What makes a great restaurant, one that makes you come back every Monday for over 2 years? Food and service. That and their Monday/Tuesday Pizza and bottle of wine for $35! C'mon people, what are you waiting for? The food is outstanding, from the appetizers to the pizza's and of course, the desserts. You can't go wrong with any appetizer, but if I had to make a recommendation I would STRONGLY go with the Sicilian Craft Meatballs. Absolutely delicious. They have a spice that teases to palette and makes you want more. Not the typical meatball for sure. Add the focaccia bread to soak up the sauce and you have a party of flavor. Not to be outdone is the Aranici. A deep-fried citrus risotto, four cheese blend, served with creamy arrabbiata sauce. This is a must try at least once. Their pizzas are all flatbread style, but what sets them aside is the olive oil and coast to coast toppings. Our favorite is the Paradise Pie. A perfect balance of a four cheese blend, spinach, pepperoni, crumbled Italian sausage, mushrooms, caramelized red onions. The best part is the house white sauce. That's right, a white sauce, served within seconds of being cooked to perfection. Their Chef also comes up with some specials from time to time that are handcrafted to satisfy any appetite and taste. So if you happen to be there when they have a special, don't hesitate, just order it. Their cocktails are excellent and their wine selection, although not the best, is solid and pairs well just about everything. Lastly, the desserts listed on the menu are all delicious, they do come up with some unique (not listed on the menu) items such as a pumpkin/pecan themed pie that was beyond your typical Thanksgiving offering. Always ask what they have that isn't on the menu. Finally, the one thing that keeps us coming back is the people. Let me put it this way.... Meh at best. Not generous with portions. Ordered the $13 wedge salad and came out with one teeny tiny half of a baby wedge. Didn't know you could even find a head of iceberg lettuce that small and unimpressive. Guys iceberg lettuce is cheap. Especially for restaurants. Even steak restaurants at least give you the Whole half of the iceberg, not a baby half of a half. Anyway, there were two tomatoes that were sliced in half, onion rings, tiny bit of Gorgonzola cheese, and some cooked bacon. Such a sad salad. I ordered chicken on the side $7 so the total for this sad little wedge was $20!! Wow thought I'd at least have enough to eat. I did complain and the manager brought over the other half of the wedge and some additional tomatoes. Very nice quick response. I appreciated it. Still not a decent value in the least. Husband ordered the pizza special that looked amazing but was supposed to have short rib on it. You would need to obtain a Microscope to see any of the short rib. Meh. A place to pass on. read more

Came here yesterday and this place was PACKED on a Tuesday night! However they were still very fast seating us, we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. We barely made it for happy hour (ends at 6pm) and my mom and I both got a sparkling sangria. Drinks and appetizers are $7 during happy hour but we didn't get any appetizers. Now.... onto the pressed chicken sandwich. It was SOOOO GOOD. It's a pretty big sandwich with mozzarella, arugula, a pesto mayo sauce and tomatoes. The bread was very soft and delicious, the sandwich wasn't overloaded with sauce which I like. It also comes with potato wedges which were piping hot and also very good! You get ketchup and some type of mayo sauce on the side. I smashed all the potato wedges and half the sandwich and saved the other half for my lunch today. Decided to check this place out on the way to the Friends Experience. We ordered their hummus plate which was wonderful but my daughter was totally grossed out by how blackened the veggies were. Surf & Turf Mac n Cheese was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection. Came with 2 fantastic shrimp. I could have eaten 6! Plus the mac n cheese was soft and cheese was gooey and full of classic Wisconsin cheddar. Hummus plate with cooked carrots and pita bread was a great starter along with the calamari. I would recommend PV Pie & Wine. But if you're in the mood for Chicago style deep dish, better go somewhere else, all pizzas are thin crust. My 13 yr old had the Meat pizza and liked it. Staff is nice, but the pizza is not good. I ordered a margarita "add meatball" and the toppings were incredibly sparse. Expect mostly sauce. We also got the "Trust Us" pizza which claimed to have caramelized onions, however the onions were raw and unfortunately changed the flavor of the entire pizza. To give credit, when we spoke with the waitress she addressed it immediately and took it off our bill. I greatly appreciate the service, but the food was simply disappointing. read more

First time here as PV Wine and Pie! Met my sister here for lunch one day at her recommendation. The menu designated vegan options, but nothing gluten free, which I could tell they offer safe gluten free options, but undesignated on the menu. I opted for the KALE RUSTICO $13.50 chopped kale, shaved brussels sprouts, shaved cauliflower, herb crostinis, toasted prosciutto, pecorino, lemon tahini dressing. This sure was tasty, gluten free mod was to hold the herb crostini. I added the chicken option and ate the whole thing!! I didn't feel so bad, my sister ate all of her PV CHOPPED Salad $15 romaine hearts, smoked salmon, corn, toasted pepitas, farro, quinoa, tomato, cucumber, gorgonzola, chile lime dressing We each had a drink- because happy hour is from Open until 6pm!! While I still miss the half bottle of wine per entree The Covenant offered on Mondays I REALLY love the pizza here. The crust is perfect and they load the toppings. The patio is dog friendly but it is located in the sun so maybe not the best option in the Summer months. If you bring your dog though, he/she will get lots of attention. And the Paradiso drink was very fruity and boozy. Since we went on a Tuesday, we were able to enjoy their special of $35 pizza and bottle of wine deal. I highly recommend the Ant Moore Sauvignon Blanc, which wasn't very dry and had a beautiful pear aroma. It was the favorite out of the group that also enjoyed the reisling. The service was great very friendly employees warm and welcoming and a beautiful atmosphere. I wasn't wowed by the food though. It was just ok and especially for the price point it is a bit disappointing. The calamari was really tasty but only a very small portion for one person is really all it was. They don't offer fountain sodas just cans I love the bubbly carbonation so that was a let down as well. The pizza was good nothing special but nothing we ever need to go back for. A lack of coordination between hostess and staff. The brussel sprouts were swimming in oil. Only a few of them had any crisp leaves which is what I enjoy from a brussel sprout appetizer.
