I think I love this place more than it loves me. The food is delicious. For the past 5 months I've noticed The staff just isn't too friendly to me ..every-time I come in. I feel rushed out. Like can I order more than one drink? How do you guys expect to make Money? Idk Maybe I don't fit the criteria or ideal customer....i tend to look over dressed because I come straight from work.... And just wanna have some food... i have decided to just go Home and change and be more casual to fit the vibe but nothing works... still treated like my business isn't wanted.. Which sucks because I leave my 20% every time. And again love the food! I always come back for the chicharrones, the wings are delicious.. i love the Ruben .. the burgers and the fish fry makes me happy. Plus I like the blue cheese there. First time back to this Q Bar since before the Covid-19... their food has always been awesome for whatever time of day. They've done well to control rising prices, they're still affordable. I love their Friday Fish Fry. It's awesome. Great flavor in the breading of the fish, the Cole Slaw is very tasty, and the service is awesome! I highly recommend this Q Bar location. We have been here a quite a few times since the Qbar on 67th and Olive closed down.. we have always had a great experience and good food and service.. it's been about 3 months since we went on a Friday for the fish fry so we stopped in on the 11th and ordered the fish us both a beer and water.. not sure what has changed but it was a terrible experience, food was great but service needed a lot of attention, we had to flag down our server each time we needed something or more fish mind you it's was 3 pm not to busy yet. Chuck gives a history of his flying as well as his history of the place and the taxidermy of animals in his bar. He owns two of these bars. So awesome to talk to and listen to Chuck's stories. Lisa: I'm just telling you what we saw and tasted. The chicken was stringy and fibrous and had a strange taste. The burger meat was GRAY and LOOKED like it had bread crumbs in it and almost tasted spoiled. If you're getting high-quality meat then you better be having a talk with your supplier. So, here I am updating. My grandma went there the other day and it was all your can eat fish, for 18 dollars. The manager there was rude to her. My grandma can't eat a lot so she puts some in a napkin. The manager, being nosy and staring my grandma down, told the waitresses that my grandma and grandpa they couldn't get anymore fish! WHEN ITS ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH. She wasn't told that they couldn't take it home. Omg I do not know where to start. I am from NJ always looking for good seafood. I have been in some 5 star seafood restaurants in the valley. I came here to have a Burger but when I saw the menu. It said it had scallops. I said that's weird for a bar and grill scallops. Really? So I said what the heck? If I don't like it, I'll just throw it away. I ordered the scallops. I ordered a 1/2 a pound of the seared and a 1/2 a pound of the fried. Hands down, no lie, the seared scallops are to die for a must have at The Other Q. I will tell you you will not regret it. I moved to Phoenix about 3 months ago. I came up every Sunday since I moved here. The Q for breakfast quickly became a staple of mine. I knew no one in town, but I could count on the Sunday breakfast at the Q to meet with some of the great people I have met there. Unfortunately, the Q stopped serving breakfast on Sundays. The group I used to meet up with there, every sunday, Unfortunately had to find a new place to have a drink, a laugh, and breakfast to eat on a lazy Sunday morning. This used to be my favorite spot for Sunday drinks and breakfast with my friends. We got there Sunday to find that they have changed their hours AND stopped serving breakfast all together! It seems that they have made cuts in staff as well because ONE bartender was responsible for the entire bar- inside and outside. The poor girl seemed overwhelmed with good reason. Food was great. The club sammich was exactly what I needed for this visit. My buddies had a rib eye steak sammich and a pastrami sammich. Both very well enjoyed service was immediate and delivery of food was quick as well. Ambiance is also great if you enjoy a good bar hangout. Surrounded by stuffed game of deer and other animals, the place is really great to hang out for a party and enjoy some drinks. I used to frequent this bar quite often but then these restrictions happened after the first lock down. I for one know the liquor laws by heart . There are so many illegal things that go on in that place. Not long ago I went to say hi to the girls, and I was getting people to sign the petition to reopen the local class 6/7 bars. The owner had me removed from the premises because I was hurting her people and her bar. Witch never happened mind you. If you didn't want to sign it, you didn't have to. Great food, but poor moral character. I just paid $15.95 for what was supposed to be 10oz of walleye. What I got was about 4oz of walleye. I pointed this out to the waitress and she agreed, but said there was nothing she could do. The cook told me in Spanglish that it was ten ounces and then laughed knowingly about it as if it were a joke. There was no manager to be found. The other Q has changed over the years. The service and quality has dropped significantly, but outright misrepresentation and poor scruples are just unnacceptable. We went on a Saturday night about 6:30PM and it was very slow. Went today for lunch on the my friend and I's Burger Tour of Phoenix. I actually regret it. The food was not great. I got the Q Burger which comes with green chili and swiss. I thought it sounded good but NOPE. The green chili was really dry and unflavorful. The onions overpowered the green chili which was a major problem. The fries tasted like they were frozen in a bag then fried. For just drinks maybe you can go here on a budget and I guess have fun but I would say you would have to be a redneck to do that. They have dead animals all over and on tv there was tractor pulls on. read more
