The outside doesn't seem very inviting, but the inside is a nice village-style bar. There are tables on both sides and in the middle, with the bar centered. In the back corner they have ring toss, darts, and beer pong, plus seating all around. It was clean and the service was good. Sundays also allow free games with a $10 minimum food purchase, which is a nice touch. I ordered the pretzel and it was good. It took about 15 minutes, and it was pretty salty -- definitely better if you brush some of it off. I also couldn't help but notice the vent above me. When it rains it floods in the pool area. Not the best kept tables. The menu is mediocre at best bar service is terrible weeknights. The wanna be a porn star bartender with the horrible mustache and muscle shirts is absolutely ridiculous. Can only open cans, terrible at mixed drinks and rude. If you don't have to be there, don't . I've been shooting here for the past year just for fun with family and friends once or twice a week, the wait staff & bartenders now know me by name & remember what I'd like to order. The place is super welcoming & cozy, almost feels like a second home. I've met a lot of cool people here including the staff. It's a complete shift from the Darien location, as this is a POOL hall, no doubt about it. The food is always amazing & the bartenders always know how to pour your drink the right way. The food and service here has always been amazing. It was nice to come in a Saturday afternoon and shoot some pool with the kids. Came tonight to just grab dinner to go and they wouldn't even let my 14 year old past the doors!? It's not even dark outside yet, and we're not staying- but nope. Have to be over 21 to even get in the building now?! Highly disappointing for a place that says PUB & EATERY. My friends and I took a break from school and checked out this place on a Thursday. For a Thursday, this place was PACKED! We started the night with a round of shots and a bucket of beer. The bartender was really bad at listening to what we wanted. We were wondering what kind of beer they had for the bucket of beer but she thought we were ordering a bucket of beer and started grabbing Miller Lite and popping off the caps before we could stop her. Then, we ordered a round of Jameson but we wanted one of the shot to be vodka but she didn't hear and thought we wanted another shot of vodka... We avoided that bartender for the rest of the night and there was no wrong orders with the other bartenders... One of my friends wanted a sugary shot and the bartender suggested a shot that tasted like peanut butter, she made it wrong and gave us a free round of shots. This place held a beer pong tourney ($5/person) when we were there and that was pretty fun. Since it was my friends and my first time, we didn't really know how the pool table system worked so when we saw an open table, we just started playing..then this guy came over and was like..this is my table and demanded us to give it back..we talked to the guy running the place to sort out the money but the owner was like "just finish the game! no big deal!" A friend suggested this as a place for a meet-up, so we checked it out. Even on a Saturday evening there were plenty of tables available. Their web site said there was a special of free pool from 4 to 6 and we arrived well past that (around 7 pm), but they still gave us the deal with the purchase of two drinks, so okay! Lighting was decent and tables weren't too cramped together. Place was pretty clean, not scuzzy or divey. Drinks were LETHAL. A water-glass-sized gin and tonic nearly killed me, so I partook of some mini chicken sandwiches at the bar ($6; not bad for bar food and especially for the price). The barmaid was hopping but very friendly and checked back with us. I would not come here exclusively for the bar or food, but it was better than expected. The bar also was not as loud as it might have been (even with several sports games playing). While we were playing pool some people were blasting music from the jukebox (near the bar area), everything from death metal to the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" to the Star Wars Imperial March (whaa??), but by the time we were at the bar that had calmed down. So I guess noise may be a toss-up. Overall, if you don't want to play pool at Brunswick Zone, this is a more authentic option, without being a super-sleazy bar. When this place used to be '63rd St. Billiards', it was a dump. Since they've gone under new management, it's gotten a lot nicer and at least a dozen new pool tables have been added. The booze is cheap, the food is decent (had a buffalo chicken sandwich, was unimpressed), and on the night I went, billiards was free! There's also indoor bags, which works due to the elevated ceiling, and the music is better than most places of this genre. Kudos for having short tables (7' instead of the typical 9'); I'm normally not a billiards ace, but I played some excellent games on the nice new blue felt top. On non league nights, this place is a townie haven. Likelihood of randomly seeing one or more high school classmates: strong. Still, not a bad dive bar. read more

I ordered a 6 piece of naked chicken wings with hot sauce & blue cheese dressing, an hour & a half later I walked up to the bar to ask about my order, the bartender looked oblivious. 2 hours later she comes up to me to ask if I wanted breaded wings instead, I told her "no, get me what I ordered", 2 & a half hours later she finally comes out with wings however, instead of blue cheese dressing I get ranch, I'm allergic to ranch! Very lively/rowdy place to be on a Friday night in the burbs, especially when there's 1) a Blackhawks game on, and, 2) a pool association gathering. We were told the wait for a table might be about a half an hour but it ended up being one and a half hours. Its probably not this bad on a normal night though and they do have a lot of tables. In the meantime, we sat at table drinking and chilling. At times, the music was cranked up obnoxiously loud to the point where we were all shouting to one another despite being about 1.5ft apart. Drink specials were a good deal compared to the city of course. There are TVs everywhere you look so if you're looking to watch a game, I would check out this billiards hall. This place has the best french fries and wings, especially when you are drunk. Besides billiards, this place also have a foosball table and an air hockey table. There was also a beer pong tourney, 10 bucks per team and their beer were cheap. I believe it was $1.50 per beer. I recommend getting the bucket of beer. I went to this hole in the wall spot with my girlfriends, and had a great time for the most part. The drinks are SUPER cheap here. $1.50 domestic beers, $3 apple pie shots, $5 bombs, and $7 domestic beer buckets. The music here is great. The bartenders and wait staff are also very friendly. One of the best things about this place is that they have a few arcade games and two different rooms full of pool tables and a spot to play bags. The only negatives about that is that people get super drunk off of the cheap alcohol and get a bit rowdy, and there is a $15 credit card minimum. I suggest bringing cash. read more

For example, their long island taste like coke which seems odd since coke is a minimal ingredient in these drinks. After waiting 10 minutes for the bouncer to stop hanging out with his friends and battling past the wall of smokers outside, the guy comes over and started interrogating us about our ID's (said mine was almost expired when it expires in December, gave my date a hard time about her ID as well). I would give this place a five except they don't always have enough staff to accommodate the amount of customers. It is a re occurring problem. I am inside Q Billiards now. I like dive bars and it's a dive bar. But it's not nice. The lady was quick to tell our group $15.00 Minimum for credit cards. No problem. But there's also a B.S. 4% credit card surcharge surprise. The only place I've seen doing that are car dealerships eating big bucks. What B.S. There must be no hood over the grill - my clothes smell like grilled food as the smoke is blown it seems into the bar area. Oh I see, you can look into the kitchen, and the giant spatula is just stupid hanging on the wall. They just renamed this sub-par place, kept the beanbag toss game and bad parts about the place and made it worse on the billing side. The HVAC system is still garbage. If they'd eliminate the stupid billing rules and get a kitchen vent it would be a start. So we're all leaving now. read more

I don't know if this place was renovated or taken on by new management, but I am really happy that it is here. I saw a couple of great reviews for this place and since playing pool is something that my husband and I like to do together - we thought we would check it out. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they have great specials including on Tuesday nights you can plan pool all night long for free if you purchase two drinks at the bar. There are additional pool/drink/food specials almost every other day as well. There are several tables and everything is in good condition. The people that hang out here at least on the night that we went seem to be pretty varied. Everyone from young adults to senior citizens all hanging out and playing pool. There is a bar and a kitchen here and they do have a pretty good sized menu. On the night that I came, I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered some fries thinking that this was a pretty safe bet. WRONG. Don't get the fries. They were pretty much inedible - completely overdone and over seasoned. I could only get a couple down and then I gave up. The waitress came back a little while later and asked how the fries were. I said, "honestly, they are pretty bad". She replied, "yeah, I know they aren't very good". OH......Why wouldn't this waitress have told me to get something else if she knew they weren't good??? She also didn't offer to take them off the bill, replace them or anything. They did have good drink specials and the drinks were pretty strong. Next time I will try something else from the kitchen. read more
