This small taco shop offers authentic mexican tacos and is known for their dorado tacos (similar to birria tacos). This is a casual spot that can seat up to 30ish people. Service was quick - I ordered via the front counter with a staff member and within 10 mins my food was ready to be devoured. They do have a CC fee (I think it's about 4%), that's pretty standard for most places. If you have time - I recommend bringing cash to avoid this fee. If dining in there is a salsa bar that which was a nice touch. I decided to try 3 tacos - a quesabirria with barbacoa, a chicken taco and an al pastor (pork) taco. All their tacos come with corn tortillas and served with cilantro and onion. My favorite was the quesabirria. In order to get the consome you must order the 3 of em, since I ordered 1 I didn't get the consome. My friend DID order 3 quesabirrias so thankfully I was able to try it. Steak burritos are awesome. Very meaty. Tasty. Great place for takeaway. Does have limited seating for dine in. Small strip mall casual restaurant. Easy to get to. Parking no problem. The only negative aspect is on the day we were there there were children running about. Presumably they are the owner/staff children. These were the 2nd worst al pastor tacos ($3.41 when ordered on their website on Taco Tuesday) I've ever had. Dry/old, not much meat compared to other restaurants, fatty, and very burnt. We also got the al pastor sope ($4.73) and burrito ($9.71). There was a fat piece the size of a silver dollar in the burrito. It was also one of the smallest we've gotten from a restaurant. The menu says that their burritos have lettuce, tomato, avocado, beans, cheese & sour cream, but ours was missing avocado and sour cream, and really stingy with the other ingredients. This was a hard pass for us because the food was not made with love or pride. I wouldn't serve this to family or friends. Didn't rate 1 star because the cashier was nice, the 3 included salsas were good, and I wouldn't want to discourage people from trying their birria tacos, which look appealing from the photos. read more

Wow, these tacos here were fireeeeee! I've seen this taco shop on Yelp before, and I was in the area so I decided to stop by for a nice taco lunch. It was around 12pm on a Sunday and no one else was in the shop besides a few people in and out picking up takeout orders. The place is clean, cozy but with enough seating, and very authentic. The staff here was great, as well; the employee who took my order was so friendly, brought me my food, asked how it was, etc. It felt like I was at a restaurant! Loved it. Now the tacos - YUM. They're known for their tacos dorados which I'm bummed I didn't get, but I'm totally coming here again to get them. Back to the normal tacos - they were authentic, fresh, hot, small, and delicious! The carne asada is finely chopped and they came with the perfect amount of onions and cilantro. The 2 salsa verdes I got on the side were also sooooo good - one was with jalapeño and the other one was a bit creamier. Best "dipping tacos" EVER!!!! Everywhere I go lately the Quesabirrira tacos don't compare to here. I mean these are the best ever! Their consume isn't thick and greasy or bland! It was huge! I couldn't finish it all. They are basically nachos but instead of chips, they had fries as the base. Omg so good! I had chicken and it was so flavorful. They offered me sauces but I felt they were flavorful without them. I ordered a bottle of coke (real sugar yay!) to go with it. I took off one star because of the surcharge to use a credit card to pay. However, the sign is listed right on the card reader for customers to see. Living in the suburbs...this is one of the hardest things to find. One of my friends had mentioned that this place had it and after ordering it; I was not disappointed. There was a lot in one portion and the cheese melts perfectly. The only thing is the bottom of the taco kept breaking apart. I also tried the carne asada fries and those did not disappoint! I had just checked into my hotel and just wanted something quick to eat and found this place on Yelp. I drove down and walked into this little shop. It was very quaint with four booths and just a couple of tables. You walk up and place your order and they'll call your number when it's ready. Everything seems to be fresh and they work fairly quickly. The gentleman who took care of me was pleasant and helpful as I had never been there before. He advised me that their most popular order was their Dorado tacos or their Windy City fries. As I really shouldn't be eating potatoes I chose the tacos. I ordered the dorados combo which said it came with Three tacos and a consomme with grilled onions, onion and cilantro. They end up being a type of birra taco but nothing like any I've ever had before. There is a very large bowl of consomme which is nice but it's way more than you need. The tacos had a bit of a crunch as well as an excellent chew. They also have a couple of choices of hot sauce you can put on. It was quite a good meal even if the taste was not what I expected. I actually enjoy expanding my horizons and trying different flavors so I was definitely satisfied at the end of my meal. I wouldn't mind going back and trying some of their other choices. read more

In the Suburbs?!? Barbacoa birria tacos - it's good! And not that Taco Bell half spoon filling. Meat was packed in the tacos! Flavor was great.
