We also chose the sweet bbq sauce. 4 chocolate chip cookies were also included ! We ordered 2 sweet teas. Turkey is delicious! Great smoke flavor! Let's set the expectation, this a chain BBQ place so if you are expecting something similar Johnny Smoker getting up at 2 a.m. to smoke meat and sell until all food sold out by the time lunch is over, this is not for you. In my opinion, this place is similar to Dickey's or Mission. This not necessarily a bad thing! Bottom Line Up Front: I would eat here again. Food: Sliced Brisket - There were not deep smoke rings which meant there was little to no smoke flavor when eating the meat plain. Also the meat was dry. There was not a lot of fat on the brisket. Burnt ends - I got these without the spicy aioli sauce so I could taste meet. There was a mixture of dry pieces, fat, and semi-moist pieces. Overall, the flavor was reminiscent of teriyaki beef. There was little to no smoke flavor. French fries - The fries were dry or had been sitting out. Flavor was average. There were no oil on the wrapper they came in. Service: Basically come in place your order and that is the extent of service. I found it odd there was tip option when there no other service. The one negative is an employee came over to my table and removed a BBQ sauce which was a duplicate. I thought this was unprofessional. It is my first time here and a random woman walks up and takes BBQ sauce uttering "Let me take this from you". I would have thought there would have been an "Excuse me...". I figured out what was going on and attributed to a lack of professionalism. The sauces: Sweet - I used this the most. It is sweet and you can taste the honey profile in it. It is sticky so if you have kids or a messy eater be prepared! Spicy - This sauce gets it kick from pepper. It hits the back of palate after you get the flavor profile. There is light tangy profile, smoke profile, and of course the pepper. Not bad if you want some heat. Vinegar - This is a tangy sauce! If you like Carolina barbecue this is probably for you although this is not an authentic Carolina barbecue. It is almost the opposite of the Spicy. It is heavier on the tangy flavor with light pepper. Price: Seems high. I paid $30 for the brisket, burnt ends, fries, and a fountain drink. Overall, this is a "fast food" barbecue joint. We stopped after a band competition at Naperville Central. I had the 1/2 rack, sauced. They were really nice ribs. The one odd thing was the side salad. They have 2 sizes, a small and a large. A regular place for me. I've been coming here since they've opened, and brought many friends with. Never had a bad experience or food. You can throw a dart at the menu, and you will be completely satisfied with whatever is selected. Oh, and can we just acknowledge that somebody out there is still making yummy hush puppies. As a kid I used to get them at Long John Silvers (like back in the 70s and 80s). But somebody in corporate changed the recipe or oil or something, and they have never been the same. We ordered Q BBQ for my daughter's first birthday party. We were originally going to go somewhere else, but opted for Q BBQ because the prices were better. Their catering was a really good deal. They must have had an ownership change recently because things have gone way downhill. We were there tonight for dinner and the service was rude and slow, and my food was not good. This is a complete 180 compared to my past visits here. When we walked up to the counter, two guys were unloading beer and ignoring us. When the one guy decided to take our order, he didn't even say hello, seemed annoyed that he had to take our order, kept forgetting things, and also seemed like he was high. Took about 15 minutes to get a turkey platter and a sandwich. My sliced turkey was about 50% fat (see picture). I've had this meal several times here before, and it was never fatty like that. All of the meats were delicious but the rib tips were next level. They had a true bbq, smokey flavor that we were not expecting but definitely enjoyed!
