Was at 14th & 5th location. Made an appointment for mani pedi & 10 minute massage. Had to change twice because of meetings & traffic. They were VERY accommodating! Really needed my nails done so was very thankful. Was happily greeted, nice relaxing music too! Place was super clean ! Mandy did a great job cleaning up my nail beds! QQ Nails had a pristine look about it, and the service was very nice and friendly. The great service was definitely a standout. The hand massage after I got my polish felt super nice. (I wish the massage was longer to be honest, but it was a definite treat.) I also got the pedicare, which left my lower legs and feet feeling very soft. You don't get the polish soaked off for gel removal; you get the polish shaved off. It's personally not my preference, since my nails felt weak already. That left some texture under the regular polish, which shows through but isn't super obvious unless you look at my nails closely. However, would I go back? Certainly, although I'll likely wait until my nails get healthier again. The gel colors are so pretty, so I want to try those! read more

Where do I even begin. I went to 2 separate locations on the upper east side. The first location on 2nd ave the nail tech was very rude to me. The second location I went to on 3rd ave they were very nice to me and they gave better customer service. However, I'm very upset with the lasting quality every time I've been. I've had to visit them 3 separate times to fix my nails. Because the builder gel bubbled up and cracked 3 days after getting my nails done. I have a really busy work and travel schedule and it's been really frustrating. I recently moved to a new apartment and tried QQ nails for the first time but after repeatedly coming across issues, I don't want to go again. I never had this issue with my last nail salon downtown. My nails would last 4-6 weeks. Very upsetting.. I honestly do not recommend going here. read more

While the ladies were friendly at QQ, the job done and the quality of the establishment were quite low. Very low attention to detail, the paint isn't evenly done across my nails and the shape isn't really what I wanted. Didn't have a ton of colors either. Service was ok....not a ton of time on the pedicure really exfoliating the legs or spending time properly cleaning the cuticles on nails. I don't expect this to last long given how poorly the nails were painted - will not be back for sure, esp given it wasn't quite expensive for the work done. read more

I have been to other QQ Nails & Spa locations but this by far was the worst experience. I have never had my nails crack right after getting my nails done. 5 nails are cracked! I'm not sure if i was under the uv light for too long or the mix of soaking off my dip mixed with the gel made my nails very weak or the lady who did my nails doesn't know what she is doing. I just know i will never go to that location again. I also got a gel pedicure and that was done well. I love that QQ Nails & Spa puts wax on your heels free of charge! That i would say is their saving Grace and i would consider going for a pedicure but never got a manicure of any kind. Lastly i had some nails that needed a tip and those nails cracked under the extensions. read more

I happened upon this salon while I was in NYC and was intrigued by the Japanese gel advertised in the window. I stopped and made an appointment for that afternoon. The tech was very meticulous in the shaping of my nails and the application of the polish. I don't know that I've ever had such a perfect application. And the gel lasted over 2 weeks before it started coming off. And, as also advertised, the nail underneath looks healthy and is nice and strong, maybe even better than before the manicure. The nail tech used an e-drill aggressively to lift my cuticle and even used them on my natural nail bed...I told her that it felt uncomfortable (I've never experienced pain during cuticle care before) and she responded that it shouldn't be painful and kept going (and even went back with a drill again later). I should've left at this point. She rushed through the rest of the appointment as well, and didn't apply lotion, etc. Now I'm at home and my fingers are swollen and painful, and there's blood on several cuticles. I had a horrible experience at QQ a couple years ago and stopped going. However, recently I had a few decent experiences so started to return more regularly. I was looking forward to my gel manicure (which typically costs $43). They informed me at the beginning of the manicure that it would cost $30 to remove my gel, even tho I was not charged this fee the last several times. I questioned them on this fee and they said I could leave if I didn't want to pay it. I decided to stay, but I really wish I just left. My nails are all different lengths and the color is so uneven on each nail. It cost me $73, and I have a feeling it's going to peel in a number of days. They take advantage of their clients, and I'll be going to YARA instead since for only $20 more I consistently get the best manicure of my life. Never again! read more

I have not done manicure/pedicure for a long time and I was quite excited to try out this newly opened location at Third avenue and 62nd Street UES. I arrived at the appt. time but no one really cares and greeted me while I stayed at the nail polish shelves for sometime to decide the colors. It was okay as I was doing the nail color choice. I just do not feel welcome there. The manicurist was okay but rough. I was cut on the toe nail cuticle and was not apologized. Also she almost cut my finger nails while filing it. Others are ok. The place is not as organized although new. I am not sure about the cleanliness of the facility up keeping either. I was actually disappointed and will find other places. read more

I visited this QQ since I was in the area and was running low on time and couldn't make it to the other one that I usually go to but the racism I had to endure from their nail tech was sincerely very discouraging and disgusting, she would ask me questions and if I didn't answer right away she would then start making jokes with her coworker in their language and laugh in my face like I wasn't aware of what was happening in the end I had someone else finish the job and didn't tip the one who decided that she had jokes and that it was funny to disrespect the customer. She kept leaving the tip way too far from my own nail and even though I told her I did not like it she didn't do anything but laugh and throw more jokes until I got mad and caught the managers attention so that she could have somebody who was more competent do my nails. Racism has never been good for business and it shouldn't become a normal behavior SPECIALLY in this industry, as an employer if you cannot have employees who KNOW how to behave and understand the difference between them being at work vs them being in a social setting then you don't have the right head for business either because whatever the employee does represents you and your beliefs whether you want to or not. We live in a modern world so for the most part being understanding of everyone else around you is a behavior most people will carry out BUT being on the phone, having headphones in, talking with your coworker, eating ANYTHING that has to do with yourself on the customer's time should NOT be happening. In the end, money is being paid for a service that's being provided conditionally however these new modern nail techs and workers think that they can do whatever they want which is wrong, IF I AM PAYING MY MONEY FOR A SERVICE YOU ARE PROVIDING you have to respect both my time and money since that is the main reason the show even runs BECAUSE OF THE CUSTOMER! Otherwise the salon wouldn't exist as it really wouldn't serve a purpose. I have since then learned how to do my own nails and will not be visiting another QQ nail even if my life depends on it "what's one small client we lost gonna do? She acts like we care" you should or you're really in the wrong industry, caring is about delivering above and beyond service that will only drive more revenue to your business PEOPLE RETURN WHEN THEY HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE. read more
