Grilled chicken sandwich, add lemon herb and pineapple is one of my favorites. I can't get enough of the lemon herb sauce, goes great on everything. I also tried the mashed potatoes today and they were pretty good. If you prefer flavors over salt, you'd probably like this place. Nando's has ok food but their customer service is sub par. Between DoorDash and online order pick up they get our orders wrong about 50% of the time. Tonight I spent 75$ including a 20% tip only to get home missing 3 items. So, I had to go back, a 20 min ride in rush hour, to get my missing items. I requested to speak to the manager who literally could not have cared less. No explanation and a weak apology although he did offer me a drink while I waited. With several dozen other chicken places around Crofton why would I go back. They must be doing a great business where they feel comfortable inconveniencing customers. The managing partner was extremely inflexible and unwilling to accommodate even reasonable requests, which made the entire visit frustrating. I tried to order from the app as suggested but for some reason it did not work. I went inside to order. That was a bummer. I was pleasantly surprised with my Nando's experience - it looked like a chain popping up everyday and I was curious to try it. I got the Nando's bowl with lemon chicken, golden turmeric rice and arugula. This dish was really nice and I felt healthy. The chicken was a little dry but overall went well with the other flavors of the bowl. Then the waiter recommended the standard 1/2 chicken and I got it medium spicy with a side of corn. Very very yummy! I liked the chicken with more flavor compared to the lemon chicken. The best part is how beautifully decorated the restaurant is - so colorful and inviting. Drinks did not arrive until after the food. Had to ask You get your own silver ware after you place your order. Wings- came with a sauce but no sauce appeared until we asked for it. Garlic sticks- plain garlic bread Salad not correct.cm came late into the meal. Had to ask where our order was. Chicken is anorexic. Small portions. Skewers 5 stars. Meal was barely enough for 2 people. Kids playing at working 1 star. No adult supervision on a very light night. Entree before apps. I spoke to the manager who apologized and gave us food for another time. Unfortunately I feel that service should be right hot and in time. Poor experience. Wow, this location is simply excellent. The Annapolis location which I had visited for years recently closed. I made a lot of memories there after working at the Annapolis Mall for many years. I was very sad that it closed, and was extremely grateful this location is still around as I like it better. Although I didn't order any this visit, my favorite thing about this location is that it offers draft beer! I feel this sets it apart from others. The food is always very fresh and hot. The staff is trying really hard to go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good experience. I had a nice conversation with the manager when I was here. She truly went above and beyond and made my experience "magical" to say the least- I went straight home to tell my family all about how she made my day with her kindness. I will be visiting often, I love the food here so much. The restaurants atmosphere with the unique art and music are just such a great experience. I always feel like I'm transported to a different location, like I'm on vacation. I like how each locations decor is unique to them, so you never really have the same experience twice. I've visited and dined at quite a lot of Nandos locations - Annapolis, Laurel, Arundel Mills, Gaithersburg, Gambrills, and Ashburn. I'm pretty well versed on the menu as I've tried most of the items. My favorite item and a MUST have for me is the hummus and pita. The peri drizzle is my favorite part and really makes the dish. They briefly had a shortage during COVID, and I stopped ordering it for awhile because of this. An employee at this location introduced me to the XX hot sauce while the peri drizzle was out of stock. I truly enjoyed this suggestion and never would have tried it otherwise. Now, I always add this sauce to my plate even though my beloved drizzle has returned! :) I even have my own bottle at home ;) I love that Nandos sells all of my favorite sauces- I've even bought giant bottles at Costco ! The hummus item has recently changed and now has some sort of topping on top. I don't really care for it, and would prefer it the plain old way. I like to order on the app at my table - and don't see a spot to remove it. I hope they add this feature to the app soon (or maybe I missed it). For entrees , I always order either the 1/4 chicken, 3 chicken thighs, or chicken Caesar wrap. I ALWAYS get the fries, they are amazingly crisp and perfectly seasoned. No where else compares ! I love to dip them in the garlic peri sauce or hummus ;) When I'm not ordering a draft beer, I love the Coke freestyle machine. I appreciate that they keep it well maintained and it's usually never out of my favorite flavor combos of Coke Zero. This is worth mentioning because so many local restaurants neglect their machines and half the time there aren't even any diet options in stock. I recently noticed the sign for bottomless Peach Rooibos Tea and decided to give it a try. The tea is absolutely incredible and a great value at only $2.99! I will 100% be adding this amazing drink to my afternoon treat drink rotation. Their lemonades are also amazing and taste like a very special treat from a fancy juice stand. Maybe I've said too much, but I could go on and on about how much I love Nandos and this is my favorite location. What are you waiting for? I had a great experience! I ordered food to go. A lot of food. All for me because it's during COVID and I can if I wanna! A peri peri bowl with chicken, extra halloumi cheese (so so so so good!) and a large mashed potato side. Everything was hot and fresh and a generous portion. Nando's is always solid, and I'm glad this location was up to the reputation Nando's holds. We ordered from this Nando's for pickup a couple of times during the past year and it was really great. Needless to say, their chicken was so flavorful and perfectly moist. To be honest, I always thought their half-chicken was a little bit over-priced for their food but found a way to get around this. Order their whole chicken set menu that comes with 2 different sides. Not sure if it's because we ordered for pickup, but they were super generous with their sides. For their sides, I would recommend black-eyed peas, rice, and steamed corn. For the spicy level, I would stay with medium, because I noticed that the spicier the flavor, the saltier it tasted. I would say if you want more spicy, make it more spicy with the sauces that you can get on the side. Either way, solid meal choice. Highly recommend! read more

I used to give this place 4-5 stars but something has changed. Food is still decent but service and portions has changed dramatically. Ordering from your phone is meh - but I can get over that. The portions are about half the size they used to be but seem to cost more. One of the kids meals came with 3 wings (normally ok but they had literally no meat on it and my daughter had to ask for help to find the meat) and 4-5 fries in a mostly empty bowl. My sons food came out 10 minutes before the rest of the food and I had to go ask for my daughters. Eventually, the adult food came. Again, about half the size it normally is. No silverware was brought to the table and had to ask someone to find it. Also, no ice in the drink machine. Not sure if it was an off day but $55 for everyone to be hungry afterwards is an issue. My elderly neighbor and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. It had been a while since we ate here. The employee at the door was friendly and explained how to order. We were given a table and took a moment to decide what we wanted. We got in line to order. Make sure you ask an employee for a loyalty card! You get it stamped every time you come in and get rewards along the way. I was able to get a free side! I ordered a Chicken Breast sandwich (mango and lime flavored, arugula, tomato, pickled red onion, peri-peri mayo, Portuguese roll). I also added a slice of halloumi cheese and pineapple (costs extra) and chose Peri chips (fries) with the peri-peri mayo. My neighbor ordered a Chicken Breast sandwich (medium heat) with a side of red skin mashed potatoes. The food took a long time to come out. I know it's cooked to order, but several parties behind us in line (including a party of 8 women) who ordered after us received their food before we did. I'm not sure why it took so long. The food finally arrived! I don't know if it's just me, but the sandwiches look smaller from the last time I ate here. Despite that, everything was fresh and delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwiches were piled high with fixin's. My neighbor loved her sandwich and her mashed potatoes. There were several parties patronizing the restaurant. We were asked by several employees if we were enjoying our food. Once a party left, the tables were bused almost immediately. One employee even came by to ask if he could refill our drinks for us, which I thought was lovely. Great food and a great staff means I will return and recommend this restaurant to others. I hoped that my first time was a fluke, and that this time around I would enjoy my time there...unfortunately, I did not. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, I just did not enjoy the food. The first time I went, I had 1/2 chicken with rice and coleslaw - it was all bland. This time I had the veggie burger with fries. The burger was good - but I believe that it was so because I added pineapple to it. The patty tasted like a Morning Star veggie patty. The fries were delicious, they definitely added old bay to them which I do enjoy, being from MD. My husband dined with me this time around, ordering the wings and corn - which were also bland. The hubby ALWAYS finishes his wings..this time he did not. We did order dessert, carrot cake and a brownie, which surprisingly was pretty good. The restaurant has potential, smells really good, nice atmosphere..but they're main sell is the chicken, which isn't flavored at all. I think they rely on their sauces to add flavor. The sauces available are tasty, but that shouldn't determine how your meal is going to be. Maybe they need to marinate the chicken before grilling it, that would really help. That hummus with the peri peri drizzle though. For new patrons, this location has two doors to enter, but the hostess stand and menus are by the main door. It's a larger Nando's than many others I've visited, so seating usually isn't an issue. Plus, awesome outdoor seating by the side door. I ran out of my special sauce, so I will be re-upping tomorrow. I was stoked when this opened in Waugh Chapel. I had been to the location in the Annapolis Mall once, having the urge to try something a little different. I was expecting something South American perhaps, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was more Northwest African! The chicken is good, very good. Admittedly, it can be a tad overcooked, but I've never had anything too dry or at all burnt. Also, the base chicken can pack a tiny bit of heat even, so if you're anything like my immediate family (LOL), then you probably want to stay away. I generally go with one of the mild sauces and add from there with the plethora of bottles they have available for post-chicken-to-table seasoning. The sides are quite enjoyable, as well. Don't be afraid to try those peas. Believe me, they'll make you think twice about peas. The garlic bread is soft, crunchy, very flavorful, and nicely seasoned. Shout-outs to the corn and slaw, as well; both very delicious accompaniments. I love the decor in here, too. Very nautical in a far Western Europe/African way. Fun, but not pretentious. Colorful, but not obnoxious. Great balance of scenery and light. Overall, this place is a win. Very happy to have it next door. Maybe the chicken will keep getting better, we'll see. Upon walking in (ordering to-go) the cashier asked if I'd ever been there before to which I replied no and she explained the menu. They had many different spice options and sauces to chose from. I went with the half chicken with fries and corn on the side. I decided to try all there sauces because I am a sauce feen to say the least lol. The chicken was juicy but just seemed kind of small considering it was the bigger of the chicken options. Fries were okay, corn ehhhh. Not very sweet and kind of small.
