Tyler and his team did an incredible job repairing the wood floor in our kitchen. I couldn't be more happy with the end result or impressed by their hard work, expediency, knowledge, and professionalism. As a backstory: A couple years ago, the light wood (maple) floor in our kitchen was damaged when then refrigerator had to be pulled out for maintenance. My contractor at the time had TWO separate flooring companies come out and try to refinish and repair the spot, but every time the whole section of the floor in front of the fridge remained darker than the rest of the flooring. I was convinced the only way to fix the issue was going to be to replace the floor full stop. Anyway, Tyler came to my home to install a wood floor in the guest house (another great job!), and told me he believed he could sand and refinish the area in front of the fridge so it blended perfectly with the rest of the floor. I was skeptical, but gave him a try. He wound up sanding a large area of my kitchen and also adding in an additional area where the floor had been damaged by my kids scooting in and out their counter stools. After painstakingly cleaning and refinishing the floor, it now looks PERFECT and indistinguishable from the rest of the kitchen. My contractor and I were both floored by the quality of his work. I plan on using Tyler for all future flooring projects, and couldn't be happier. His company is fairly new, but he himself has been working in the flooring industry for more than 20 years. If you're thinking about using him, just do it. You won't regret it! read more

Q's Flooring did a great job working on our hardwood floors. We needed several tongue-and-groove planks removed and replaced due to crowning and cupping. After coming by for an initial consultation, Ty and his team returned and carefully removed all the old boards (without damaging any of the untargeted planks), evened out the underlying concrete flooring that was causing the issue, and installed the new boards. He also replaced several boards on a wood foundation flooring. Lastly, Ty provided some additional caulking free of charge. Q's Flooring worked on our upstairs and downstairs spaces and cleaned everything up very well, completing all requested work in under two days. Ty at Q's Flooring did a wonderful job taking out the damaged wood floor down to the slab, and installing new wood planks. It was a hard job since it ended up being termite damage rather than water damage. This caused him to have to reschedule since they had to wait until the termite company came and drilled and inserted termite poison into the slab. What an incredible and HONEST business. Rare to find. I worked with Ty and showed him a large mark on my floor that had come from moving furniture. I didn't want a major repair or refinishing, so he sent someone to take a look and assess in person. Rather than give me an outrageous estimate for refinishing, he recommended a quick fix to minimize the appearance of the mark and did his best to make it pretty much invisible with a bit of stain and expertise. Ty is the Floor whisperer! My son and daughter-in-law moved into their first home three weeks ago. After move in they noticed the engineered hardwood floors were making all kinds of loud noises - popping, groaning, etc... We called in several different floor "experts." They cited poor installation as the cause and said we'd need to rip up the flooring in the three affected rooms - An expensive solution. Ty came out and quickly determined one room needed the subfloor shimmed and firmed up from the bottom and the two other rooms needed epoxy injected. We were skeptical because each "expert" had a different opinion. We decided to go with Ty. Guess what? He was 100% right. I messaged a couple different flooring companies for estimates. Ty was the first to respond back. He was available the following day to come and give an estimate. He showed up when he said he would and gave me a full written estimate. I got a couple more estimates but Q's was the best we got. I contacted him again to set up the work. We wanted it done before Christmas (2 weeks) and he was able to make that happen. He showed up when he said he would with his crew. I had some heavy furniture to move. He helped me move things around which was a big help for me. He did a buff and refinish in our living room and a full refinish (sand, stain, 3 coats of finish) to our kitchen/dining area. It took 3 days, but he left the rooms accessible each night. There was no mess or dust ever. At the end, he helped us move furniture back on his own time.
