservation for golf along with a bunch of appetizers. Walked in and was VERY pleasantly surprised. They had a nice area roped off for us with a TON of good stuff. Tacos, appetizers and the service was great! Hung there for about an hour then went over to the putting side. Second review of this place - and had another exceptionally positive experience. We went on a whim on a crowded Saturday night - my nephew's high school soccer team had traveled from southern Arizona for soccer and 7 of them wanted to check it out. It was crowded and a little chaotic, and as we were registering the last two, the reservation spots ran out... as we were finishing our drinks and flustering about what other activity to do on a Saturday night, a manager, Ron, approached us and told us one of the hostesses had overheard our dilemma and offered to help us! He added them and basically saved our night! The parents enjoyed cocktails, and the boys had a blast! I still didn't get to try the food so can't review that, but the cocktails and management are great. Many times these places seem like faceless corporate run businesses, or Scottsdale snobby, but this place feels more inviting. Our group certainly appreciated the kindness that night. My only suggestion would be a two-course option or all four-in-a-day option because like someone else said, it's very quick, and then you leave and go elsewhere in the Quarter. This is a great idea with horrible execution at this location. Overall a fun game, but seriously, the overcrowding is an issue. Some courses run long lines while others have no line at all. Since they schedule who goes to what course, seems like an easily fixable problem by training employees better or getting a better software. First the good: - it was a unique experience and a fun course - the super shot thing that basically gives automatic hole in ones is a fun update to the typical mini golf Now the bad: - first of all, it was SO hot. It was chilly outside but playing the course we were sweating - they WAY overbook. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation. We had to wait till our scheduled time. No problem, or so we thought... at the scheduled time, we went to our assigned course where there was a large line (even though the two downstairs courses had NO line) and we waited 20 minutes past our reservation time in a line that moved almost not at all. - During the wait in the long line after our reservation time, they moved the group behind us to the course downstairs because there was no line. This was frustrating of course because they were BEHIND US. - The overcrowding causes people to be really pushy. - The price is a high for only 9 holes/maybe 30 minutes. read more

Highly recommend a reservation. We went on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't super busy. We did the emerald course, we had some technical difficulties. During the second hole one of the balls needed to be replaced, for 2 others in our party the system completely rebooted during the game and they had to start over. They only seemed to have one person working, which I understand but also this made it a little harder to get timely help. The courses are only 9 holes so it's over pretty quickly. There are 2 courses and you don't get to pick which one you do and your reservation doesn't give you both. Overall it's a great concept and we did enjoy ourselves! We booked a reservation for a table and unlimited putting. We checked in and were advised it would be about 5-10 minutes while they buss a table- no problem! 30 minutes later, we watch another family get seated, questioned the host about it and his reply was "we will get you seated in 2-3 minutes, we need to buss a table." We asked to speak with a manager, was told "absolutely!" Yet no manager showed. We were sat at a table 12 minutes before our tee time, roughly 45 minutes after our table reservation time. Our waitress was amazing, but we asked about speaking with a manager and was told "I'll send them over"- yet no manager showed. We asked the host to push our tee time back due to the delay which he accommodated with no issues. The food is mediocre and options are limited. Their drink menu seemed to be full of options and the bar was packed, so I will assume the drink selection is what is outstanding here. I wouldn't bother with a reservation as it has no impact on when you will dine or play. read more

Our first time here and it has a nice vibe. It was packed for a Monday but being that it was a holiday that was expected. What wasn't expected was how short staff they were at the bar. Management definitely dropped the ball there. Thank goodness we had an amazing bartender Molly, who despite having a constant line never loss her smile. I decided to check this place out for my birthday with family and friends. I called on a Wednesday to ask if I would be refunded for any admission not used. The woman on the other line said I could be refunded for any unused slots. I purchased 12 and ended up using 10. I arrived that Sunday and we made our way to our course. When we arrived the ball machine was not working or out of balls? I'm honestly not sure. An employee was standing by it waiting for something. I step up when she instructs me to and our balls begin to dispens. At no point did the employee offer/allow me to enter my phone number to redeem my free birthday game. Once we were checked in there was so explanation on how this all worked. I understand it's mini golf and pretty self explanatory. What I was not told is that you do not need to play the holes in order and each player does not have to go in order. You can jump around and play out of order go ahead or behind your group. The lack of help and explanation was disappointing with all the customers and staff present. No signs posted that I saw. Once completed I made my way to the check in at the entrance to ask about next steps for my refund. I was told no refund would be given. A manager came out and said no refunds after 12 hours/day of. She was super unhelpful. Not a single employee I interacted with was friendly. I called my credit card company and they handled it for me. Kelsey - I appreciate you taking the time to read and write me back. I would love for you to make it right and provide me with two free games for my troubles. This was probably the worst managed putt putt golf/poorly ran business I've seen in a long time. I could probably write 5 paragraphs on how bad it was, from the un clear, misleading website to the horrible check in process going through 3 different sets of employees to "check in" to the actual playing experience and long lines and confusion from workers and customers, it was honestly a very bad experience. First and foremost, every single worker here was terrible, they all had attitude, treated us like we were dumb for not knowing how to navigate the "check in" process and it was very easy to tell that all of them hated their jobs. From the start, The website should clearly state that you are only playing 9 holes, the website literally says a cheesy line like "make sure to book two rounds, the first round is only a practice round" that's misleading, usually at putt putt place, a full round is 18, not 9.(The employee even said to book the extra round online and you'll get 50% off, which was not the case, we even looked online and the 2nd round is not 50% off???) Not sure why that isn't in there, maybe you guys should focus on properly communicating to your customers how it works and what you should expect instead of coming up with cheesy nicknames for things on the website like "the deets" instead of "details of the booking" when checking out lol. Next, when we walked in to check in, the employee said what color are you? And we said we don't know we are here to check in, then she says you had to check the board for what color we were, so we had to walk half way across the restaurant and sit and look at a screen for 5 minutes to see what color we were. Then we come back to the desk and tell her blue and she says we have to go upstairs to checkin (already too many steps) So we go upstairs and walk up to worker/desk #2 and tell her we want to check in and she asks if we have are registered online and we say no, then she says to go to another worker to check in (10 min after "tee time" at this point) Then to worker #3 upstairs, located to next to a dinner table with a family eating and a couple steps with waitresses and waiters walking through every 30 seconds, awkwardly waiting to check in (already looks so unprofessional and unorganized) she greets us and nonchalantly rushes through all the instructions and check in process in about 30 seconds, and we still have no clue how anything works cause she didn't explain anything, then we start asking questions on how all this works and she proceeds to tell us that the management is terrible and doesn't communicate anything to the employees and there's tons of confusion and chaos every day. We started playing and the first 4 holes went fast but then we had to wait for hole #5 for about 10 minutes because they literally let any of the guests play out of order so there were constant lines and people running around the whole place. The holes were extremely crammed and way too small for 9 holes. Putters were super cheap, You couldn't even fully putt because they had a wood block behind where you place the ball so it would hit your backswing every time lol. There was no way to order a drink, very unsafe with little table stands put in random places all over the place, it was complete chaos. There's honestly too much to list here on how bad this place was, it seemed like the owners or managers don't understand the customer experience or just simply don't care about it. Im not writing this as an unhappy customer because we tried to make the best of the situation while we were there, but I hope the manager or owner actually reads this because this is real constructive criticism on such a poorly run business, we were actually laughing at one point by how bad it was. read more

A few caveats: did not eat/order food, and we had been to another location prior to this (London). If you're coming here expecting to be amazed by craft cocktails or food, you're not in the right spot. This is putt putt first, everything else after. We made a reservation online, came in with 5ish min and our res was already available. Jumped onto the Amber course, Astrid was the waitress at hole 1 who was friendly and very quick to grab us a red bull and a cocktail. Surprised they did glass containers, but didn't matter much overall. We went after 7pm on a weekday, so there was some remnant company parties and larger groups, but it's 21+ after that time so it felt a bit more mature. Got held up a few times because of larger groups ahead, but got through the course in 45ish minutes. Booked the next round and played emerald, which was completely empty and we ended up finishing in 20-30 min. Lots of fun, diverse games at each hole. Overall, a few things to dock points over: 1-if you walk in the side entrance, it can be a little confusing about where to go/what to do. 2-in the other location, they had a screen that showed wait times for the various courses so you could game plan if you wanted to try and make a new res. Not knowing what it looked like upstairs, and having to wait at amber, could've been nice to go to a diff course so that we're not standing around 3-it's loud, so don't expect this to be a quiet, intimate experience 4-when you're booking, you don't get to pick course. One of the employees told us that you can change which course once you're called up to one, but knowing that that's an option beforehand would be better 5-the time between tee times of small vs big groups could be better regulated Overall, great location, good date night spot. I didn't have food or drinks so I can only speak on the mini-golf experience. We came with reservations on a Sunday afternoon. The place was packed with people, as expected. There are four different courses (two on the main floor and two on the second floor). I don't think you have a say in what course your party is assigned to. You are given a club and a golf ball that is electronically linked to you, then sent to the first hole. There is a screen on top of each hole that displays the players name and scores. You putt your ball, then move on to the next hole when everyone is done. It's a cool concept and the courses are creative, but everything was built too closely together and there is barely space to stand on. We bumped into other groups several times. Plus it was really awkward when our group was still playing and the group behind us was already crowding us, waiting their turn. It was not fun. On top of that, we had three technical difficulties during our game. One hole didn't register my putt and made me do a redo. Another hole wouldn't light up green to start my turn. The last hole completely froze on us, and an employee had to come and reset it. It took away from the fun. I honestly wouldn't come here again. There as so many other mini-golf courses in the Valley with more to offer. read more

They must have offered huge discounts for 5 star reviews, since this place is garbage and feels like the ikea setup of mini golf yet they charge $50 per person for 18 holes despite the fact that half the holes are EXACTLY the same.
