She picked this out because vinyl was "cost-friendly," but I quickly found out many great engineered hardwood sections that were cheaper and nicer looking than vinyl with TJ's help. TJ was chill, nice, and talked to my fiancé and me for two hours, educating us on engineered hardwood flooring and helping us pick out almost 4,000 sq ft of 4 different types of flooring for four different units to help us maintain the original beauty of the Edwardian building and stay under budget. We ended up saving over $10K switching from vinyl to engineered hardwood by purchasing from The Floor Store!

Only after I was forced to follow up after more than a week of silence did Rodney admit the warehouse "misplaced" the inventory. Rather than taking accountability for failing to order/secure the product on time, he attempted an unauthorized product swap--sending photos of a completely different alternative carpet and trying to force it onto my project without my consent. When confronted, Rodney scrambled, blamed the HOA, made excuses about warehouse inventory numbers, and admitted the original carpet would take weeks to arrive--confirming he spent weeks hiding severe delays rather than managing the order. THIS IS A DIRECT 24-HOUR NOTICE TO MANAGEMENT: I require store management to contact me directly within 24 hours to either: 1. Provide written confirmation of a firm, expedited delivery and installation date for the exact contracted carpet, OR 2. Process a 100% full refund of my deposit immediately so I can take my business to a professional vendor. If management fails to resolve this within 24 hours, I will be filing a formal credit card chargeback for unfulfilled goods/services and taking further steps to recover financial holding damages caused by these listing delays. I said OK. That afternoon the demolition began. In two weeks he completed the job. He will work around your schedule. We had a family incident and needed to push back the work a day. We also had to wait a few days for the faucet to be delivered. The hours are up to you. We were OK with his team working into the late evening to get the job done because we were down a bathroom. Vitali and Alex work really really hard and long hours. There were some up sale items, but we picked which ones we wanted. Our vanity was in bad shape; so we updated the vanity, sink, backsplash and faucet. Alex quoted us a great price and offered to do tile flooring which would have made the bathroom even nicer, but we decided that the flooring would be fine. Maybe save that for the next remodel. Going through any type of remodel or home update is emotional and risky. We did a home remodel years back and that's when we learned you can really only choose two of the three: quality, cost, or speed. With Alex we were able to get close to all three. Obviously your home is very dear, and there are small little things that you can sweat over. Your home will never be perfect. Not a year goes by without some work that needs to be done to my home. Things get old and break down. There are many things that I would do over, but everyday I go into my newly updated bathroom and smile.

Wow, where do I even begin? Ty and his team at Q's Flooring were absolutely incredible! I recently updated the flooring in my Martinez town home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I did my homework and got bids from four different contractors, but what truly set Ty apart was his excellent communication and responsiveness. His bid was clear and itemized, and he even pointed out potential problems before preparing the bid, which I really appreciated. The project was for around 900 square feet, plus stairs and they did an outstanding job. They sanded and refinished the existing oak floors in my entry area, living and dining room, replaced the carpet on the stairs and in the bedrooms with new matching oak floors. The team was not only punctual but also friendly, efficient, and incredibly hardworking. They took extra care to wrap everything up very carefully in plastic to protect from dust and the elements. What really impressed me was their attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ty went out of his way to match my new flooring with the existing style, which had different widths of wood planks. Installation went smoothly and included work like grinding down areas of our foundation that were not smooth, moisture testing, coating of the slab with a moisture barrier, etc. They also made sure they installed the wood in a manner that will allow the kitchen appliances to be removed without damaging the floor, when the time comes that they need to be replaced. Again, no one else we spoke with even mentioned any of this. There were transitions between floorings of some rooms that were at different heights. For some of the areas, Aleksey did not care for the off the shelf transitions that companies sell. Instead, he and his crew crafted their own transition pieces & thresholds that looked beautiful and did the job. Far more elegant and unintrusive. They did the same for the transitions between stone surrounding fireplaces and one bathroom. Everything was carefully thought through. The guys showed up at 8 AM and sometimes worked until 5 or 6 pm if they were trying to get certain things done. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Communication with Aleksey was always good. Elite Hardwood & Flooring is not simply an installation company. They are craftsmen that take a great deal of pride in their work and the results show it. We could not be happier with the job they did and highly recommend them. After getting 5 on-site quotes from various flooring installers, we knew we had made the right decision by hiring Aleksey and his talented crew at Elite Hardwood Flooring. Our job consisted of pulling up rooms of old carpet as well as an old kitchen hardwood floor, and replacing it all with 3/4" engineered wood from a Canadian company called Mirage. Elite's quote for materials and labor was not the most expensive nor the least, but when going through our house, Aleksey thought of questions, spotted issues, AND thought of solutions that no one else had asked about or even noticed.
