I've read through a good chunk of the reviews on yelp and I'm shocked that Q nightclub isn't rated higher. This is one of my favorite places to go to in Seattle. The staff is respectable and nice. I think a lot of people who are reviewing are talking from a point of view where theres a lot of grey area. As long as you're not being belligerent and understand that it's time to go home when they turn off the music, you'll be fine. Of course this place has a cover, like any other club. Drinks are priced very similarly to the surrounding bars/lounges/clubs in Seattle. One thing I really like about Q nightclub is the sound system. I have been here for concerts religiously since 2014. They don't care about the club goers anymore. Be ware they have a 1:45am no re-entry rule which is not listed anywhere on their socials or the emails they sent when you get your tickets. Club itself isn't that bad. One main bar, one small bar, and a dancing area. It's very small compared to other clubs I've been to in the city. I'll never go here again and trust me, considering how much I spent here I'll definitely take my money elsewhere and will never recommend this place to anyone. There are WAY BETTER clubs than this one and it's just not worth it. Staff sucks, especially security who think they're all that. I got bottle service and there's a minimum which no one told us about until we got the table. So we decided to add 20 shots of tequila which was way overboard what we really needed and even gave out some to random folks just walking by our table. Everything was going fine until about 1:00am when I went outside for fresh air. I tried to go back inside at 1:15-1:30am because the bottle was on my tab and I wanted to sign off on it. They wouldn't let me back in! They said they were closing and couldn't let people back in. Not sure if this is a law or not but I had my friends and a tab to take care of but they didn't care. My friends came out and no one knew about the tab or how much it costs. Low and behold, the next day there's a $800 bill on my credit card. They had my credit card information because they required it before we got the bottle. Tip was auto-included and I don't really remember the hostess saying that it was. I would never have tipped them that much cause uhh.. I wasn't even allowed to go back in to look at the check. read more

We read a lot of reviews of this nightclub and weren't sure if we wanted to go, it sounded so bad, but when we got there, we were both amazed at how great the place is, and how friendly both the crowd and the bartenders are, and the security was great, and very sweet to us. At the end of the night we left the club in a glow of good feelings, and couldn't believe that the reviews we read were about the same club. We think possibility there are people who come to the club and get rowdy and super drunk and are pissed if anyone's offended. read more

I'm a regular, I usually go every Friday and Saturday. The DJ's there have always been good, but I had a very bad experience with a security guard named LJ or KJ i believe his name is. I pulled out my vape on the dance floor to make sure it was turned off, because with the edm that was playing, my vape tends to turn on accident in my pocket with me jumping back and forth. He saw me pull out my vape and instantly went up and demanded to keep it on him for the rest of the night. I just complied as I wanted to keep having a good night. I then went up to security where tickets are bought and I explained the situation. He said that people get mistaken and they'll take it away on accident sometimes which I understand. I asked for it back then he called up that security guard LJ or KJ. He escorted me to the front door and told the other guards I was not allowed in for the rest of the night. I paid $35 dollars for not even 2 hours, just to get kicked out because he thought I was smoking. I'm not going to be coming back, as he didn't see me smoke, he saw me pull out a vape and instantly assumed I was going to smoke it, when I was trying to make sure it was turned off. I don't have an issue with the rest of security but what he had did was terrible and ruined my night. He knew he was wrong but still kicked me out. read more

I came here September 2022 and had an absolute blast. I came on a Saturday. They started with R&B and there wasn't anyone dancing, which had me a bit worried. But as the night progressed, the music & the people got livelier. There was a diverse crowd of club-goers, from dressed up ladies with heels to some friends out in sneakers and sweatpants. I had a great time dancing alone and partying with some groups that danced along with me, just grooving and moving to the music and probably looking very silly. I danced all night and experienced no sexual harassment, unwanted touching, or unpleasant interactions. I think it's my most positive club going experience yet. quick facts: - no masks or vaccination asked for (although i had both) - no dress code apart from the standard no shoes no service (i think- they let me in with a sweatshirt and sweatpants (bandeau underneath for when i get warmed up)) - i did not drink at all so i can't attest to drink quality. My friend, who drank, was lukewarm about it - online tickets had an extra service charge, so it's ~6 dollars more than advertised - entry people/ticket people not very welcoming, but you only need to interact with them once - wear ear protection, hearing loss is cumulative and irreversible! I did and still felt a bit much. This is all true for most music venues though read more

To all my deep house / techno fans, Q is where it's at when it comes to these particular music genres. :) Located on Broadway, across from the QFC and near the shady Shell station, the exterior of Q is pretty bland and nondescript. Often times, the best way to find this place is to listen for the loud banging music against the wall or find the line. On really popular nights (usually due to sold out shows), a long line can easily snake around the corner for this place. Here's the breakdown: Thu: Typically not as crowded. Music is usually: techno, deep house, D&B, and occasional other acts Fri: Typically - big artist OR general EDM / top 40 Sat: Mix of everything Cover: $10-20+ range (depends on which night you go, who's DJing, and when you arrive). There is guestlist that's available from time to time, but it helps if you have a connection. Interior: Easily one of my top favorites - it's a wide dance floor, circle bar, and when it's not sold out, it's pleasant being in here. Plus, it's a cleannnn place with barely sticky floor. Age Range: 20s-30s Dress Attire: Surprisingly enough, Q is one of the very few clubs left in Seattle where you'll see a fair amount of people dressed up. So feel free to go clubby or do it the Seattle style (aka plaid or casual wear). Sound system: Perfect. I haven't been here on a bad night, and the music quality is always on point. Overall, if you want a step up from the seedy/sketchy/cramped dance places in Caphill, Q is a great alternative. If cover wasn't so high, I would be frequenting this place more often. :) read more

As the night closed, I realized that I was missing an expensive piece of jewelry. The staff paid no attention to my concerns and ushered me out, giving me a business card to call for tomorrow. The security was physically aggressive and gave me no chance to look for my missing items. The staff on hand forced me to leave with no opportunity to look for my missing items. The instant I mentioned the missing item was from Louis Vuitton, the security instantly ushered me from the building in an aggressive and physical manner. Being a popular local capitol hill bar I would hope the staff would be more In tune to the wants and needs of their clientele. This entire experience has turned me away from Q Nightclub and their shady business operations. Bouncers are very rude and on a power trip. One bouncer got pissed, threw my friend's drink across the room, and didn't bother to pay him back. The bouncers kicked us out, but said that if I paid them $20 under the table they would allow me in the club. So not only were they rude but also tried to extort money from me. Very sleazy. Drinks are overpriced. Wasn't even that good, get your drinks elsewhere. Cover is overpriced. I recommend you take your money on other (better) clubs around Cap Hill. read more

Went here with a huge group of friends last week, and it was okay. We decided to go there, because my friend liked the DJ that was playing that night. Since we had a big group, somebody had proposed that we get a table. Depending on the table, there is a capped limit as to how many people you can bring up. The bouncers and bottle service girls are heavily checking to make sure that you have a wristband, so don't bother trying to sneak up to be with your friends. The table we reserved had a cap limit of 15 people, and we had 20 people in our group. 5 of us opted out of paying for the table, and the rest of the group split the bill 15 ways. You need to call ahead of time to reserve a table, and I believe that you need to put down a card/deposit. Since our friend group had purchased a table, our whole group (even the ones that weren't opting in for table/bottle service) were able to get in without waiting in line. The bathrooms were decently clean. There was a gentleman working the bathroom who was handing out soap, paper towels, and was frequently cleaning the counter. Reasons for the 3 star rating: -The table service was okay. Not worth it at all. It was $1,000 before tip and it came with 2 bottles. The platform has multiple tables, so you're basically just sharing a platform with other groups who reserved the other tables. -Due to there being multiple tables on the platform, someone from another table group had stolen my friend's phone straight out of her purse. She didn't notice until after we left to go get food that her phone was missing from her purse. -The bouncers were okay. They weren't friendly, but at the same time they weren't rude. -The bartenders were nice It was $15+$4 service fee for the cover if you pre-bought the tickets online. I heard that it's usually $15-$20 for cover at the door. Not worth it at all in my opinion. The venue was kind of small, and I didn't get the friendliest of vibes from the employees. None of them were rude, but they kind of came off as if they're better than everyone else. The bouncer who was controlling the platform to go up to the table was really nice though. Shoutout to him. Overall, it was really overpriced for what it was. There are plenty of other clubs that I'd rather go to. I probably won't be back anytime soon, but it was nice to experience it once. read more

The music selection is horrible and skips between genres like CRAZY and the majority of the songs aren't even "danceable" And the drinks are TERRIBLE. Q Nightclub is a staple in Capitol Hill and the nightlife scene in Seattle at large. I've come here many times, mainly due to the talent they bring in. If you like electronic music (namely house and trap), you will love going here to see various DJs. They even had Kristian Nairn (Hodor from Game of Thrones) play! I give it a 3/5 though because I really, really hate the layout. For the artists they bring in, the space is pretty small. The DJ plays to the side of the stage where you think they are playing; I'm sure tons of people have gone and not even realize there was an artist actually doing something off to the side. Because of that, it seems the crowd doesn't know which way is the front and it's even more chaotic than usual. The set up for the bathrooms is also terrible. There are at most 4 urinals, and 4 regular toilets. There are always 2 incredibly long lines, one for the urinals and one for the toilets; since the lines are so long, you have no idea that this isn't a conventional guy/girl split unless you have prior knowledge. I have to give kudos to the bar staff--they are constantly bombarded with drink requests, large orders, etc. and you can tell how fast they are working to get everyone's drinks out quicker. Last little bit--they have different themed nights, which is pretty awesome. Some nights it's more hip hop, some nights more electronic, some more pop. I'm not even kidding we had spent more than 2 grand to be kicked out of this shithole. They had originally kicked one person out and we asked for the security guard that did it her name. We were also ROBBED of over 200 in tips even though the entire group was kicked out so obviously we had no gratitude to leave since we were not inside the club. The music was fire, the rest of it a dumpster fire. Went with my sister at 0100 and the bouncer said they stop serving drinks at 0200 and will play music until about 0230. At 0140, after spending 30 dollars on cover charge and 41 dollars for one drink each, they came and physically pulled our drinks out of our hands, along with other people's drinks. We couldn't finish them. It was a waste of money and a poor display of customer service, especially for a nightclub. Would not recommend. read more

I work in the night life industry And I have worked and managed every night club in Seattle. I have not been to Q sense 2015, so I was excited to get bottle service At Q, we were taking care of by the host or manager. I don't know who he was and the security guards upfront. They were really nice. When we got to our table it took a long time to get bottle service which I found very weird as we were the only party getting bottle service. Once The bottle servers came out the presentation lasted literally two seconds not even enough time to get our phones out to record. This is something I make a point of When I'm training cocktail servers the importance of Presentation. If customers are spending any Enormous amount of money you make sure they feel special. It was not in this case. Around 12:30 we were not liking the experience and wanted to leave at that point we had purchased two bottles and two rounds of vodka. Our bill came to $1300 of our $2000 minimum. We did not Finnish our bottle. FYI we had one round in each bottle and there was only six people in our party. If the bottle is a 750. That bottle typically pours 20 to 25 shots depending on how you pour your shots. If it's a liter you get a couple more shots. But I wouldn't know what size those bottles were because our presentation literally lasted two seconds. I didn't even see the bottle. My friend that was paying for the tab told the hostess that he would like to pay for what we drink and to add on whatever tax and gratuity they wanted to add I was in their discretion what they wanted to charge when it came to gratuity. We were willing to pay for the two bottles even though we drink a quarter of it each bottle and the two rounds of vodka shots. The host left and came back with a $2700 bill. Never in my life in all the clubs I've worked at in Seattle have I ever seen a bill for $2700 for two bottles on a Friday night. The hostess was holding my friends ID and credit card hostage if he did not sign the bill. And threaten to call the cops if we did not sign the bill because it would be theft. Knowing my rights I told her that she can call the cops and we can let them know that we are willing to pay for what we drank and what we bought which was $1300 plus whatever tax gratuity they want to put. Mind you they were charging $700 of tax and gratuity way over the 20%. So I was OK with her calling the cops because I said this point she's was the one trying to steal from us and extort us. She did not like that I knew what I was talking about and She proceeded to put her hands on me and try to shove me away. I told her not to touch me. Then she proceeded to tell a female security guard to drag me out of if the club. The female security guard grab me and I told her not to touch me that I could walk out by myself then got in my face and told me to put my mask on, forgetting that her mask was off as well. I told her she can put her mask on first and then I will put my mask on after. She didn't like feeling stupid so then she grabbed me and try to throw me out the back. The group of people that I was with also two other security guards stopped her because what she was doing was completely wrong. I went outside and asked a security guard if I could speak to a manager or a GM and he said that there's no manager I can speak to, to call the police if I wanted to. Completely unprofessional and I am so mortified. Never in all my years being in the nightlife industry have I try to cheat customers out of their money. You loose customers that way. There needs to be some serious retraining in this establishment. Charging customers Vegas prices and gratuity that was way more than the 20%. And putting hands on customers is completely not OK. I will never return to this club ever again. The charges will be disputed. My friend has no problem taking legal action if need be. Washington state law we are not supposed to do a bottle service. it's called tableside service if we wanna be technical here. Where the cocktail server sells shots and if the customer does not finish them the server would have to reimburse. Let me know Q if you need me to retrain your employees. read more

Came here to celebrate my own and a friends birthday, and oh my I have never experienced a more inhospitable environment. All the staff we interacted with had a terrible attitude and really set the special day mood at an all time low. And when I went back to check if I had something in the lost and found the day after(they don't have a phone number just an email making it nearly impossible to contact them) the staff blatantly said they have other stuff going on so would not even spare a minute to take a look for me. Would not recommend this club if you want an uplifting environment, they do know how to throw a good pity party I'll give them that much. First time at Q with friends, music I would say was a little underwhelming might depend on what day you go though. Lines were pretty long so I would suggest getting them beforehand. Would suggest buying online before 9 and if you come before 11:30 there isn't a charge not too sure how it works, but faster line. Phillip was a great guy, brought us to VIP because he was told the guy who had the section was looking for "friends" but he was just a desperate single guy with 4 other dudes that got upset other guys were in his section and then was upset. My friend and I got roofied here but they don't care. I remember taking two shots at the bar and then waking up the next morning in my bed with no recollection of the night before. I'm 30, I've been drunk before and I know what my body can handle. I basically had to get carried out of the club by my husband (who was fortunately there to take care of me!) as I was completely blacked out. Just coincidentally my friend and I took a shot together (just us two) and were the only ones who ended up blacked out. I sent an email to the club just notifying them that there might be some shadiness and to just maybe keep a careful eye on their bartenders. I only recall taking shots right at the bar and not babysitting any drinks to give bystanders an opportunity to drop something into my drink. I tried to recollect the night and advised in my email to them that I only had 2 drinks. The response I got back from the club was that they saw me actually have 4 and that I should know my limits as there is nothing wrong with their bartenders. You guys never thought that by my second drink I was drugged and therefore had no recollection of the 3rd and 4th? And my bad, if I did have 4 drinks I would have maybe been buzzed but certainly not blacked out and waking up soiled in bed. An extremely unprofessional way to handle the situation by blaming the customer. I'm not coming back here and not advising anyone to either. There are multiple reviews on yelp of ppl getting drugged here so it's definitely happening and will continue happening as long as the club doesn't see any problems. This is a night club with a good vibe. They're very welcoming and everyone always seems to have a good time here. The covers can get expensive, however, especially when they have an event. A typical Friday or Saturday night is $15 to $25. They place good hip hop music and the dance floor is well sized with easy access to the bar and bathrooms. They do have an upstairs available to rent for events. I've don't that once and the service was great. Staff is super responsive to any issues you have. read more

Had a friend's phone stolen from a zipped purse as well as mine within 15 minutes of arriving, and then ran into other women out on the curb who had their phones stolen as well. Best club in Seattle! Seattle lacks in good clubs. Good new clubs to be exact. We have a lot of places that has been around forever. But this place is modern, new ,cool and sexy. And it has a lot more room to dance. I used to come here a lot when they first opened. It was a gay club then! And they had a lot of very scantily clad male dancers dancing all over the club. They were almost too scandalous for most people. Those hot boys :) Of course, I was dragged here by my lovely gay friends. So I can't complain. They went for the eye candy, I went for them. It's a win win right? Drinks are definitely on the pricier side though. Something that will cost you $7 across the club will cost you around $12 here. It is also super crazy busy so make sure you know what you want! The bartenders are work in this magic speed. Somewhere along the way, they've changed the management and even the partnership I've heard. They are now a regular club and do hip-hop/top 40 on Fridays and EDM on Saturdays. They even had some really cool djs there.They now focused a lot more on their music than they used to which I totally love. And lets face it. They are trying to bring Vegas to Seattle with that décor. It is always much nicer to dance in pretty new open place than tiny dirty packed club! Oh and their bathrooms are hands down better than all the other places. They have an attendant that will hand you pretty lotions, perfumes and all sorts of things. Can't complain with that!
