THE BELL IS BACK…read more Several years ago we lost our Taco Bell on highway 50 due to eminent domain as they made the road safer by adding in frontage roads. It's funny how Taco Bell went down but McDonald's didn't. Ronnie the clown must have some political pull when it comes to Wisconsin government officials. This location is now located in the BP gas station. It's not a quick in and out anymore. It's crammed near the car wash. You won't be able to park in front and you'll definitely have to walk around to get inside. The location is also not connected to the other store front. It has its own dedicated entrance. This location has a kiosk to order food from, ensuring that you won't have to talk to a single Taco Bell employee. I did learn a few things that I never knew. You can really customize your food order. For example, let's talk tomatoes. You can select no, light, regular or extra tomatoes. I always assumed the choices were tomatoes and no tomatoes. If you do select extra tomatoes there is an up charge and this goes for all ingredients you select extra. I wanted to see what would happen if I added everything extra to the $5 nacho and it balloons to a $10.20 nacho. Damn! Talk about upgrading your nacho. We didn't go big...$5 is good for us. The bell is back but it's hidden next to the BP. There's a drive-thru which is probably the easiest way to get in here because the parking lot is not your typical configuration. There's a ton of fast food on this street but this is the closest you can get to Mexican food on the strip. I know it's a stretch calling this Mexican food.
