    Mushroom pizza

This was our first time at the Cavsson location. We made a reservation so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I ordered the pick 2 for $15 and chose the chop salad and a slice of pizza. The salad was just okay. It comes out in a smaller bowl, so it was kind of hard to mix it around. However, the pizza was great! They let you choose from any of the pizzas on the menu. My friend ordered the Caprese salad with chicken, and she said it was pretty good. She did mention the chicken was a bit salty and when she tried the little breadsticks cracker things she couldn't eat them because they were hard as a rock. Maybe they're just meant to be decorative? Overall, everything was good. The only thing that we did notice was that everything came out at different times. Nothing came out together, but they were communicative and they did let us know that they were working on it. I was just kind of surprised though because they weren't very busy at all. Very nice location though.

We sat outside, the road noise was super minimal so the sunshine was awesome! My breakfast Sammy was SO BOMB! I mean look at this pic! Our server, I wish I remembered her name! She was Spot ON! Definitely try their breakfast! We have had numerous other bites here in different occasions. Add it to your list!

Food is decent, view is so nice, service is good. We started with the calamari which was really overcooked. My kids enjoyed their food and it honestly looked good. My crab cake salad was good along. My husband said his chicken sandwich was good but on the dry side. We got our refills and even drinks to go. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. 3.5 stars from me

We had great service and delicious food. The bees were out of control, but otherwise the vibes are great.

This place is great. Right off the freeway nestled in a corporate business center. The indoor/outdoor vibe for a sports bar is vibrant. I have been here twice now. Once for a happy hour with coworkers then a corporate party. Both times I have to say staff was on it. The service was perfect both times. I feel like it's a team environment there. No matter which service approaches you they are always smiling and friendly. The food is amazing. The whole presentation is right in line with the quality taste of the food. A wonderful variety of options from good to drinks. I'm not a person who drinks alcohol but my friends and coworkers do. They are all impressed with the options on the drink menu. For us non drinkers I am pleased too. There is bar seating, table seating, indoor and outdoor patio. I would definitely host another event there. I have faith in the service and Ty good tasty food.

I went to Pitch with a friend on a Wednesday for their happy hour. There is plenty of parking available in the parking garage nearby. There was plenty of seating available when I arrived and I chose to sit at the bar to admire the view of the mountains. This view was a highlight of my visit to Pitch! We received great service when sitting at the bar and enjoyed the Happy Hour deals. We both ordered pieces of pizza and they were tasty! I can't wait to visit Pitch again.

Enjoyed a nice happy hour with friends at this location. It has a nice, open feel, with a lot of table options for small and larger gatherings. The food was decent, but even the Happy Hour food was a bit expensive. However, our servers were attentive and quick to help us. I'd definitely go back.

-First, be forewarned that if you order the artichokes, this is the dish you will receive. - Second, Do not expect any refills on your drink because everything is out of a can. - third, do NOT, under any circumstances expect quality service or food from this establishment. My husband and I walked in at approximately 8:20 on a Friday night to a sign that said to please wait to be seated. There was no hostess, no server, no manager, just an empty foyer. After flagging down what we thought was a hostess (she wasn't, she was the manager) and being seated in anearly empty restaurant, we were effectively ignored by our waitress, except for directly taking our order and answering one question about a salad dressing for the next 30 minutes, and then charged $33 by the manager because we were unhappy and wanted to leave. We did not eat our salad, our appetizer came out out of order (we never touched it , but were forced to pay for it), and our full appetizer and most of our salad were still sitting on the table when our pizza came. **NO ONE CHECKED ON US** However, we were charged for everything but the salad. After a confrontation with the manager and our waitress twice, we finally earned the right to leave after giving them our credit card and having two cardboard boxes shoved into our faces, containing the pizzas that seem to be made of the same material as the box. Just in case you would like to know, this is what $8 worth of a slice of pizza at Pitch looks like. If you value service, food quality, ambiance, atmosphere, personality or agreeability, your money is best spent elsewhere.

My sister has been talking about getting me to Pitch for months now. She's been a few times and raves about it and how it is consistently good. So after a day of shopping we stopped by for late lunch. The atmosphere is great. It's an open concept with garage style doors/windows and beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains and Pinnacle Peak. Also, walking into a mountain of stacked whiskeys is great marketing. I promptly ordered an Old Fashioned. There were so many pizza options, but the Bianco Verde was calling my name. I love when prosciutto and arugula partner on a pizza, and this one also had bakehouse onions, thyme cream, ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella. Delish! The Buffalo cauliflower app is a fave of my sister's, so we dipped into that right away with the accompanying foccacia. My mom's Monte Cristo was a breakfast version with egg, and it was huge. The thai peanut wings, from the appetizer menu, was my sister's entree choice and they were so tasty with a hoison glaze. My daughter chose chicken and waffles, and while it was a large and delicious choice, it was also quite an expensive kid menu option at $18. So I felt less guilty when we all stole bites. We have some gone back again for brunch outside in the patio. It was quite bright without shades up but still a nice spot. After three rounds of Bloody Mary's, I think it's safe to say that they're good. Overall, each visit we had way too much food and could have shared, but the menu was so good that we wanted to try it all. The open atmosphere and mountain views were refreshing. It's a great spot that I admit to have slept on for too long.

Super lowkey place. Very nice layout and spacious. The service is great! I had a slice of Thai pizza and garlic fries. Very yummy. The drinks were also great!

Focaccia and meatball sauce (added a meatball)

My husband and I met some friends at Pitch for dinner on a Saturday - it was pretty busy but we had a reservation, which worked out perfectly. My husband ordered the Mia pizza which has sausage and pepperoni. Surprisingly it was happy hour all day, so I ended up ordering the focaccia and sauce and the bolognese fries. The pizza was pretty standard but not super standard out. The focaccia and sauce was nothing special either. The bolognese fries were just as imagined as well - some bolognese sauce (thought the dish couldn't used more sauce) and ricotta on some skinny fries. I've been to the pitch in Omaha and for some reason I think that one stood out more than this location.

Where things really took a turn was the food. I was so hoping I found a new staple in our walkable restaurants list but the food was mostly disappointing. We liked our fairly standard French onion soup and Caesar salad. The shrimp cocktail were not good at all. Shrimp was tough and mealy. They marinate them with a bunch of herbs. Maybe that caused the unpleasant texture? On top of that, I did not like the herbs used in the marinade. Good shrimp cocktail stands on its own! I should also add that these were $7/each. A week later I had the most amazing shrimp cocktail - tender and sweet and almost double the size for $4/each. I don't mind paying $7. I've paid $13 each for good shrimp cocktail. Just a lot of money to spend on something so disappointing. Our sea bass was also tough. Flavor was okay. The piece was fairly thin - possibly why it was overcooked? For those who love sea bass, I suggest checking it out at SumoMaya or Dominick's. Can't be beat! Sadly, I don't think we'll be back. Too many other excellent options nearby.

You know you are in for a true fine dining experience. We started off with some cocktails and I was very impressed with the clear ice cube in my Smokey Old Fashioned as it was branded with the "Toro" logo. It was so smooth and probably the best Old Fashioned I ever had, so I had 3 more! My wife throughly enjoyed her Espresso Martinis also. I started off with the Grilled Octopus and nearly cried because it was so good. This is a food favorite of mine and although I love the flavors, most restaurants over cook it and you need to cut it with a steak knife. Not this dish, no knife necessary, your fork will do. So tender, so flavorful, so amazingly delicious. The Mrs. ordered the crispy calamari and was thoroughly impressed as the texture was what fresh calamari should be and not the rubbery texture you get from 8 out of 10 other places. Seasoned to perfection with spices but not overly spicy. My wife can't bear spicy anymore , but she really enjoyed it. I finished it for her of course, because she always remembers to leave room for desert and never finishes anything. And I'm glad because I always get to taste her meals too. It's a win-win for me! I then had an off-the-hook Ceviches that rivaled my own. I am also a part-time cook and also wrote a cookbook. Ceviche is a particular dish that I compare to other restaurants and until now, never found another place that compares to mine. Toro doesn't disappoint my friends. Now for the entrée, Lomo Saltado for myself and a medium rare Ribeye for the Mrs. The Lomo Saltado was beef tenderloin on creamy rice, crispy potato, heirloom tomato, bell peppers, Rocoto Aioli and a Chifa Soy Sauce. It was mouth watering. The beef tenderloin was cooked a little on the well done side, but my bad for not specifying to cook it medium rare. It was still amazing and not a big enough deal to even mention it in the review, but I just want you to specify your preference when you order yours. My wife had the 14 Oz. Ribeye, medium rare ( she thought it was also medium but I found it to be medium rare myself) it was soooo good. She had a side dish of Crispy Brussels sprouts that were unworldy. We never had Brussels sprouts that good, it must be the sherry vinagrette and cotija cheese. Unreal. I had a side of shishito peppers that made my heart happy. My favorite peppers are not usually available everywhere so it was a real bonus to the meal. Desert, well the desert was worth the wait. We both ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. It is a dark purple colored slice of heaven with masa crumble, Yuzu espuma and coconut jam. The presentation was stunning. We even enjoyed espresso with sambucca to finish our dining experience. How many places offer espresso on their menu just to inform you the espresso machine isn't working? Just another bonus for us. Price wise, what you would expect for a high-end restaurant in a beautiful resort area of Scottsdale, no sticker shock there, but still, I'd save this place as a never can fail go to for a first date, anniversary, job promotion, marriage proposal, special occasion restaurant. They also do breakfast, brunch, lunch and Happy Hour. I hope you get to experience this place at least once. Put it on your bucket list, you'll be glad you did!

The service was top tier. I wish customer service like this existed everywhere. Hannah was outstanding. She was welcoming, attentive, and helped make our night even more enjoyable. She didn't linger but somehow always knew when to check back on us as soon as we needed something. We're always weary of trying out a new restaurant for the first time but dinner was spectacular. Everything we ordered was so delicious and cooked to delectable perfection. High compliments to the chef! Appetizer: Warm Bread Basket - A must have! The bread was so scrumptious that it doesn't even need the delicious whipped butter. But the butter was so amazing it was hard not to smother every morsel of bread with it. Fantastic appetizer option. Entrees: 1/2lb Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs - Served with perfectly cooked asparagus, potatoes, and the usual side of melted butter. My wife said the butter that the crab is cooked in/served with was so phenomenal that she didn't have the need to dip into the side butter. I chose this restaurant because my wife loves crab legs and these absolutely delivered. The meat was sweet and succulent, and most importantly, they tasted fresh! Filet Mignon (8oz) - Delicious and perfectly seasoned! Exactly cooked how my wife ordered it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow Bend Lamb - I can't rave enough about how exquisite this was. I was worried the chops were going to be too large but the portion size was spot on to my liking. The roasted garlic thyme jus it's served with is rich, savory, and a great compliment to the tender and juicy chop. I would order this again and again. Sides: Parmesan Truffle Fries and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots - It's hard to mess up a potato but somehow Ocean Prime was able to make it even more delicious. The fries had a perfect balance of crisp and tender, and the parmesan truffle flavor was the cherry on top. Wonderful aftertaste and surprisingly pairs well with crab legs. The tots had a perfect crisp exterior and a fluffy inside. The offerings are generous so 1 side would suffice for 2 people. Every bite was scrumptious and a definite recommend for the table. Cocktails: My wife also had the Berries & Bubbles cocktail. Well, it was so yummy that she had 2 of them. I had a sip and although I'm not a vodka fan, I can attest that it was indeed yummy. The dry ice is a nice touch and adds to the beauty and appeal of this drink. The drink is poured at the table (Hannah is clearly a pro at it). It was like a dinner and a show! Dessert: We were offered to choose a dessert on-the-house to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Warm Butter Cake for the table and a Chocolate Torte to go. Hannah was kind enough to comp both of them for us! The Warm Butter Cake was AMAZING! From the delicious ice cream served on top to the gooey buttery velvety center of the cake with a perfectly crisped edge, it was everything you'd want in a dessert and more. I'm sure it's the star of the dessert menu. I've yet to make it to the torte but I've no doubt I'll be swimming in chocolatey goodness when I do. Lastly, I had flowers delivered to the restaurant to surprise my wife, and I asked if they would please have them set at the table prior to our arrival. They were able to receive the delivery before opening time and were placed perfectly in the middle of our table (booth seating). I'm so grateful for how they accommodated my request and helped me execute a wonderful surprise that gained a beautiful smile from my wife. 10/10 experience. Five stars all across the board. The Lobster croissant was interesting, the lobster itself was so juicy and buttery, I didn't care much for the croissant or shrimp on it. The caviar chips were good but I wouldn't order them again, it was more chips than anything else. The drinks were sooooo good! If you don't know what to order the staff is very knowledgeable and can help guide you. A message for the owners: I absolutely love the concept! You two are extraordinary and I hope you don't change a thing at either of your restaurants. All of them are fantastic. The quality of food is outstanding and the way you train your staff is beyond amazing.

Drove all the way from Gilbert to try this place with some friends. Been to Humble Bistro and loved…read moreit so assumed this place it would be great too. What a disappointment. Service was so slow and it wasn't busy for a Friday night in August. It took 15 minutes for my friends to be greeted and get their drinks. It was so hot inside and we all were sweating. They needed to lower the AC. My friends got the burger and scallops. I ordered the tuna tostadas. Their food was brought but mine was missing. My friends waited for me to get my food before they started eating. It took ten min to get my tostadas meanwhile we're trying to find our server who was nowhere to be found. My friend's meals were cold by then. We weren't checked on and just ate since we couldn't locate our server. We paid our bill and we needed water. The server grabbed our checks and we never saw him again. The service staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and it showed. Ambiance was nice and trendy. Maybe it was an off night but it was not worth the commute or money.
