Continuing alphabet series, Q for Qdoba representing 2021. I've been to the Gambrills (Waugh Chapel) location multiple times since living in Anne Arundel County and as recently as Monday, December 29, 2025. The staff is pretty nice here. They will let you sample an item if you are unsure. The food is always good. Although one of the times I tried the brisket, which was pretty salty. One noteworthy time I was here was in July 2021. A friend, who lives in VA & had a falling out with, and I buried the hatchet in June 2021. She was in AA County on that Friday evening I think for some reason. She was with some older woman who was maybe in her 70's she knew from church or something. After our Qdoba, we ended up playing a game or two at Wegman's, but my friend & I agreed afterward that this woman was kind of boring and didn't want to be friends. Anyway, several mostly positive experiences at this location. On my most recent visit with my girlfriend on 12/29/25 before a game night we were going to, I got enough points for a free entree. My crticism is that you should be able to use the free entree anytime or at least have 6-months to use it, but Qdoba makes you use within 60 days. That's a bit of a pain to remember to use the free entree, and I live 10-15 miles to 3 Qdoba, but none less than 10 miles from my home. Ultimately, it ended up being convenient for my girlfriend & I to use my free entree at the Silver Spring (Fairland) location, only 6 days later on Sunday, 1/4/26. I wouldn't have rushed to go back to Qdoba so soon, but I didn't want my free entree I earned to lapse. I emailed Qdoba about something else and mentioned this, and the company was nice enough to say we've given you a $5 credit that doesn't expire. I'll probably return to the Gambrills location at some point in 2026 as I like the food & can be convenient on occasion. read more

This QDOBA is extremely clean, there was no line, so we got our food very quickly, and the staff were extremely polite. I got a bowl with chicken, rice and all the fixings. My food was fresh, tasty and had me craving more. 5 stars. read more

What a pleasant surprise. I randomly came here to see what they have. Although it appears to look like chipotle it's a tad bit better in terms of quality. Today was my first time so I purchased a kids meal which includes two tacos with 3 toppings and your choice of meat. I chose the Birria for my meat and for my side I chose white rice . This food was so good. The meat was extremely tender. I'm definitely going to come back to try an adult meal. The store was very clean. The service was quick and polite. Our waiter was Scott. He was extremely patient and informative. I will be back. read more

I've tried other Qdobas around my way and this is by far the best one. The service here is pretty good, but what stands out is the FRESH food!! The chicken is fresh and all the other ingredients just feel nice fresh and warm. Love the sour cream here. Other places their sour cream is more hard unlike this one that is nice cold and more liquid like. read more

Thought I'd try something different plus I had a $5 coupon. I ordered take out and was very disappointed. Food was cold, not appealing at all and very bland taste. The salsa chips were just thrown in the bag without twisting the top if the bag and the queso was very chunky and tasted very bad . Food did not taste fresh and flavorful like I hoped. Came here on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch. The line was short and the wait to be helped was minimal. They were out of fajitas by the time it was my turn so there was a bit of lag time. Aside from that I thought the portions were very fair and the ingredients were fresh. Plenty of available seating. Thank you Qdoba staff! read more

Very good. Just as good as chipotle. I don't really see any difference in the food. Service was good. Tables were clean.

If I could give zero stars, they would get it. Even 1 star is not a true reflection of just how terrible this location is. Their customer service continues to be lackluster. Mobile orders aren't ready when you arrive, even after arriving more than 15 minutes after the designated time. If the orders are ready, the portions are just enough for a 2-y/o toddler. The staff there doesn't care. They laugh and joke while rectifying the orders and rush you along. I've given this location many opportunities to get it right, but it just never happens. I'm done with them. Don't waste your time. Eat elsewhere. read more

I absolutely love the Gambrills Qdoba! I always get the best service and the best food. I am a total germaphobe especially during this pandemic and they are one of the few places thst show cleanliness and care to the environment and the food. Jessi and Dan are the best!!! This was my very first time going to QDOBA at Waugh Chapel! I went to an early morning matinee and thought to get a bite to eat since I was alone and did not have my usual picky eater with me! I went in though the side door which was odd given the flow of the ordering process, but I got in line and waited my turn! QDOBA has the same concept of Chipotle and Moe's Southwestern Grill, so ordering was not that difficult! I was greeted by a nice young man and ordered my bowl! I ordered a carnitas taco salad with queso and guacamole! This salad was soo good! The pork carnitas was so tender, fresh and seasoned well! The queso was very good, not too salty and the guacamole was so fresh and tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the short experience that I had a Qdoba! The staff were all very friendly and the food was great! No complaints here! Will definitely come back! read more

I am totally disgusted and grossed out! If I could give ZERO stars- I would! I purchased a salad and discovered a green fingernail in my salad! I contacted the store and spoke with a manager who says she knows which team member the green fingernail belonged to. She took my info two days ago and promised to follow up with me- and two days have passed and I have yet to hear back! Qdoba....Chipotle....Qdoba....Chipotle, they're pretty much the same in my opinion. Like Chipotle, when you order your food at Qdoba you walk down an assembly line of food/toppings and you tell the server what you want on your food. This was my first time eating at a Qdoba and it was pretty good. I got a taco salad in a flaky fresh shell and I actually enjoyed it more than what I thought I would. The chicken was very flavorful and I got a nice portion of it too. I did notice a few toppings that I don't normally see at Chipotle, one being the mango salsa. That was a really nice pop of flavor on my salad. You can dine in or carry out. The prices are pretty comprable to Chipotle, but when I came in I didn't have to wait down the block to get in, so that's a plus. It's a cool place to grab some Mexican "esque" food when you're in hurry, but when I really want some authentic Mexican I'll go to a real restaurant. Qdoba will do in a pinch though! read more

It's like Chipotle, with a little bit wider selection. My food was fine, it's the management I have a problem with. The manager had one of her staff start cleaning underneath the soda machine with strong smelling disinfectant while we were trying to eat. Our table was right beside the soda machine and the smell was so overpowering that we couldn't even finish our food and left. Having worked in food service before, I understand if there was a spill that they needed to mop up for safety reasons. That wasn't the case here. Maybe they wanted us to hurry up and leave as we were the only people in the dining room at the time and they probably wanted to finish up cleaning so they could go home right at closing. I really want to like Qdoba, I swear I do. So many of my friends are like, "...but, they have queso!" and "It's so much better than Chipotle!" I know it's not fair to review a site while comparing to a similar chain, so I will try to refrain. Honestly, my biggest complaint is the lack of flavor in many of the ingredients, and how they do not combine into a whole that is pleasant on the palette. Where as other options usually taste better as a sum of their parts (take the best burger you've ever had, for instance), their burritos have always tasted to me like individual notes all vying for my attention. The problem is, some of the instruments are very flat. The rice, for starters. I can see big chunks of green in there (cilantro, I presume?), but I don't taste anything in the rice. Not even rice. The meats are generally okay, and they tend to taste like they should. I can't find too much fault here. The salsas stand alone, though, and do not serve to accent anything. Instead, they try to bully around the other flavors, albeit often unsuccessfully. The other toppings play the same way: sour cream (very sharp), cheese (nicely salty), guacamole (creamy and tangy [also not an extra charge, btw]), various veggies and other items... It's just not cohesive together, sadly. The total is not greater than the sum of the parts, and in fact might even be less. Oh, and the magic queso my friends all rave about? Could not taste more like it came from a can if it tried. I seriously do not get the fascination. It's just not that good. Granted, I'm not a queso fan to start, but I can appreciate well done cheese sauces. Heck, I even prefer my Philly Cheesesteak "Wiz Wit!" So, I can enjoy cheese in sauce form if done right. This is not done right, sadly. I just can't get that behind a joint that does not come together in one dish, especially one I "designed" myself. What's worse, the employees do not seem to enjoy working there. I have yet to see one of them smile, make small talk, or even that much eye contact. I swear it's like a home for antisocial pseudo-zombies. Not saying it would save the place to have some enthusiastic staff, but it couldn't possibly hurt. Tonight on April 24th, 2018 at around 8:30 in the evening. My partner headed out to get us food, I am a Qdoba nut...So naturally, that's where he went. Generally, he has to call me when he gets to the store...See I have a super complicated concoction and he can never remember what it is. Tonight I got no phone call, a bit scared I figured he had finally memorised my order! Alas no, however, Gereme did! Gereme knew exactly what my order was. He remembered not only my partner, he also remembered me, and my obnoxious or without me being there. That show signs of a great employee, he cares, listens and remembers his customers. In addition, Gereme is a very pleasant, happy and downright wonderful employee. A message to Corporate Please take care of Gereme, invest in his future and help him rise to his full potential. Taking good care of someone like that and it will pay dividends in the future! read more

Qdoba is similar to Chipotle but to me has a more authentic Tex-Mex flavor. The queso is very good and has a nice spicy hit. I prefer Qdoba while my daughter prefers Chipotle. Because if this we frequent both establishments a lot. read more

Every time I stop by, the staff is always pleasant, friendly and super helpful in making any suggestions regarding the options they have within the store. Usually the food in this place isn't too bad.. but yesterday I got the chicken burrito and my family member got sick. I should've listened to my guts.. the way they were rushing and dropping food everywhere. The cashier used a marker that fell on the floor and picked it and then wrote on my food.. Gross! I just didn't want to say anything, but maybe I should have bc now we are sitting in the urgent care center, I should've spoken up (especially during this vulnerable time)!! I'm a little surprised by the bad reviews but after reading them it seems like a lot of them are older reviews and customer service issues. I went here on a Monday at 2pm and it was slow. An off time so it's hard to judge how business is doing. I have dined her before but it's been a 'grab n go.' I had my two year old daughter and my 7 month old in a stroller. I ordered a steak bowl and a kids quesadilla with a kids milk. No beverage for me. It came out to $13. Both meals were hot and fresh. An added bonus was that they delivered our meal to the table. A huge deal when your by yourself with two kiddos. A+!! Whenever I dine at Chipotle my meal is always cold or lukewarm which doesn't make sense because they are always busy. Clean, friendly and Fresh Fast Mexican food. The employees were professional and quick . They even took the time to explain every condiment and what heat level it would be. I love Qdoba as it offers nachos as opposed to Chipotle. I don't dine there much as there isn't a Qdoba in my neighborhood. The staff was not stingy with nacho chips (just a tad bit too much). It was loaded with black beans, chicken, hot sauce and heavily drizzled with queso and shredded cheese. That was a full meal deal (sorry to steal this from Diary Queen)! The line staff were friendly. Always have a pleasant experience here. Register for rewards, and get free chips and queso by text. Also, register a card and earn points towards free meals. Nothing fancy by far, but great quality and price for a quick bite to eat. love to 'go naked' and get all the burrito fixins without the tortilla. Their queso is amazing, and whether you choose beef, pork, chicken or whatever floats your boat. Its delicious. If you wished Chipotle had spicier fare and a line that didn't go around the block, then you should try this place. I had a burrito that was quite large and very satisfying. They carry pretty much the same mild fillers that Chipotle does and they are seasoned well and they have an adobo seasoned brown rice and other sauces and toppings that will give your food a little kick if you like that. They also had queso for their nachos instead of a bland salsa. No need for Chipotle anymore in my opinion. I enjoyed my meal very much and plan to go again. read more

If I could give them a ZERO I would. Ordered food and paid before closing and no one there decided to tell me they wouldn't make it. Waited an extra 20 minutes. They still charged me and it took over a week to get my money back. WILL NEVER come to this place again. read more

I was on my way to the movies and usually go to a sit down restaurant first; however, I left little time between the meal and the movie, so I needed to chose a counter type place. Having been to Chipotle, it's easy to understand why people make the comparision. Pre-cooked food sitting in warm bins dumped on your tortilla. Who would't want that? Me. Chipotle gives you bigger servings and all chain Mexican taste the same. I will make sure to give me more time before I see a movie, so I'm not forced to walk in here again. read more

I frequent Qdoba quite often and this location is by far the most disappointing one. The food at this location was flavorless and the fajita mix was barely cooked. The one in northern Glen Burnie is way better. Just eat at one of the surrounding restaurants instead. Chipotle is in the next shopping center over if you like that better. read more

Better than chipotle. Better food, better ingredients. Chipotle doesn't have mango salsa. Another thing , it pisses me off that at chipotle that they are in such a hurry that pieces of pork or things you don't want in your burrito accidentally fall in there cause they work too sloppy and messy. There is one thing really missing from the food IMO...SALT. I found the queso to be void of flavor. I got several chicken dishes and the chicken was charred...but not in a good way. I actually a added salt and pepper when I got home. This rating is for the chain. The location...if you like Qdoba...is clean...the food is hot...and service good. read more

Absolute garbage. The food was cold and the place was dirty. People were standing around listening to music instead of helping customers. One young white lady with blond hair was in the back using the N word like it was nothing. The bathroom were disgusting with feces in them. This is my go-to spot when I need a quick meal, crave tacos, or nachos or....oh, let's be real! I really could eat it every day. I like that I can pretend to eat healthy with a taco salad, or go with nachos. The Manager, Keith, is great, and clearly knows his regulars AND how to run the store efficiently. I like their rewards program too! If you are a regular, it doesn't take any time at all to accumulate points for free items. EAT MORE TACOS! read more
