After many attempts I was always turned away and told to come back "tomorrow " I arrived at about 1:45 and he said no problem and started my transmission service immediately! This is still one of the best and most affordable mechanics around!! Still same father and son duo. Oil changes are now $30. Just got my oil change done at 730am! CASH ONLY PLACE! Changing control arms or changing a rack & pinion (for Toyota) are around $250-$300 which is ten fold more affordable than anywhere else. They're great and honest people. Only thing they don't do would be alignments but they can seriously do everything else. Keep in mind - they only take cash. No credit card and no checks etc. CASH only. They're super quick and inflate your tires during the oil change too. They don't do big jobs on Saturdays. Big jobs are usually weekdays only. Weekends usually are for oil changes and brake related services. But engine stuff and suspension stuff are usually for weekdays only. Still one of my fav mechanics !!! read more

I find them to be incredibly honest. I am one of those lazy women that you could easily rip off because I just wanna get everything done while I'm actually there. But he will tell me no you don't need an I will change today no you don't. You're too early to do whatever service all the time you don't need it come back in another 5000 miles or 3000 miles and the prices are fair incredibly fair. I had some engine issues. I took it to the dealership and they were gonna charge me $3000 more. Dealerships will always try to charge you but then they attach on so many incidentals that you don't need. read more

I went here earlier today for a simple brake pad replacement. I bought the pads myself and the mechanic (younger guy named Vin?) was cool with replacing them and quoted $45 for the service fee. Other shops either charged $50-100 for service or refused to use the pads I already bought. The job took only 30-60 min. I completely forgot that they only took cash and only had $40 on me. Vin was so cool about it and said not to worry about the remaining $5, so ima pull up tomorrow with a fat tip for him. It's almost expected for mechanics to upsell you unless you either have a rapport, know about cars, or explicitly request for one job, but even then you have to be mindful of shoddy work. Not only did this guy give me a discount on a very reasonably priced quote, he replaced my brakes quickly and hassle free. This shop is a smaller, family owned business so I feel even better about supporting them and look forward to coming here in the future. read more

My family has been going here for years. They're happy with John, his son Vinh is taking over. And I've taken my car in here for an oil change a couple times in the past year when I'm in GG visiting my folks - and I always tell them I'm on a time crunch usually and they've always been very accommodating. And I like the fact that I never get the impression that they are trying to up-sell me, use unscrupulous scare tactics to get me to do XYZ. As a matter of fact I once had to get something replaced for my car that my dealer said was not included in my warranty. My dad said to take my car over to John to see and John told me how much the parts was going to be and how much labor was and he confirmed that I needed it replaced but that I would be better off getting it done directly through my dealer because he said the price difference doesn't seem to be that much (he was a little less expensive) but he said that he thinks I would be better off having the dealer do it. He totally could have tried to just get me to get it done through him, but I appreciated the fact that he was honest and not greedy. I'm a fan! They do not accept checks or credit cards. Ok, so I don't know WHY I'm doing this... but I am letting my fellow yelpers in on the best deal they could possibly get on an Oil Change. 20 bucks my friend, gets you an oil change up to 4 qts., filter change, and air pumped into your tires... all for 20 bucks and you're in and out in less than 20 mins. No coupon or taxes or any other mumbo jumbo. (SUV's such as Yukon XL's etc., are $25, and if you want Mobil 1 oil its an extra $15 which lasts twice as long), its up to you and your budget. Service is fast and to the point. They don't try to sell you anything else unless there really IS something wrong with your car, in that case, you should probably get it fixed but he'll let you know if it's in dire need of repair so you don't get frazzled over the costs (everything is cheap here btw cuz he gets all the parts at a wholesale price)... Owner might not be the best at speaking English(luckily I speak Vietnamese as well), so just let him know what your car needs and he'll get it done for you! Be simple and straight forward. No need to go anywhere else! I'm so glad my bf showed me this place. It's worth every penny and they do a superb job! read more

As independent as I think I am, when it comes to the auto shops, it's where I draw the line. As a girl I always feel as if they see us as money bags and rip you off because of the lack of knowledge. I've had my fair shares of these experiences and when I get home, my dad gets upset because I've over paid. The dude I use to go to is nice but every time I go in for an oil change, the prices seem to jump every single time. My uncle recommended me coming here so I thought I would give it a try. Everyone was really nice the first time I came and I thought it was maybe because my uncle put in a call saying that I was on my way for an oil change- the young gentleman helped me and it was half the cost of what my old mechanic use to charge! Today was the second time as I was in need of an oil change and wanted them to check my breaks. I came at 7:30am and was the first one there and it was all done in under 25 mins! The owner checked my breaks and said they were fine but suggested that I rotate my tires and showed me why. Never tries to sell you excess and is very quick. $20 for a basic oil change and $40 for the better stuff. As noted, the head mechanic doesn't speak great English, but luckily, his son started working there so the communication is better.
