We tried both the homestyle thin crust pizza and pan pizza. Normally, we are not fans of thin crust…read more(the homestyle) pizza, but figured we had to try it since that is their specialty. We are so glad we did! Because the cheese was perfectly gooey without being overwhelming paired with a delicious tomato sauce atop a complimentary crust with just the right amount of give to it. This may be the only thin crust pizza I would continue to get. The pan pizza was basically just the thin crust pizza with a lip on the perimeter and more cheese. This pizza was not nearly as good as the thin crust because if I'm going to eat a non-thin crust pizza, I want a more doughy crust and this just did not deliver. There was also too much cheese and it wasn't charred the same way the thin crust was. The inside is quaint with hats from all over everywhere. Service is also very kind and as quick as they can be with how busy it is. My only complaint is I wish they had a vegetable side dish that was fried, but it's a local pizza shop and perhaps not the right audience for this.

We waited about 45 minutes for our pizza. It was basic, pepperoni, etc. It filled us up quickly. I think we left a piece behind. The medium was plenty for 3 avg people.

Very good tavern style pizza. We did a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza. Both were good, yet…read morethe pepperoni while it was generous in portion was a tad on the greasy and saltier side. The sausage was definitely the fan favorite for the kids. I have to say the pizza crust was really enjoyable, crispy throughout and not too paper thin and robust enough to hold all toppings. As far as service, it's best to call in ahead to put in your order, as I've heard they only pump out 100 or so pizzas per day and seem to be in high demand. For example, we called in on a weekday at 4:45pm and pick up wouldn't be until 6:35pm. So roughly, two hour wait which was on par with what I've read about. The shop itself is very small. Only two tables and the rest of the space is dedicated to the kitchen and pizza oven. I'd recommend taking to go as inside runs hot from the big ol' oven. All in all, really great quality tavern style. Worth a try if you can time the order with when you want to eat. =P 'Til next time, cheers!

Kim's Uncle Pizza in Westmont delivers a focused, uncompromising take on Chicago-style tavern…read morepizza. Thin, square-cut, and baked well-done, the pie showcases a crisp, structurally sound crust with just enough char to add bitterness and depth without overpowering the bite. The pepperoni is assertive and well-distributed, releasing savory oils that mingle with a bright, balanced tomato sauce and evenly browned cheese. Each slice holds its integrity--no flop, no excess grease--allowing the quality of the ingredients to remain front and center. The restraint here is intentional; nothing feels overworked or gratuitous. Kim's Uncle keeps the operation deliberately narrow: one pizza size, phone-in ordering only, and a clear commitment to execution over expansion. The result is a confident, old-school tavern pie that respects tradition while delivering precision. For those who appreciate classic Chicago pizza done thoughtfully and without compromise, this is essential. 9/10.
