    Steak Burrito Bowl

Good size portion. Value of the dollar is reasonable. Staff is friendly. Received free drinks for military. Overall a good experience.

    Tortilla soup with grilled chicken

The restaurant looked clean, and we have enjoyed the food in the past. Tonight I ordered the tortilla soup with chicken. I took a bite and it was rubbery. After looking at it and realizing it's also pink, I took it back up to the restaurant staff and was told it's pink because the soup made it that way, and that they check the temperature of it after cooking. However, I poured a very small amount of soup into one section of my bowl, and the soup never touched the majority of my chicken. I'm so grossed out that I took a bite, but the chicken was covered over by the other ingredients, and I didn't think to look it over. I don't think that I'll be able to eat Qdoba again. I think either a cook didn't check with a meat thermometer before pulling the chicken, or the thermometer malfunctioned. Whatever it is, I don't care because I'm not returning. On a positive note, the steak my family ordered looked cooked, and the restaurant appeared clean. I just can't eat pink rubbery chicken.

The service was good also. I was seated right away and it wasn't too busy , but after a few minutes more families and couples showed up. The hours for the buffet is 11am to 2pm. I got here around 12:30. They start you out with a small cup of a noodle soup with corn in it and kind of taste like chicken soup , not bad. Chips and Salsa. The salsa was not spicy at all , kind of bland. I could've asked for a hotter one , but I was here for the buffet , not chips and salsa right. I ordered a Sweet Tea and it was just right , not too sweet , not under sweet or watered down. My first plate I got Chori Pollo which is a Chicken Breast topped with Chorizo and a Cheese Sauce. Very good and I'm usually not a fan of chorizo. Chicken Enchilada with white sauce. The tortilla didn't taste like store bought it tasted freshly homemade , very good. Refried Beans and Rice were average , but went well with lunch. Chicken Wing was hot , fresh , and good. A couple pieces of Chicken Fajita meat to try , was seasoned good. A piece of Beef Fajita in like a red sauce was also good. Second plate I got another small piece of Chori Pollo , Rice and Beans , Chili Verde , a Chicken Taquito , and a small piece of Flan. The Chili Verde was pork and was so tender it just pulled apart with a fork , but it was a little too salty for me. The flavor was very tasty though. I usually don't like Flan , but this one had a Choco like taste to it and I liked it. The chicken taquito was okay. All in all I will be back and will bring my son and his wife to give the lunch buffet a try. I would like to try a drink also , so I will make them drive. Ha ha. They also do a Military Discount. I will definitely recommend this others and I also posted a short video on social media of the buffet.

The staff at El Sabor were genuinely friendly, and the presentation of my Torre Mulegé was…read morestunning. It arrived as this dramatic, beautifully constructed tower of mixed seafood topped with avocado and a whole shrimp--definitely a dish that makes an entrance. The seafood seemed fresh, but I discovered that this particular style of mixed mariscos just isn't for me. Some of the seafood had a gray, translucent appearance and texture that I personally didn't enjoy. That may simply be characteristic of the preparation rather than any problem with the dish. I only tried this one item, so I don't think it would be fair to judge the kitchen more broadly based on my personal preference. What I can comment on much more definitively is the noise. It was extraordinarily loud. I eventually pulled out my phone and measured the sound level because I genuinely wanted to know whether it was as loud as it felt. I recorded levels exceeding 100 dB, with peaks around 103 dB. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately, I could barely hear them. I enjoy energetic restaurants and certainly don't expect dinner to take place in a library. But there's a point where "lively atmosphere" becomes something prospective customers deserve to know about before deciding where to spend an evening. This crossed that line for me. If a very high-energy, extremely loud environment is your thing, you may have a completely different experience. If you're hoping to have a conversation over dinner without shouting across the table, I'd choose accordingly. Friendly staff, impressively presented food, and a seafood dish that simply wasn't my jam. But the volume overwhelmed everything else about the experience--and at 103 dB, that's not background music. That's the main course.

Upon walking in, we were told to sit anywhere we like. There were tables and chairs and booths to choose from. You are given queso, salsa and relish to start. The queso is good, the salsa was different than I am used to. It almost had a sweet taste. I am not sure what was in it, but it was different. One of the people with us said they were the best carrots she had ever had. The food came quickly. It was cooked fresh to order. On the table were multiple sauces to choose from. You were also offered green or red sauce. The beans and rice were very good. The chicken fajitas could have used a bit more flavor, but they were good. Taco salad was fresh with big chunks of avocado in it. They were friendly staff. It is a nice little place, but would be easy to miss. We would all go again.

It is a confined space so it felt a little crammed. Food: Contrary to most other reviews, this place is awful. The birria tacos lacked flavor, really having not much at all. The consommé had some flavor, but the meat itself was bland. The grilled chicken was very basic and lackluster - served as a thin chicken breast on top of rice. It was up charge to get queso on the grilled chicken. The queso and salsa were sub par. The beans and rice were nothing special, which is shocking for a Mexican restaurant.
