Just okay. Food tasted okay, but super slow service. They gave one kid the wrong pasta shape - spaghetti instead of penne and luckily it was the least fussy one. Also, at the end when we asked to take the pizzas home, and we said we would take my husbands and the two pieces my daughter had left of hers, they brought one box that was too small to hold it all, so we had to smash it closed. read more

Giordano's holds a special place for me as it was the first deep dish pie I had years ago during my first visit to Chicago, so when I was staying in nearby Lombard for a few nights, I had to seek out a deep dish pie and was pleasantly surprised to see this Giordano's location! While I have sampled and tried many iterations of the deep dish pizza over the years, Giordano's is the classic...maybe not the best, but definitely the most classic of deep dish pizzas in my opinion. For this visit, I bellied up to the bar, grabbed a signature cocktail and went all in for my dinner. I started with an order of the cheese bread and followed up with a personal pepperoni deep dish. The cocktail, Windy City Punch, was okay. Nothing special, but it hit the spot and was a solid drink to wash down the pizza with. Food wise, the deep dish was great. Personal pizza was a tad smaller than expected, but it was just enough. The pizza itself was tasty, just what I was after! While the pie was good, the cheese bread was disappointing. First, they either gave me the wrong bread, forgot the cheese or need to rebrand the dish. It was lacking cheese and was pretty lackluster for a starter. Service was okay at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful, but was also doubling as a waitress on the floor, so she was not around most of my meal. Overall, decent visit to Giordano's. First time at this location with my wife and sister! We were seated immediately and our order was taken shortly after. The restaurant has a nice reddish ambiance. We came on a Saturday evening. yes it was a little busy, but there was no wait when we walked in. It took a while for anybody to notice us waiting to be seated. Finally, soneone did and seated us. It took a while for a server to come to the table. We ordered the Sampler, the cheese bread was not good - The chicken nuggets tasted like frozen - the mozzarella Square was not bad. Their version of Buscetta is a joke. The server didn't have any silverware napkins for us so we had to get The manager to give them us. Then we ordered the thin crust pizza. It was OK we've had better. the service was not great.. Food was great and the place was clean. The service however, very SLOW! Don't come here if you want to eat and run, I waited 25 mins for someone to take my order and no one showed up. i ate here about a year ago so I'll do my best with this review. I got to my nearby hotel on a work trip and this was my first stop for Chicago style pizza cause it was near my hotel. I actually enjoyed their meatball and chicken parmigiana sandwiches. They come with a choice of fries or salad and I chose the latter. Both sandwiches had an amazing flavor in the sauce that transformed the food in mouthwatering delectables. Delivery was fast and he actually came to my room on the 12th floor. I believe it's the manager for the Oak Brook restaurant. My son was minding his business cutting up his straw paper and he came up to him and wanted the paper from him because he didn't want him to drop it on the floor cause it would've made a lot of mess for them to clean up very rude. My son is on a spectrum. Don't think you should go up to anybody's kids and ask them from anything I came to this restaurant to have dinner with my son. Delicious Chicago style pizza can be had here. That buttery crust and good quality cheese will have you coming back time and time again. I was surprised at how tasty their salads were too. The personal pizza might seem small initially but this thing is like a casserole and you keep eating, and eating, and it doesn't seem to get any smaller. Left about a quarter of it because I just couldn't finish it as much as I wanted to. There's a reason why it's so popular, definitely worth a try. read more

Had dinner with my family. Appetizers were good. Pizza was good. They brought out the pasta for my children. The pasta with bolognese sauce was horrific! Smelled like someone had smoked a pack of cigarettes on it. My son took 3 bites and we sent it back. I wish he hadn't eaten any of it. It upset his stomach so bad it caused some unwelcome results. The server was good. The manager was horrible. Barely apologized and only offered a glass of water for our trouble. We've been there many times and this has to be the worst experience. Dressing tends to be at the bottom, so toss it well. Family size was more than enough for 4 people, next time I would choose the smaller entree portion. Deep dish must be eaten hot and fresh.
