Rude manager
Sarah J.

Good food, terrible experience. The servers behind the counter were super friendly. I wanted the Cholula chicken but wanted to try it before getting it and one of the employees gave me a sample. You can get a lot more free toppings here than in Chipotle. Quality of food is good. One of the managers (in the picture) was super rude. He was telling his employees not to give big portions or to give less. He was so stingy. His attitude was also rude. They advertise as many toppings but when my sister and I asked for a few different ones he said "You can only have a few." So we had to choose 3, which is ridiculous. I will never be back here and will 100% be going solely to chipotle. My sister said when he's not there they give better portions and are nicer. Not worth going here when managers are stingy and rude.

Usually a chipotle lover, but decided to try Qdoba today for the first time in forever. I started ordering and the servers were super nice, but were very stingy with the amount of food they were giving. At this location the manager was out watching the workers, and I think that made them a little nervous. As I was going through the line deciding what I wanted, the manager was really rushing me. For example, after I got some corn he nearly yelled, "any cheese or sour cream". I panicked and said yes, then realized I could have also got guacamole and other toppings rather than just cheese and sour cream. I felt like the manager intentionally rushed me to get me to build a lighter bowl. Overall the food was good and the location is clean, my experience was just ruined by the bad service.

Tortilla soup bowl
Mistey W.

I recently saw an ad for their tortilla soup bowl and it was so inviting. I have been dying to try it but there is no restaurant near me. Luckily, I went out with friends and there was one nearby. I stopped in for the bowl, not realizing that you still have to select all of the items that go in your soup. I was a little worried about this but I think I made good choices and kept it pretty traditionally a tortilla soup. I got grilled chicken, black beans, rice, corn, pickled red onion, a side of mild salsa, a scoop of guacamole, and topped it with shredded cheese. It was amazing! This is the first time in a long time I did not feel disappointed by a fast food place. I would absolutely go back if there were one closer to me. I went at about 9:00 and the store was set to close at 10:00 p.m. however, the two people working behind the counter were extremely nice and welcomed me as soon as I came through the door. The place was very clean, hopefully it's always this way, so I was very excited about that. I told the staff that I was here for the first time and they explained to me how things go and we're very helpful in me making some decisions. I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie because who passes up chocolate chip cookies? But I wasn't as impressed with the cookie. Just a personal preference but I don't really like super hard cookies and it lacked a little flavor. But again, the tortilla soup bowl was divine! If you have not had a chance to go to Qdoba, you definitely should make time.

There is not much really good or bad to say about QDOBA. Its a half a notch up from Taco Bell and that is about it. The food is average quality and taste. The thing to look for here is their temporary items. Those that will not be on the menu for long are usually your best bet. By the way, their queso cheese mighty good!

I ate about half the burrito before I pulled this three incher out of my mouth.. appears to be light brown?

They not only got our order wrong.. One burrito didnt have extra meat and mine didnt have hot peppers.. but mine also happened to have a HAIR in it!!! Yup! I pulled a hair out of my mouth/ teeth! Gross! Im disgusted! Its going to take a lot for them to redeem themselves, if theyre even capable of doing so.

AVOID THE CHICKEN Drizzle, fat, just terrible. I'd like to try the other meats but I may just avoid the place altogether.

Line went quickly, food was great. Tasted fire compared to chipotle, $30 for 2 burritos & 2 drinks is pretty average nowadays

I went with two friends and they loved the tacos too. Secondly, it just feels like the emphasis is on great food and comfortable setting - which I love, because it keeps the cost reasonable and the vibes light and relaxed. Lastly, we were greeted with big smiles, regular check ins to get us chips and water, and a hearty "thanks for coming" before leaving. In a fast food world, that kind of personal touch is lost 99% of the time. I really love this place and can't wait to come back soon.

It looks very small from the outside as it's part of a small strip. But the seating is quite spacious and the menu is huge! It's a whole book of so many items: tacos, Taco dinners, fajitas dinners, tortas, tostadas, burritos and so much more. Upon seating, they give you complimentary salsa and chips. The salsa for the chips is very basic 2/5 stars. I ordered the following tacos: Asada Taco with cilantro and onion Shrimp Taco Cecina Taco with cilantro and onion All three tacos were absolutely delicious and unique. The shrimps were a good decent size.. somep places they are super tiny! But these were pretty good! Would definitely come back again!

Dress up or dress down, you'll fit right in here. This is a pricier establishment, however, it's not as pricey as Chicago. Service throughout was perfect. We went full tapas mode and shared everything across the table, which is absolutely the right way to do this. The trio of salsas was a strong opener. The smoky Al Morita was the clear winner for me, though all three brought something distinct to the table. The Patatas Bravas were well seasoned and the sunny side egg on top added a richness that elevated the whole dish. Wanted a little more crisp on the potatoes but honestly a minor note on an otherwise solid plate. Tacos were a mixed bag. The Al Carnitas fell flat, the pork belly felt underseasoned and the lime overpowered everything else. The Al Fundido though was a genuine standout. Perfectly cooked butterfly shrimp, pickled onions, melty cheese. Every component earning its place on the tortilla. The Al Chulo got solid marks from the table but could use something bright to cut through the richness. The Chicken Empanadas were a highlight of the night. Shatteringly crispy, loaded with flavor, and the slaw alongside them was exactly the right call. The Al Mango Salad was fresh and balanced but leaned sweet and desperately wanted a crunchy element and maybe a little heat to round it out. Dessert delivered a split decision. The Al Platanito Frito was the surprise of the evening. Sweet, sour, bright, crunchy. A perfect final bite. The churros were perfectly fine and nothing more. Service was attentive and our server steered us well with recommendations. One heads up: this is not a casual weeknight cheap eat. It is tapas priced for the experience, so come hungry, come with a group, and come ready to spend. Worth it. The Plainfield location is next on our list and we cannot wait.

I've seen a lot of griping from people that they had hoped this spot was more in line with the other restaurants under the Bien Trucha banner but I feel like they did a decent job of setting expectations while letting people know this was going to be a different experience so I wasn't thrown by the new concept. I enjoyed the feel of the place and the ambiance. Felt like a chill bar spot I would have no problem hanging out in while in Wheaton with the added bonus of delicious, affordable Mexican fare that doesn't sacrifice quality. I ordered some tasty shrimp tacos with great seasoning and handmade tortillas. They were topped with what was definitely the best guacamole I've tasted from a fast casual spot. Others at the table tried several different types of tacos as well as enchiladas and everything looked really appetizing. We also sampled a number of their draft cocktails which all tasted wonderful. Sweetchilango can definitely hit the spot if you're looking for an elevated fast casual expierence.

This restaurant is a recent addition to the…read moreBien Trucha group, but of all the locations I have eaten at (Bien Trucha, Santo Cielo and Quiubo; have not been to Lil Donkey or A Toda Madre) this was the weakest one. Why? - We both thought the corn tortillas were too thick and flabby. These tacos are somewhat bigger than you get at other places, so the support structure needs to be there, but I have seen other places get around this with two thinner tortillas instead. These also barely seemed to have touched a comal: they weren't blistered and still had a doughy quality. - The thick tortillas translated into thick tortilla chips, and neither of us liked the salsa Verde. My fiance liked the house sauce that is in a bottle on the table better. - He got two tacos and a side of esquites (street corn), I got three tacos. We both thought the chicken (in his chicken tinga taco and my pollo pipian taco) tasted gamy. He liked the one better with steak and potato (picadillo), and the esquites was good. I liked the flavor of the rajas con crema quite a bit, with poblano pepper, cheese curds and corn, but it was rather messy to eat. Likewise, my birria taco was very flavorful but just poured grease out of the end...yuck. - For two of us for dinner with no drinks (both got tap water) it was right at $50 (48 and change). That is a LOT for tacos, especially considering that some weren't very good (looking at that chicken here). - A note on accessibility: I was encouraged because there's a ramp going up into the restaurant, but there are only a few regular tables: most are high tops. I wish this trend in restaurants would go away! Everyone can use a regular table; not everyone can use a high top. One accessible thing is that you can either order at the counter, or order from a QR code menu and they'll bring it to your table. So overall, Sweetchilango is only getting a middling grade from me. There are so many other good taco shops in this area that I don't need to break the bank coming here. I'd say it's an optional choice if you're looking for something different, but the inconsistency of the quality of the dishes we had make trying something new a challenge.

Los, as she calls it, serves up some delicious more authentic Mexican. It is a fast casual eatery that seems to be a favorite amongst locals. The menu consists of a lot of your tex-mex staples like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! You can dine in or carry out, although you get complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in. Service is good and the food comes out quickly. If you order separately, you have to order and pay at the front, otherwise your server will take your order. The inside is very casual and not the cleanest, but not to the point where it's unappealing. The chips were decent and were warm when they arrived. They looked more like Tostitos, but they appeared fresh so I assumed they were made in house. The salsa is great, a little sweet, a little spicy--perfect! I ended up ordering three steak tacos and a pork tamale. The tacos do not come with complimentary rice and beans. I personally appreciated this as I wasn't in the food for either on this particular occasion. Food came out about 8-10 minutes later. Served made to order, everything looked phenomenal! The steak tacos had two tortillas each, filled with ample amounts of tender steak, some shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and topped with tomato slices. I loved the corn tortillas as they seemed homemade. Homemade tortillas are a game changer and automatically amplify any Mexican dish. The steak was flavorful, a little chewy, but still good. The tacos were packed with steak and they were very filling. My friend got the chicken tacos and they came with onion and cilantro. These appeared more "authentic" than mine, but I still liked mine. Now the pork tamale was easily the best I've had. The corn masa had the perfect texture and the pork was very flavorful. I would recommend this as a side for sure! Overall, I enjoyed Los and can see why my friends Cole here for a causal dinner together. It seems like the perfect spot to grab a chill dinner with friends. Food seems authentic, service is decent, and the vibes are super chill. I will say, this place gives "hole in the wall" kind of vibes, but trust me the food is great! I really loved the homemade tortillas and the pork tamale, both hit the spot. Portions are large and the food isn't expensive at all. Would definitely try it if you haven't already.
