So happy to have found this spot. I've been looking for a great lemon chicken since super dragon closed and finally I've found it. The menu is large and they have great lunch specials. As with any place named after my favorite fruit I had to try the lychee martini and it didn't disappoint. They have multiple people working each table so the service is fast and always there before you need it. It's not super large but can withstand the busy lunch crowds. Great find, late opening and two happy hours! Went late Saturday and was very surprised at the crowded restaurant and happy Hour prices after 8. We ordered a combination of dishes and sushi, everything turned out great. The restaurant has several menus to look at, theres a hidden Chinese menu too that has squid and Jalapeños, something to try on the next visit. Thoroughly recommend the House Rice Noodle bow and the Hawaiian Sushi roll of spicy Tuna, 12 pieces! Yum As crowded as the restaurant was, the food was delivered quickly. Came in for a solo lunch outing during the Super Bowl Sunday game. I've been here dozens of times and I already know the food is good. Today I ordered the sweet and sour fish with a non alcoholic ginger beer. Food was exceptional like always. Service was prompt and very accommodating. The good thing is I was watching the game on their big screen and it was awesome. Very chill and cool Chinese food spot, highly recommend. Lychee Kitchen does a lot of things well! First, the service is great. Staff is ready to help, responsive, attentive, and quick. The restaurant is clean and and tidy. Food comes really quickly and is very hot like it just came off the wok. While there are some Chinese style take out dishes that are very good, I wouldn't say that across the board with every dish. I think some dishes are better than other so it's worth trying from their expansive menu. A lot of their dishes use a brown sauce so you'll find it in a lot of gravy heavy dishes like stir fry. The only downside is that the sauce is very sweet, like almost distractingly sweet. I mitigate this by simply asking for less sauce when I order. They started offering some Taiwanese style dishes so if that's something that interest you, ask the server. One of my personal favorite dishes is the bbq pork fried rice. It's nothing special. It's simple but they get it right, which not all places do. Any of their choy dishes are good, lots of garlic and wok hey. I come here pretty regularly and I'm happy to. read more

Fantastic place for Chinese fare and especially, if you have a larger group. They were able to accommodate 12 of us to celebrate a birthday and let us bring in our own cake. The service was very friendly and stayed on top of our needs. It's family style dishes so be prepared to share. Some of my favorites from the day were the salt and pepper squid, the honey walnut shrimp, and the salt and pepper fish. But, their honey chicken was crispy and sweet too. Didn't know this place was here but a hidden gem for sure. We got the orange chicken with noddles and teriyaki roll. The orange chicken was good. I found the chicken a little dry but my gf loved it. The noddles were good as well. The teriyaki roll was a miss for me is was super dry but again my gf thought it was ok lol last but not least the cucumber salad. 10/ 10 we will be back the service was 10/10 soooooo nice and very attentive! A quick update now that I am back in the area. I stopped in for a quickie take out for my hotel room work dinner intending to grab something comforting. What a surprise to be presented with their somewhat secret Hong Kong style menu! They just unlocked the 5th star from me for authenticity! No more Spam Fried Rice here but they now have Pig Ears and Blood Cake on the menu if you know to ask for it! The place is plenty busy and seems popular with the locals but the fact that they now have a secret authentic Chinese menu means I will be here every time I come through here for work. I had the Beef Chow Fun with vegetable egg rolls and ice cream milk tea which is probably one of my favorite drinks. The restaurant tonight when I went to pick up, my food was incredibly crowded, which is a good thing considering that good news travels fast about this place and it certainly for good reason this food is great. Ventured here because family was staying close by. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is more of a family style restaurant so would recommend ordering multiple dishes to share. We got the walnut shrimp (which was fantastic), the house fried rice, the Szechuan fish (great spice level), the "Happy Family" chefs special and the pad Thai (the flavoring could use a little work). We recently ordered for pick up and arrived promptly at pick up time. I live literally across the street from this place so it takes us no time to get there. I've always had to go orders for sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork packaged with the battered meats separate from the sauce so they stay fresh and crispy. This place put the sauce on the battered meats and then packaged the food in air tight, plastic containers allowing for further moisture to get in and make the batter on the meats soggy. By the time we got home from picking the order up 5 minutes later, on both dishes the batter on the meats was soggy, gross and inedible. Our meal was ruined. Avoid this with take out or be clear how you want your order to be packaged for to go orders. read more

Ever been to a place where you know the food is either going to be amazing or absolutely terrible, and it's a roll of the dice on any given day? This is that place. In my opinion, you can increase your odds by going during peak hours to ensure the food is fresh, but it's never a guarantee. I've been a dozen times and half the time the food is top-tier and the other half you'll be getting something that is stringy, and tasted like it was reheated at least twice before it arrived on your plate. It's just a gamble anytime you go in, and with two other very, VERY strong competitors just around the corner (George & Sons and Abacus Inn) you might be better off going to a guaranteed establishment. As far as the service goes, it's very good! Everyone is attentive, and drink refills were prompt. Ambiance is another win for me, but only because I am a big fan of less is more, and cleanliness. Great little Chinese spot!!! So far everything I've tried there, except the eggrolls has been excellent ..I don't know why but the egg rolls are the only things I haven't enjoyed. They seem a bit mushy to me and not a lot of flavor. I have been in there multiple times every item I have gotten has been delicious, well prepared,the servings are generous.... The house lo mein has shrimp, beef and chicken, and they don't skimp on the meat at all, anything with shrimp in it I always get a little bit anxious because the shrimp tend to be overcooked and rubbery the three dishes I've had from there with shrimp in them. The shrimp have been perfect They are large, well cooked not rubbery very flavorful. So far, everybody has been very friendly. The restaurant looks small but when you get inside, it's fair size and very clean.... In north Phoenix. There's not really a lot of good Asian restaurants at least in my experience and this one breaks the mold. They're very good. Note that they have a separate menu in Chinese, which has some authentic dishes that are not offered on the English menu. My family came here for lunch and ordered a few dishes from both menus. The food is pretty decent, but a little bit too greasy for me. The tofu and vegetables dish we ordered from the Chinese menu would have been perfect if it wasn't so drenched in sauce. They do appear to have a decent selection of vegan options- I'm vegan and we told the waiter but she didn't really know what that meant, so she just said some of the dishes we ordered had no meat. The service is quick, but not particularly friendly or attentive. The woman who took our order also recommended we add this cold chicken dish after we had ordered 5 or 6 dishes already, so we did and we ended up having WAY too much food. We dine here at least once a month because my Taiwanese parents love this restaurant! With the TSMC plant being built, there will be more Taiwanese restaurants opening in the future, but now this is one of the few authentic Taiwanese restaurants in North Phoenix. You know it is authentic because at any given lunch hour it is filled with TSMC employees. They offer a lunch menu with many classic Chinese dishes that come with an egg roll, crab rangoon and choice of rice for a reasonable price. But the best authentic Taiwanese dishes are on the Chinese/Taiwanese "secret menu", which also comes in English. My favorite is the dish that Taiwan is famous for- the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, it's a classic comfort food with tender beef and aromatic broth. The Roasted Duck is also delicious, with a good amount of meat and not greasy. The Szechuan Boiled Fish is served in a huge metal soup pot and has a nice spicy kick to it. Another classic Taiwanese dish is the Pork Dumplings, which have a nice thick skin filled with juicy pork and chives. The servers are all friendly and attentive and the restaurant atmosphere is casual and clean. Rumor has it that a Taiwanese boba shop will be opening right next door!Now all we need is a Taiwanese Bakery like 85 Degrees and it will be a perfect little Taiwanese Trifecta in North Phoenix! read more

Lychee kitchen had great waitstaff, but unfortunately the food was just so so. I had sushi and it just lacked a little flavor. They didn't have low sodium soy sauce on the table. My other party members got Chinese dishes and they thought they were good but not great. They got the broccoli chicken and the pad Thai. We had takeout dinner from Lychee kitchen. The Salt and pepper pork was delicious. The meat was tender and crispy; perfectly seasoned. The Singapore rice noodle was also delicious without being greasy. The jalapeño beef was also perfectly seasoned and the jalapeño had perfect amount of heat. The only dish we didn't care for was the green beans probably would've been better if eaten fresh at the restaurant.
