I have to give it 5 stars because it was excellent. Yes there was a line and it took 20 minutes to get through it- but schools were closed so I think that may have swelled the crowd. Point being that they were adequately staffed and did well. The food is good - certainly a notch above the local pizza shop and it works well in the Gucci sections of town. I have always enjoyed going to Pyro's. Some of the best pizza in Collierville and always seems to run smoothly. You get to customize your own pizza, so your order being wrong is essentially not even an option. You pick your own topping. The ONLY thing I can say wrong with the cooking of the pizza is that they tend to leave it on the stone a little bit too long and it seems to always be black on the bottom but that would be my only complaint. I have ordered online for pickup twice, and Pyros is 0-2. Basically, it works like this- you order online, show up to the pickup area 15 minutes later, they give you an excuse for why they have not yet started your order, they wait about 10 minutes to start the order, put it together in a few minutes and queue it up to wait in front of an empty oven. Eventually, the pizza goes into the oven, is cooked and removed so that it has plenty of time to cool off before being placed in the box to wait another 3-4 minutes on the other pizza in the order. Two tries, two 50 minute orders, and nothing but excuses from the teens that work there. I guess the owner must not come around very often, because they do not value customers whatsoever. read more

We've been to this Pyros location at least three times in the past month and I could not be more pleased with the food or service. It's not truly fast food, but it is truly oven roasted and consistently tasty. Today our party spilled a drink and then accidentally broke a shaker of red pepper flakes on the floor and the manager was so easy going while he cleaned up the messes. Pyro's offers something for pretty much everyone. You can make your own pizza, make your own salad, or make a small one of each. There are tons of toppings, and theirs always look fresh. I enjoy the BBQ pizza (meat is very good) and the Lambert's peach iced tea. Food here is significantly better prepared than at its sister location in East Memphis. Only gripe, and this is pretty big, is that I had my dog with me on the patio, and a staff member came outside and told me I had to leave or put her up because dogs on the patio were a health code violation. This was the first time in 4 years of living in Memphis that this has happened, and I have taken her to dozens of Memphis restaurant patios. read more

The food at Pryos is good but the management at this location is horrible. Sunday night the drink machine did not have ice for 10 minutes and when they brought out ice in buckets, to pour in the machine , the buckets where sitting in some nasty water. So when they poured the ice in the drink machine the nasty water on the outside and bottom of the buckets just mixed in with the ice. Unbelievable, and the manager had no clue and was too busy running the cash register. We ordered an appetizer and we got it after the pizza. I watched the manager take it and just sit it aside. I had to go get our food because, once again the manager was not managing anything. Also most of the tables where dirty and nobody was cleaning them. Oh my gosh, Im addicted to this place. Love the spicy sauce and vegetable options. It really satisfies while feeling like you are eating somewhat healthy. The managers and employees are very friendly and helpful, the only problem I've had is it seems understaffed, especially at lunch. That's the only reason I give it a four. Went to Pyro's in Collierville last night. My wife got a salad and was happy with it. I got a pizza and was not. The crust was fine, but the cheese etc. was lukewarm, just barely warm enough to eat. I guess that I should have sent it back.I know that they are trying to serve you quickly, but I would be willing to wait a little longer for a hot pizza. The service was fine but the people who prepare the pizzas seemed to have a hard time enunciating properly.My wife and I couldn't understand what they were saying when we approached the counter. To me, they were mumbling. After several tries we worked out what we wanted. Not a terrible experience but it could have been much better. read more

My family loves the pyro's in Collierville, we have always had great experiences until recently. I give the store and most of the employees five stars. Unfortunately, we have had a few very bad experiences lately. My children and I witnessed the manager Michael speaking terribly to the young man with long hair that was working the oven along with other employees. My family will not be back in there while he works there and that is sad because we come in several times a week all the way from Olive branch. Tanya and Traci are wonderful and always so accommodating. We really hope that we will be able to go back to our family's favorite restaurant again someday. I was really excited to try this new Pyro's franchise in Collierville. I like the concept of being able to choose your toppings and your sauces while you are in line. I ordered a full size pizza with tomato sauce and cheese. I was very disappointed that the pizza crust was very soggy and undercooked. The cheese was barely melted. It was essentially inedible. However, on the bright side, I loved the build your own salad. The lettuce was obviously the pre packaged variety but it tasted fine and it appeared to be fresh. I loved the choice of maybe 20 different toppings and therefor countless combinations and possibilities for your salad. I tried two of the dressings and they were both delicious. The restaurant had many staff members present however most of the tables were unclean . Most of the staff were hovering behind the food line and I only saw one girl trying to keep up with clearing tables in the dining room. I would go back for a salad to go but not for pizza . I suggest they add croutons as a salad topping. They have a great variety of toppings but no croutons. What is up with that? I know the restaurant is new and perhaps they are still getting organized and trained. Let's hope it improves in time. read more

This place is awesome if you like thin crust pizza! It's like a Chipotle in that you pick what you want for your pizza and they make it and cook it. It is delicious! They also have good looking salads if that's your thing. Beer and wine available as well. We will definitely be back!
