This was our first time at the Cavsson location. We made a reservation so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I ordered the pick 2 for $15 and chose the chop salad and a slice of pizza. The salad was just okay. It comes out in a smaller bowl, so it was kind of hard to mix it around. However, the pizza was great! They let you choose from any of the pizzas on the menu. My friend ordered the Caprese salad with chicken, and she said it was pretty good. She did mention the chicken was a bit salty and when she tried the little breadsticks cracker things she couldn't eat them because they were hard as a rock. Maybe they're just meant to be decorative? Overall, everything was good. The only thing that we did notice was that everything came out at different times. Nothing came out together, but they were communicative and they did let us know that they were working on it. I was just kind of surprised though because they weren't very busy at all. Our experience at Pitch was mid. We chose this restaurant for lunch with family. The service is just okay, our server forgot about us for most of our visit even though the restaurant was almost empty. The Proteina pizza was pretty good - nice strong crust that you could fold!Had plenty of toppings as well. The Caesar Salad had mostly yellow lettuce and did not have much dressing at all. The shoestring fries were AWESOME! The restaurant itself is really loud, and I could see it being hard to hear people once it gets busy. read more

First impression if your into whiskeys and bourbons etc, great place. Interior is like walking into a keg. Lots of alcohol on display for purchase. Met the gfs for HH. Took a couple try's to get my Cosmo martini right but finally did. I did not eat. My friends did. They liked the food. Food looked good. Food looked good. We sat on the patio as my gf brought her new puppy. Patio area was gross. That concrete is in dire need of a good scrub down. No fans or misting system for summer coming. That's disappointing because my friends like to sit on patios. Overall, I will not come back just not my kind of vibe like I said if you're into the whiskey and bourbon, you'll probably love it. I was just turned off with the patio area being so gross mainly under the tables where food spills and people's feet are and dogs are laying. This place is great. Right off the freeway nestled in a corporate business center. The indoor/outdoor vibe for a sports bar is vibrant. I have been here twice now. Once for a happy hour with coworkers then a corporate party. Both times I have to say staff was on it. The service was perfect both times. I feel like it's a team environment there. No matter which service approaches you they are always smiling and friendly. The food is amazing. The whole presentation is right in line with the quality taste of the food. A wonderful variety of options from good to drinks. I'm not a person who drinks alcohol but my friends and coworkers do. They are all impressed with the options on the drink menu. For us non drinkers I am pleased too. There is bar seating, table seating, indoor and outdoor patio. I would definitely host another event there. I wanted to try somewhere new outside of our neighborhood for brunch on Sunday. Pitch looked interesting so I said let's go for it. Cozy ambiance, sort of elevated casual. Plenty of TVs and all of them had different sports on (which was nice.) The cocktail menu is organized really well and has a million drinks and I can't wait to try every single one of them haha. The brunch menu had good variety. Our server Bri was really really nice and informative and patient -- and all the staff seemed welcoming and friendly. I want to give this place a 5 but the food was basically a 3 -- I want to go back and try different menu items and then we'll see. But the service was a 5 and the drinks menu was a 5 so... Bri -- thanks for making our visit so awesome. She really went the extra mile and sparked joy in us. We hosted a fundraiser here for our kids' school and it was incredible. Pitch is easily one of the best restaurants in Scottsdale for hosting a private event. Dean, Bridget and the entire staff were amazing to work with. Everything was easy, organized and they truly cared about making it a great event. The feedback from our parent community was all the same. The atmosphere was on point, the food was incredible and the drinks were amazing. I went to Pitch with a friend on a Wednesday for their happy hour. There is plenty of parking available in the parking garage nearby. There was plenty of seating available when I arrived and I chose to sit at the bar to admire the view of the mountains. This view was a highlight of my visit to Pitch! My husband and I walked in at approximately 8:20 on a Friday night to a sign that said to please wait to be seated. There was no hostess, no server, no manager, just an empty foyer. After flagging down what we thought was a hostess (she wasn't, she was the manager) and being seated in anearly empty restaurant, we were effectively ignored by our waitress, except for directly taking our order and answering one question about a salad dressing for the next 30 minutes, and then charged $33 by the manager because we were unhappy and wanted to leave. We did not eat our salad, our appetizer came out out of order (we never touched it , but were forced to pay for it), and our full appetizer and most of our salad were still sitting on the table when our pizza came. **NO ONE CHECKED ON US** However, we were charged for everything but the salad. After a confrontation with the manager and our waitress twice, we finally earned the right to leave after giving them our credit card and having two cardboard boxes shoved into our faces, containing the pizzas that seem to be made of the same material as the box. Just in case you would like to know, this is what $8 worth of a slice of pizza at Pitch looks like. My sister has been talking about getting me to Pitch for months now. She's been a few times and raves about it and how it is consistently good. So after a day of shopping we stopped by for late lunch. The atmosphere is great. It's an open concept with garage style doors/windows and beautiful views of the McDowell Mountains and Pinnacle Peak. Also, walking into a mountain of stacked whiskeys is great marketing. I promptly ordered an Old Fashioned. There were so many pizza options, but the Bianco Verde was calling my name. I love when prosciutto and arugula partner on a pizza, and this one also had bakehouse onions, thyme cream, ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella. Delish! The Buffalo cauliflower app is a fave of my sister's, so we dipped into that right away with the accompanying foccacia. My mom's Monte Cristo was a breakfast version with egg, and it was huge. The thai peanut wings, from the appetizer menu, was my sister's entree choice and they were so tasty with a hoison glaze. My daughter chose chicken and waffles, and while it was a large and delicious choice, it was also quite an expensive kid menu option at $18. So I felt less guilty when we all stole bites. We have some gone back again for brunch outside in the patio. It was quite bright without shades up but still a nice spot. After three rounds of Bloody Mary's, I think it's safe to say that they're good. Overall, each visit we had way too much food and could have shared, but the menu was so good that we wanted to try it all. The open atmosphere and mountain views were refreshing. The pizza was pretty standard but not super standard out. The focaccia and sauce was nothing special either. The bolognese fries were just as imagined as well - some bolognese sauce (thought the dish couldn't used more sauce) and ricotta on some skinny fries. As my kids say, this place is (can be) "mid". The last 3 times we have gone there, we had to track down a host or hostess to seat us. This is at like 6:45 each time. Then, nobody comes to the table for like 10-15 minutes until I start asking who our server is. Once you actually get service, the food and drink is actually pretty good. They just don't value customers coming in, clearly. They seem annoyed, almost. If it wasn't for them being so conveniently located to me, I'd never go back, but I really want this place to succeed because we need places with this vibe and menu in the area. Just usually left disappointed here, and it has nothing to do with the food or drinks. One day I'll probably just stop coming and go to a better place and wait for the crowd. We've been coming to Pitch for years... the food and service is always excellent, so when it came time for planning my husbands surprise birthday dinner, I knew where we wanted to go. Dean, Bridget, and Chloe were absolutely AMAZING in getting a speciality menu created with our theme and my husband's favorites from their menu and even a few upgrades that were off the menu. Day of: I was able to go in and add some decor to match our theme and their team always jumps in to help. The service when we all arrived was over the top. We had two wait staff for 20 of us and our drinks were always filled and the dinner service was perfect with our 4 course meal. Pizza which I didn't try because I had no room due to the absolute best shrimp scampi with homemade pasta for $27! The specialty margaritas were so fun - carrot ginger and mescal passionfruit - amazing ! It's hard to be creative and unique in the incredible competitive Scottsdale market and Pitch really brought it . Pitch has a beautiful interior and an enjoyable atmosphere but our visit had several negative points. First, it is comically overpriced. For example, getting a gluten-free pizza is an $8 surcharge. That's awfully high when the vast majority of places I've been to charge between $2-4 for the same, for much larger pizzas. If a frozen pizza crust costs you an extra $8, just imagine what a sandwich runs. Service here can be very hit or miss. Due to a busy place and no reservations, we got quickly seated at the bar and got drinks quickly. Once we got seated at a table, we waited 20 minutes before a server even came with water. Our particular server may have been a trainee but they had absolutely no knowledge or command of the menu, of food allergy issues, and unfortunately was bumblingly, awkwardly slow on their iPad. However, once our order was in, we got our food fairly quickly, service was attentive thereafter, and the food was pretty tasty. Nevertheless, the menu here is convoluted with far too many choices and prices that don't match up to the overall experience unless you're really into the decor and style of the place. This was our 3rd and last time here. For some reason, the service is always poor, specifically, disorganized and confused wait staff, without a manager in sight. They brought my wife's salad out 10 minutes before my sandwich was served. The place wasn't that busy that they couldn't have prepared our orders so they came out at the same time. Finally, the crab cake sandwich that they served me was horrible (I should have said something, but the services was so bad, I didn't feel like bothering). It felt and tasted like it was a frozen cake that they let defrost, then briefly seared on a flat top - very soggy and flavorless. The fries were excellent and the salad was acceptable. Finally, and this is what compelled me to write this review. I received the bill, checked it for accuracy and gave them my credit card. When I received the credit card statement to tip and sign, I noticed that the total amount was slightly higher than the original bill that I received (which included sales tax). They snuck on a surcharge of a $1.45 without notice or explanation. It's not the $1.45 that bothered me so much, it was how sneaky and underhanded they were about it, very unprofessional. read more

Have come a couple of times for lunch and have really liked it! The ambiance inside is very cool. The inside is darker and more intimate but a good vibe. Some TVs spread throughout that have sports on. Not a overly large spot, though it does have outdoor seating and a bar, too. The food here is very well made. Everything I've tried has been delicious. The Pick 2 with a slice of pizza and salad is a great lunch portion. Absolutely recommend the Buffalo Chicken slice of pizza. Just wow! And the service is excellent here.
