My friend wanted k BBQ so this was near her place. Haven't been here in over a year and this time I tried the K BBQ. Last time I tired the hot pot so I felt it deserved an update. Service was really good. Our main server K took good care of us. It was AYCE for 2 people I paid around $100 plus tip but my friend also got some Soju so cost was as expected. We tried a bunch of different meats including the pork belly, chicken bulgogi, beef rib tips. They also have a whole slew of different sauces available and fried Korean sugar bread for dessert. The meat portions were fine and unique in that you don't have a limit at a time, but can't say there were many enticing options on the menu. Our server otherwise was nice and attentive and the price did seem to match what we got (compared to other KBBQ spots). My family and I opt in for the KBBQ and hot pot option which was great because we got the best of both worlds lol. Now, the service was ok, my server kept forgetting things we asked for and/or brought it out later than expected. The meat was good, but I've had better. I'm not sure if we kept ordering the wrong thing or they kept bringing out the wrong meat because we kept getting meats we did not order / meats that were sweet when we ordered the "unsweeted" one. The staff were super great! Everyone from the hostess to the waiters were super chill and friendly. The place was also well spaced out and they did their best to keep it clean. The food was pretty average. You honestly can't beat that price but I've had much better hotpot else where. Great staff and place but the food is average. Unacceptable management, misleading waitlist, and a complete waste of time Checked in as a walk-in party of 2 and was officially added to the waitlist. We intended to order the full BBQ + hot pot combo. From 2:40 PM to 4:20 PM, we waited nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes and were never seated, despite multiple empty tables visible the entire time. What's unacceptable: other walk-in parties of 2 who arrived AFTER us were seated immediately, while we were repeatedly told to keep waiting with no explanation. At 4:19 PM, the restaurant removed us from the waitlist without notifying us, even though we were physically present the whole time. This was not peak hours. This was not a capacity issue. This was grossly incompetent waitlist handling and management failure. After reading other reviews mentioning similar waitlist issues and even serious drink hygiene concerns, it's clear this is not an isolated incident, but a pattern. This place does not respect customers' time, and the management clearly lacks basic operational control. Will not return. Do not recommend. read more

This place has both hot pot AND kbbq. I got both! However I'd recommend just sticking with one. Otherwise your table might be too busy! It is ~$35 for both. Surprisingly the grill gets pretty hot fast too! For BBQ I loved their beef tongue. It's the right thickness for grilling and goes well with the samjang! It's a rare find for kbbq here in CO. Unfortunately Rice is a little too dry though. Also I do wish pork belly was a little thicker and that the Galbi was more meaty rather than mainly bone. It would make the kbbq experience better. The spicy broth was delicious and flavorful. Recommend just getting the fatty beef and lamb and all sorts of mushrooms. Service is super quick and you order on the iPad. I've got to admit it's pretty fun to order tons of meat, cook it yourself, and dip it into any number of sauces (but I'd skip the sauces, they aren't great, and for most of the meats, the marinade is better). It was hilarious that there were all you can eat chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks, but, you got to feed the kids, and most kids don't want squid (or most adults, and personally I'd also skip the squid). Kpot KBBQ and Hot Pot is all the hype right now and I honestly thought it would be like all the other KBBQ and hot pot places that have been popping up but I will say Kpot is definitely one of the better ones and has one major advantage over the others besides also being being open much later (10:30PM Sunday to Thursday and 11:30PM Friday and Saturday). First off, the place is very busy. Unfortunately, they also do not have a waitlist you can join online or make reservations. You have to arrive at the restaurant and then join the waitlist so expect to wait at least 20-30 minutes during peak times. You can either do KBBQ or Hot Pot or do both for $5 extra. We decided to just stick to KBBQ. The meats, vegetables, rice, and everything else tasted great and fresh. Definitely so when you consider it's an AYCE place. The choices of meats is also impressive with all your typical KBBQ meats and others too. Now here's the best part of Kpot. They have a tablet at each table where you can submit your orders without having to wait for the server to come by. Absolute game changer. We didn't have to wait for anything and got our orders out impressively quickly. All other AYCE places need to implement this. I can't wait to go back and gorge on ridiculous amounts of KBBQ that I will definitely not regret the next day. read more

Went for Korean BBQ as we were in the area. When we arrived, the host told us it would be about a 20 to 30 minute wait. 45 minutes later I checked with them and they said it was going to be at least another 20 minutes. Fast forward, we finally were seated. The ordering system is very easy as it is on a tablet on your table. We proceed to the condiment and appetizer bar after we ordered our meat. By the time we went back to our table, our meat was being delivered. Overall, the meats were decently flavored. The cabbage and radish kimchi were awful. A little too sweet with a lot of anchovy flavor. Our waiter ended up being the same guy who told us 20 to 30 minute wait originally. He sees that we are a party of three and decides to only bring us two glasses of water for some reason. The grills are not the traditional grills with fire underneath a cast-iron grate. It is more like an aluminum plate over some type of electric heating element that takes a very long time to heat up. When we were about 75% through, we put our last bit of meat on the grill. The waiter stopped by to collect dishes and touches the controls for a second. We couldn't figure out why all of a sudden our meat wasn't cooking. I checked the controls at the end of the table and then he turned it off for some unknown reason. So I turned it back on and we had to wait another 10 minutes for it to heat up again. I've been to the aurora location and I honestly prefer that location. It's bigger than this one and they're more consistent with the accuracy of your order. This location was smaller so there is a bit of a wait. We waited for like 45 min for a party of six. It's a standard hotpot kbbq spot so nothing too special about it. However, service is pretty mediocre. We got our order wrong several wrongs where they forgot items but then gave us items we didn't order the second time. It became hard to keep track of everything that we got. It comes with a generous amount of meat and protein but be wary that the Galvi slices can come out quite fatty. So you aren't actually eating meat. Overall it's a decent place in the area. Nothing too special but there's a line because it's one of the few hotpot and kbbq spots in the area. read more

The meat, veggie and broth portions were replenished as much as you'd like. iPad ordering was convenient. We appreciated the sauce bar, dint get much else from the self serve appetizer station. The tables are large enough to not feel cramped with all of the items and plates. How are going to serve Korean bbq without those? These are simple things that could be fixed. Took my brother here for his birthday on a Friday early evening at 4 pm. Timing was perfect. We both opted for the hotpot and bbq. The place was clean, nice, and service was great. This place is definitely worth it for the huge variety of selections! Some of our favorite protein selections are the beef bulgogi, prime brisket, garlic shrimp, finger ribs, garlic pork belly, and the vegetables. Come with an empty stomach! We've had great experiences at Kpot before, but it has really gone downhill. On our latest date night it took 1 hour and 30 minutes just to get seated. Which was 30-40 min longer than we were quoted when we arrived. We were ravished at that point which made the wait for the grill to get going even more difficult. The grill never got hot enough to cook the raw meat. We pushed raw meat around for 25 min. It was on the highest cook setting but barely cooking the meat. The staff moved us to another table, but that grill also took another 25 minutes before the food would cook. By then, the whole evening was a flop. At a Korean BBQ, the grills should work properly. I'm going to start this review off a little differently than I normally do by commenting on the staff. Now typically, when you go into an establishment that serves international cuisine, you expect to see people of that country working there as a sign of its authenticity. Often times we stereotype, which is wrong, but it happens, so when I walked into this Korean BBQ and hot pot location, I was not expecting to see two blonde haired people of the Caucasian persuasion at the front. Not only were they not Asian, but the entire staff seem to be every single color of the rainbow. Now being a flawed human, I was a little skeptical of the authenticity of this restaurant, but my goodness was this a wake up call. Every member of the staff was extremely knowledgeable, polite, helpful, and the manager that walked around (also not Asian) was very accommodating. As for the food, there are two options that you can get at your table. Korean BBQ and hot pot. It is all you can eat and you can have both of them at a table for a 5$ up charge. I went for the lunch session which was 20.99$ and I got a drink which means with tip, it came out to about $32 per person which is about average for most all you can eat places. I was on the fence on whether or not I wanted to do hot pot or Korean BBQ and ultimately settled on the hot pot because it was a colder day but I would definitely come back and try the Korean BBQ next time. They had several different broth options. I ended up going with the Szechuan option, which was spicier, but very flavorful. In hindsight, I would've chosen one that was not so hot because I'm getting over a cold. They have a lot of different meat, options, seafood, veggie, and starches. They also have some options that are available only during dinner time. What was unique about this experience was your waiter will help you put in your initial order but each table has an iPad and you're able to request additional items to your table without having to ask. I will say that their portion sizes are smaller so if you have a large group, I recommend putting in a big order otherwise you'll have to re-order many times. Even with the iPad, the staff was very attentive and still checked in on me to make sure things were going well. I did use the bathroom while I was there and I did not check for changing cables but I know they had booster chairs. The bathrooms were very very clean but the stalls themselves were very tiny so if you are a bigger person, you may struggle opening and closing the door. Overall, I was impressed by their selection, cleanliness price, and location and I would highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I love kbbq and I love hot pot so KPot has become one of my regular places and one of my favorite spots up north. Is it the best quality meats? Nope. Does it have the most variety for hot pot? Nope. Do I get excellent service? Nope. But it hits the spot, is reasonably priced and all the servers I've had are friendly and have treated me awesomely (Eric is the best!) I can order whatever I want, when I want on the iPad and just wait for it to come out, which usually happens pretty fast. I can come eat with my kids for a family meal and I can come with my friends to eat, drink and hang out. I also love the vibes and the music. It's just a fun place to eat! It's a plus they have additional appetizers on top of hot pot and/or kbbq. I use to travels to South Korea for business trip. I guess you can said I know Korean food. When I move to Colorado there was no Korean BBQ. Now you have K- PoP BBQ. I would said the service was good. The ambience was modern. Nothing impressive nor stand out. First red flag is there is no varieties of small kimchi dishes serve. They only have one KimChi from a jar store bought. Second red flag is the meats where cut thin paper size. Pork belly was thinner than my credit card. Third flag is they don't know how to make Asian boba drink. Lack of artistic and culture. Fourth flag. They don't know what is 'hotpot'. K-Pop hot pot is more like SOX's soup. They think by throwing in lots of items it turn to nice broth. 5th red flag is there is no Asian customer eating there. There is nothing cultural or authentic cuisine here. Drinking lots of beer and cocktails to make it taste good. They said all you can eat. But the bar was chicken nuggets, mini hotdogs, fruits and dipping sauce. K-Pop is the first and last for me. I thought Honolulu had good KBBQ because of all the Korean influence there, but KPOT might just be the best KBBQ I've had in a while. Not to mention, you can't beat the price here--dinner/weekend pricing is quite reasonable for AYCE. Upon arrival, we were originally seated right behind the hostess's station, but ended up changing tables a couple of times so we could be in a booth that was less busy/distracting. Luckily our waiter was understanding and didn't give us a problem, which was definitely appreciated. I believe his name was Martín--he gets a 10/10 for service. He always made an effort to check up on us even when the restaurant got busy. I mean, this place gets hoppin! I'd for sure make the trip from Boulder just for the kalbi, which was so tender and full of flavor. Most of the kalbi I've eaten has been too sweet and tough as nails, so this was a pleasant surprise. Plus, considering the price of kalbi nowadays, whether you buy it at H-Mart or a Korean restaurant, ordering kalbi at KPOT is such a deal. Please do not change the way you prepare the kalbi, it is perfect. The ambiance kind of reminded me of a KBBQ restaurant in Honolulu, so it felt a bit nostalgic for me. I've been to KPOT and KBBQ before, but they were not like the KPOT located in Thornton, CO of all places. This was my second time at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, and we opted for the BBQ option only. As soon as you walk through the door, the ambiance is front and center: Neon lights on the walls and ceiling, the smell of grilled meats, and restaurant-goers all with smiles on their faces; KBBQ is an experience unlike no other, and KPOT does it right. Both times we've been, the servers were not only friendly but they were also funny. The staff here does a great job and is very attentive to the clientele which is a nice bonus for a place that makes you cook your own food! The unique thing about this place is that you place your order via the tablets on your table. No longer are the days of waiting for your server to place an order for meats. Not only is this process efficient, but it is quick as well. This is easily the best way to go about AYCE, and other restaurants should copy this model. Overall, KPOT is a great place to go for a special occasion. AYCE for $25-$35, you cannot beat this price. My one gripe with KPOT is the lack of various options for banchan, but with the other pros of this place I can let that go. Definietly give KPOT a try next time you are north of Denver. read more
