Honestly this place was very disappointing, frustrating, and underwhelming for our first time in. First, the course is very small. This place is more like a bar/restaurant with a golfing arcade section (9 holes) to finish the night. We were in and out in 45 minutes for $14/person when there are tons of mini golf places in town charging $10/person with 18 holes plus $5 replays all day long (not just before 4pm) AND they're neon 3D! Secondly, the staff talked like they were robots (unless they were talking with each other of course). The girl explaining the game to us couldn't even keep her lines together cause she was word vomiting too fast. By the time she was done speaking we completely forgot everything she said cause of how many times she stumbled over herself. Witnessed the same thing with another girl who was helping a guest check in when we first walked in. This time the guy just walked away from her mid-sentence cause she was being so deadpan in her delivery and clearly not actually trying to help anyone. Probably not the best person to be greeting guests when they first walk in. She then laughed it off before doing the same thing to us. (While on the topic, why does the front desk need 6 associates looking at a tablet when there are clearly people wondering around lost?) We got 4 holes into our game before my friends ball disconnected and we had to wait for a technician to come help. He then listed off some technical terms like we're suppose to know what he was talking about before walking away. Eventually my friend got another ball and by this point all the parties were on top of each other. Then 2 holes later the party in front of us had a ball disconnect as well (this problem alone added 10 minutes to our total 40 minute playtime). Pen and paper would've sufficed over the bells and whistles of a "high tech" golf game that's half functional. This place obviously cares more about how it can marketing itself online than it does actually ensuring guests have a good time (or at least a pleasant one). I drove 45 minutes here with a friend for his birthday today because I wanted to surprise him with a new course we haven't played before. I honestly wish we just stuck to our old spots and had a nice dinner. 1 star because that's the minimum, +1 star because the jolly rancher shot we had at the bar was tasty. A pro tip: Get a rule sign explaining the check in process and game rules. You'll save a lot of money on what you're paying all these people for who clearly don't want to be there anyways. Highlight of our night was ZINBURGER up the street after deciding not to stick around for food. Friendly, attentive staff from the moment we walked in, delicious food, quick service and the hostess immediately cleared a table for us when my friend requested a booth. I'm currently snacking on my crispy buffalo chicken leftovers while writing this. 5/5 would recommend. Final Verdict: type "mini golf" into Google/Apple Maps and go literally anywhere but here. read more

Very unorganized. Manager was extremely smug and rude. when we tried to add a disabled girl to our reservation of nine he'd said absolutely not he did not have one $150 dollar ball to spare. When we threaten to leave, he said I don't care I have a full house. He challenged us to leave him a bad review because business was so good. Staff to seem to be extremely overwhelmed, Empty alcohol glasses were stacked at every station. No one was asking for orders to be taken. Extremely expensive extremely unorganized. Rude staff. The balls were extremely dirty, and had never been cleaned. Such a fun experience! The staff were all really welcoming and nice. The courses are small and quick so definitely make sure to book more than one if you are wanting to be out for a while. I do want to go back to try the food and drinks because the menu looked intriguing. Had a 7:30 tee time reserved. Showed up to find our tee time pushed back to 8 as courses were moving slow. Understandable when busy - but why not text the customer to say "FYI your time has been moved back"? You get a tee time text reminder anyway 15 mins before. Then sat at a seat at the crowded bar for 20 mins without any service or nod from the bartender. Couldn't get a drink after 20 mins of waiting. Finally got up and stood in the crowded hallway waiting. All EMPTY tables have a reserved sign on them. On our course, waited 10 mins between holes. CROWDED and unorganized. read more

Horrible. I get what they're trying to do but it's wayyyy too small and over priced. Literally cancelled my reservation the second I got in because we were going to have to wait an adoption so 30 minutes for other people to finish the 9 holes. The bar is bigger than the actual mini golf courses. Sad. We decided to go to the bar to grab a quick drink before going somewhere else and it costs us $38 for 2 shots of Casamigos ..... CAP !!!!! Oh ... if you make a reservation you have to cancel 12 hours in advance or something like that. The check in person didn't know. So I recommend just showing up, taking a tour and seeing if it's worth it first. read more

My son had reservations at puttshack yesterday. We went there and my son, his girlfriend and my wife played golf. I went over to hostess to get booth, have a beer and wait while they played. Hostess told me I could not sit and wait at a booth, I was directed to small table near edge of the restaurant. I didn't like it but sat down. Keeping track of time, I waited for 21 minutes before anyone asked if I wanted anything. I was pissed after waiting so long and did not get anything. Sitting there for over an hour I spent my time watching the customers come in and most, dozens, walked around with a confused look on their faces. I also watched as an equal number of staff walked right past these obviously confused customers and not one would take the time to help them. The family got done and asked about staying for lunch, I said Hell No, going to spend my money some place else and we left. Somebody needs to tell the staff without customers they don't have a job. read more

I booked a party of 6 and party of 7 for mid-day over 3 weeks ago. Everyone did their preregistration. First, when you enter, there is chaos and no directions on what to do. Then once we figured out where to go, the employee stated that what I reserved was there but with 8 people. I showed him the emailed receipts of bookings. He had to get another employee. Then they ball dispenser wouldn't work and we were separated into 4 groups because the technology wouldn't work. It was tight space with inability to interact even in small groups. Three of us had to have our balls replaced as they stopped working. I know the business is new, but definitely not ready for public. I will not be going back. read more

Man the service here is really terrible. We went around 630pm and the guy running the ball machine was rude. We had a large group and we've never been here and it was like we were bothering him with our questions about how to set the balls up. Our server was sweet and the food was decent bar food. The service and vibes from everyone else just completely ruined the entire experience for us. And judging by a majority of the reviews of their poor service, I shouldn't have been so surprised. Super cramped space and everything is jammed in next to each other. You also only get to play 9 holes. They encourage you to not wait for your group and continue to the next as soon as you're done. Kind of defeats the purpose of going together as a group to do something. Wouldn't come back unless they change some of these issues. read more

They've been open for just 3 weeks and are definitely working through the initial opening challenges but what a fun place. Great date spot, even fun with the kids early enough in the day. We came here for a combined Batchelor / Bachelorette party and had a blast. The food was fantastic; the drinks were delicious. They made sure everyone was having a great time from start to finish. We had an awesome time at Puttshack! Came in on Friday afternoon. It's a pretty big space, bar, games, seating to the right, kitchen to the back, golf to the left. Fun atmosphere, good music. Grabbed a couple drinks at the bar and headed over to play our round. The system as far as check in was super easy to use and accurate. The putting game is very cool. The balls are like smart balls and the screens reflect whose ball is going, how many shots you took, etc. The 9 holes went quick - perfect amount of time for a fun little activity. What I learned about Puttshack Scottsdale is that they have an amazing group of employees and service staff. The environment is inviting, the food is so very good. I just got out of our game and I'm leaving a one star review because an employee there was extremely rude. We tried signing on to one of the course that was for our reservation and the staff member told us that he was shutting it down for the night and that we should have common sense when approaching the displays because of what it says on there. We felt extremely disrespected and we didn't even want to continue playing. We reserved a table to enjoy some food but we felt so uncomfortable so we left. Was here for an event. We had an area reserved for a couple of hours. At about 30 minutes in, I believe a manager, came out and whistled loud at everyone and yelled "if you're going to golf I need you to golf" then gave everyone a dirty look. He then walked back to the bar and continued to scowl at us. We had it rented for a specific amount of time, there was really no reason for this, and even if we were a "problem", there is a better way to handle it than this. Everyone here seemed to have an attitude, didn't want to be there, or even want us there. Two stars rather than one because of a single waitress that was extremely nice. While the idea is super cool, I do not believe I'd go back. Looking at other reviews, our experience is not isolated. Seems a company representative is pretty active on these reviews, hopefully they take these seriously or what could be an awesome place to spend time (and money) won't be around long. read more

This venue is very confusing. You make a reservation (7:00) and register your players online. You are given a tee time and when you show up 15 minutes before your time are told they are running 20 minutes late. Your time is now 7:20. They give you no direction and so you get a drink and stand around and when it's your new time you are told to stand in the line and wait. Good grief! Once we finally got assigned to a different course we waited in line again. So it was 8:30 by the time we got going. The final straw is that the air conditioning wasn't working and the waiter took my unfinished drink that I had set down to play the hole. If you like standing in lines and sweating, then this is the place for you. read more

I've been here twice now, once for a work event and once for a date night. The golf courses are fun and creative and the cocktails are pretty yummy! I recommend buying 2 games and doing 18 holes since, one game can go by kinda fast if you have a small party. Our server the last time we were here, Astrid, was really sweet and funny. Although the place was pretty busy, we didn't have to wait long for drinks or open holes on the course. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying some of their food! read more

Slightly underwhelming. I went with a private party so we were upstairs. Don't get me wrong, the whole place LOOKS fun. We had a small sitting area for our group of 10 and the food was good and the drinks were creative. When we got onto the course, which was very tiny and was not designed with well, there is 1 exit that also is the entry. It's 5 small steps that is maybe only 4 ft wide. But there is always a line of people on it waiting to play and then you have the servers using it constantly to give people their drinks since they are allowed on the course. The small course for parties seemed more like an after thought. And when were we're finished we ran into the same problem. A group of young women, who I don't blame at all, were waiting on the stairs in a line as that's what they are supposed to do and with the mix of the really loud music and the tight space, it was really uncomfortable getting out. The food was the highlight. The putt golf was an experience that I could do without and the upstairs course was the worst part. If it's this crowded and snug on a Tuesday night in the private parties course, I can't imagine ever coming here on a Friday or Saturday night mixed in with the public. read more

Needless to say, they do not have their operational efficiency down. We booked our time weeks in advance to make sure we had times set for our group. We booked back-to-back times on different courses. When we arrived the monitors were not working so there was already confusion from the start. We walked over to our course at the time we registered for only to then stand in line for another 45 minutes. People were just walking in without reservations and ended up in front of us which created a cluster F. Meanwhile, the course next to us was empty. We asked the staff if we could just move over to the empty course while multiple groups in front of us registered for their accounts and were told that we had to stay on the course we registered for. Once we finally got to the front of the line to start our round they ran out of golf balls. Not sure as a putt putt venue how you run out of golf balls but it happened to multiple groups. There are only 9 holes per course so your round goes fairly quickly. Once we got to our second course we then had to wait in another long line only to play the same course for the most part. 4 of the 9 holes were the same setup as the first course we played on. Not to mention there is no true exit route to the courses. They just end so you have to push your way through the people standing in line to start their round or crawl under the railing.
